Great for Trump but this guy changes parties every week. Now, he is more conservative. What is Trump, now, independent?
Anyway, great for Newt in my opinion, maybe he can make Trump in charge of job creations.

Other than stirring the pot, does Donald hold even one principle in common with conservatives?
Birds of a feather…..
Perhaps Donald also feels strongly that FDR was the greatest POTUS of the 20th century also.

Well good. That closes the door on a Third Party run by Trump that frankly, some were concerned about him making and would have taken a percentage away from Newt that he may have needed to offset Romney’s leftist tactics to run Newt into the curb.
Now, that won’t happen. Trump did have a goodly amount behind him from some conservative groups, and of course the Independents who might be following Newt as well.

Of course Trump will endorse Newt. Because he knows Newt is going to lose, so he can extend his BS about him running for Prez until May and beyond. It’s all about promotion for his NBC show. Vince McMahon taught him too well. He waited this long because he wanted to know which candidate was sure to lose. zzzzzzz

Brutal. I was hoping I was wrong, but it’s looking more and more like I’m not. Here’s the transparent plan coming together–
–Trump blows a lot of sunshine up people’s butts about being a great conservative. Never mind that he’s been exposed as anything but, by the likes of Levin and Rush.
–He “exits” stage left, throwing out the line, “I won’t run as a third party candidate unless the GOP nominates the wrong person.”
–Now, he endorses the “right person,” effectively saying who the “wrong person” is. He does it after the dust settles and it now is all but certain Romney (uh…the “wrong person”) is going to be the nominee.
–Then, Trump can lament that, “darn it…he didn’t want to do it, but he has no choice since the GOP nominated that RINO lib Romney” so he has no choice but to run as a third party candidate to “rescue and save America.”
Hmmm…I wonder what Trade Sports is trading at for “Trump running as a third party candidate?”
But…but…why would Trump run as a third party candidate??? It’s really not that hard to understand.

What a sore loser. If you lose the game, change the rules after the fact.
It’s true, he really does keep coming up with new ideas.

Would Gingrich be challenging this rule if he’d won Florida?
He might be able to get his 16 delegates if he whines loud enough, but it’ll cost him all credibility.

Why not?
‘Tea Party in Space (TPIS) is excited to endorse Newt Gingrich for President of the United States. Mr. Gingrich is the only candidate who consistently articulates a bright vision for future American space exploration and settlement. Mr. Gingrich’s unique approach of utilizing the government and private sector is exactly what NASA needs.
“Newt Gingrich is the only credible candidate in this primary race in Florida who has any credibility when it comes to America’s future in space,” said Andrew Gasser, President and National Coordinator for TPIS. “Newt will not have to take a poll or rely on ‘advisors’ who have a history of poor history of delays and significant budget overruns. Instead, he wants to return NASA to the beaming example of American exceptionalism that it once was.”
The TPIS team reached out to all of the candidates looking for their personal positions on space policy, as well as reviewed debate answers, and speeches made on the subject. The candidates were then graded on the tea party core values of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets. Mr. Gingrich was graded “superior” in every category.
“Mr. Gingrich’s bold announcement of a moon base by 2020 is not unrealistic like some would have Americans believe,” Gasser continued. “Newt brings the kind of leadership lacking at NASA while the other candidates want to continue the status quo. This isn’t the 1960s and 70s where ‘only NASA’ could build rockets and space stations. Today the private sector has more than proven that if you remove the shackles of government bureaucracy, American ingenuity will flourish.”‘
Tea Party in Space Endorses Gingrich for President
You’re the kind of effin moron who laughed at JFK’s moon mission..
‘First, I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish. We propose to accelerate the development of the appropriate lunar space craft. We propose to develop alternate liquid and solid fuel boosters, much larger than any now being developed, until certain which is superior. We propose additional funds for other engine development and for unmanned explorations–explorations which are particularly important for one purpose which this nation will never overlook: the survival of the man who first makes this daring flight. But in a very real sense, it will not be one man going to the moon–if we make this judgment affirmatively, it will be an entire nation. For all of us must work to put him there.’
For some reason fools go bwahaha when Gingrich mentions a mere colony on the moon.

This endorsement will be equivalent to Palin, Cain, Thompson, basically nothing. Romney will take the next six states in Feb.,Newt is not even on the ballot in Missouri. Will anyone remember who Gingrich is after Feb? Lets hope not.The guy is a constant whiner and loser, way too unstable to ever hold the reigns of power. Romney has impeccable character, exactly opposite of Gingrich. What is a lot more significant than Trump’s endorsement, is the fact that those who served with him in the house won’t endorse him and the old guard of the Republican party who was also in congress, both groups have come and basically agree this guy was, off the wall , wouldn’t take advice from anybody, had to be the smartest guy in the room, full of himself. and ego driven.

Unless I missed it, no mention on this blog so far about the cowardly way that Gingrich is going after 16 of the Florida delegates. I guess underhanded Newt tricks don’t meet the threshold for reporting anymore.

Patty:
There is another list growing, namely the one that comprises the high offenses against conservatism by Newt, they now include:
Supporting the Endangered Species Act:
“That is why I worked so diligently as Speaker of the House to protect the Endangered Species Act, historic legislation that has been mired in some controversy. Despite its flaws-and there are some-it is an essential conservation tool.” (excerpt from A Contract with the Earth, by Newt Gingrich, 2007).
His “support” was preventing the House Republicans from enacting reforms that would have protected private property rights and ameliorated the Acts’ greatest flaw: the perverse incentives created by the imposition of land-use restrictions on private land.
This adds to the list of supporting the individual mandate for almost 20 years (as recently as the May 15, 2011 Meet the Press interveiw), supporting TARP, promoting a version of amnesty for illegal aliens, endorsing and promoting man-made global warming initiatives, praising FDR as the greatest president of the 20th century (sorry, Ron, you don’t rank in his book), 2 broken marriages due to his infidelity, calling Paul Ryan’s aggressive reforms “right wing engineering” , etc., with more to come.
bg, I wonder what his conservative rating would have been for the past ten years, given his support of these huge issues?
Whatever can be said for Newt, the title of “torch bearer” is undeserved. Perhaps he could have claimed that in 1995, but not any longer.
Rick Santorum is the conservative non-Romney of the race.
RedBeard commented:
I seriously doubt that the average voter cares one bit about Trump’s opinion. I know I don’t. He’s good at making deals, but on any other subject he’s just a loud, brash gasbag without credentials.
This endorsement isn’t a positive or a negative for Gingrich. Only Trump himself thinks it’s a big deal, because his massive ego won’t let him believe otherwise.
Ausonius commented:
In case some aren’t aware, the two instruments used to stop development of private property (or leasing the vast public properties of the west for say, energy development) are the EPA (typically by naming part of a property a wetland) and through the Endangered Species Act (by stating one resides on the property in question, or-as Texas recently found out-by declaring a species “protected and endangered” that wasn’t before.
Development in this case can mean any change whatsoever, including adding a pond (of any size), clearing trees and brush for even a dirt road (farm access and tree harvesting).
Keeping these programs is counter to traditional Western concepts of private property rights.
pedaling commented:
Well of course he did. Romney wouldn’t come to The Donald sponsored debate.
Ausonius commented:
Bad news if the Newsmax and Drudge are correct: Trump to endorse Mitt, not Newt.
As stated earlier, Trump is the original “bipolar” political mouth.
He has little value in terms of conservatism, and frankly, his opinion shouldn’t affect a conservative. He doesn’t really support conservative ideas, so far as I know.
