Sanitation workers were forced to wear gas masks as they removed the filth from the rat infested #Occupy DC squatters camp today.

From the video: As the Occupy DC encampment at McPherson Square was broken down by police Saturday, here’s how they handled Occupiers’ stuff as they removed it.

One police officer was hit in the face with a brick during camp eviction today.

  1. Those aren’t gas masks. They are biohazard suits.

  2. So how many occupiers are there in a truck of toxic filth ?

  3. Rat infested? Can we include libtards in the total rat count?

  4. I watched the entire video, and there’s not a single gas mask to be found.

To be honest, Jim. You do this type of thing far too often. Stick with the facts.

  5. the final bio-hazrds are the Oblamers.

  6. With those bio-hazard masks on, how are they supposed to smell all that “civility” and “new tone”?

  7. was 0bama there reading from the communist manifesto
and bringing all the occupiers together to pray to his god Karl Marx? *l*

  8. Maybe if the police would return a “brick” of hollow points every time they get hit with a brick, the brick exchanges would cease.

  9. Looks icky from here.

  10. this has got to be a lie, it can’t be true. the OWS people are enviromentalists and very concerned about pollution.

they do remind me of the hippies though, every place they go is worse when they leave then when they got there.

  11. I fail to see any “gas masks” in the clip above.

Then again, the state-controlled police handled the state-encouraged OWS rather nicely.

  12. I meant “politely” instead of “nicely”.

  13. Hullo? Well well!

Black hired laborers are having to clean up the filth left by the idle White Occupiers?

Is that why its so disgusting? That’s how rich kids camp out: mummy and daddy had servants to clean their rooms, change the sheets, scrub the toilets, cook meals? They actually don’t know HOW to take care of themselves? Never learned.

The Tea Party Toucouleurs (Allcolors) didn’t leave ANYTHING to clean up, they did it themselves, being taught at an early age to be self-responsible.

TEA PARTY: “Unlike #OWS, we can’t afford servants, so we do all our own work!!!”

  14. The difference between Tea Party events and the OWS slum villages is painfully obvious. I hope it is painful to the liberal backers of OWS. FAIL

  15. All this time and energy gone into planning, building, maintaining these toxic filth dumps – if only that same energy went into actually trying to find a job……

Can’t help but go back to the post about the Occupier mugshots – swear to God that guy looks like Jack Nicholson.

  16. The headline doesn’t match the video. Only one worker had any kind of respiratory protection and that was a common dust mask. Not sure why he was wearing that since it doesn’t remove odor or even protect against small particles. They were wearing Tyvek suits and gloves, which was a good idea. Tyvek is commonly used because it is generally impervious and disposable. Back in the day, we wore rain suits for contact protection and would now against any serious threat of contact. Tyvek doesn’t have to be cleaned, is lighter and not nearly as hot.

The headline and the description is sort of in the “yellow journalism” category.

The real questions are why were they allowed to create this mess and then stick the public with paying to clean up their mess.

  17. I’m not sure Jim needs to be pilloried for the use of a technically incorrect term for the masks those workers were wearing. The point of the post remains accurate.

#Occupy scumbags are a branch of the DNC, adopted by the words of Dem leaders themselves, so this sort of video needs to be a part of the general election campaign.

Ironic, considering how much old urine was involved.

No one needed any personal sanitation protection cleaning up after the Tea Party, there wasn’t anything requiring “clean up,” isn’t that overall point?

  19. These cities are very very lucky with the fleas and the rats the #OWS didn’t become ground zero for the Plague. As it was, they produced chillingly dangerous concentrations of disease-carrying vermin vectors right in the middle of massive population centers.

This was the RICH disfunctional doing this, not the “poor.”

  20. You better get your own hazmat suit because, when the OWS crowd storms through your neighborhood after the election to exact revenge for casting aside their Marxist Leader in the White House, the mess they leave behind will be post-apocalyptic.

  21. The #Occupy scum know where they can get away with their filthy encampments and uncivilized behavior; in leftist-run cities.

I can state, with little fear of being wrong, that my town would not put up with their illegal activities for one second. But then, my town isn’t run by leftist imbeciles.

Please do remember that no less a mover-and-shaker than George Soros himself stated several days ago that there is no difference between Mitt Romney and Obama . . .

    And your point is what?

Once a Republican is in the White House, the Democrat Propaganda Machine (dba MSM) will move into full-blown crucify-mode. That is a dead certainty.

And it simply will not matter how much Romney acts like a Democrat while in Office nor how much of the Left’s agenda he adopts and implements. Leftists of all stripes, from the Nightly News to the Comedy Circuit, are STILL going to crucify him 24/7 just to keep the hatred for Republicans brewing in all these mind-numbed Leftist minions. (Just ask Bush II).

  24. I don’t see gas masks, but what I do see is surgical masks on 2 men, hazmat tyvek suits on all of the others plus heavy-duty gloves on everyone. I find the gloves to be a more telling thing than any other item. Tyvek suits are relatively cheap and used a lot to keep the civilian clothes from getting dirty, BUT the heavy-duty gloves with rubberized hands tell me there is an issue with drug paraphernalia. Those are resistant to needle sticks.

Which is hysterically funny. Last time I went camping, I cleaned up in a pair of shorts and sandals. The most insidious thing I found was a wrapper to a candy bar. And the amount we packed out? Less than a garbage bag. I’d rather be a ‘hypocritical’ conservative than one of these filthy freaks.

  25. Cant we just shoot these Assh_les! I mean really, set up a couple of 50 cals and level these jacks!

  26. The protestor with the brick was just playing in the park, he thought it was a frisbee.

  27. This video should be accompanied by Harry Belafonte chant,” Tally me Banana’ daylight come and me want go home.

  28. I’m not sure Jim needs to be pilloried for the use of a technically incorrect term for the masks those workers were wearing.

It wasn’t a technically incorrect term. It was wrong. The image conjured up with the words ‘gas masks’ is far different than what is actually shown.

If this was the first time Hoft did this, I’d let it slide. But he does the same type of thing far too often, and it damages ‘our’ credibility.

If he’s going to be a right-leaning blog and supposedly speak for my side of the aisle, he needs to be more accurate. If I wanted a bunch of hyperbolic headlines and stories not matching the facts, I’d be a leftist.

  29. Where are they taking the hazardous materials? A Baltimore delegate has proposed a rat bill to prevent it from coming into the state of Maryland.

    • Delegate Pat McDonough is introducing legislation that will prohibit Washington, D.C. government and, in particular, and any other entity from trafficking rats and other vermin into Maryland.
    • Delegate McDonough’s legislation is known as The Rat Trafficking Act and is similar to legislation proposed in Virginia by Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.
    • All of this protective reaction is a result of a law passed in Washington, D.C. called the Wildlife Protection Act.
    • The Wildlife Protection Act is a victory for animal rights over human health and common sense. Pest control people, government agents, and anyone else are not allowed to kill a Washington, D.C. rat. They are mandated under law to capture the rat and its family for humane unity purposes and relocate the family somewhere else.
    • This insane law obviously places Maryland and Virginia at risk for an invasion of out-of-state rodents. We must protect our borders. The wealthy front-line counties of Montgomery and Prince George’s will be the first to fall.
    • The rats multiply at astronomical rates and the rodents who have crossed the border into Maryland must be made illegal because they can produce large numbers of anchor babies.
    • In reality, this is a serious public health control issue. I have provided a rat facts list containing pertinent information regarding the diseases that these creatures possess.
    • Washington, D.C. has the 7th largest rat population in America. Some experts believe there is one rat for every human being. Apparently, the number of rats in the nation’s capital is very large.
    • Rats are carriers of rabies, Lyme disease, and other transmittable diseases that can effect humans and family pets.
    • The Wildlife Protection Act is not practical, ineffective, and can not be enforced. Therefore, there will be zero control of the rat population with Maryland citizens becoming victims as we become a sanctuary state for insane policies created in Washington, D.C.
    • To illustrate the insanity of this law, here is one portion from Section 3, Part d:

“Wildlife shall be captured, handled, and, when permissible, transported, in a manner to ensure against causing unnecessary discomfort, behavioral stress, or physical harm to the animal, including providing protections against weather extremes.”

This bill will, in essence, prohibit the Wildlife Protection Act from impacting Maryland and will contain penalties for those who violate our law.

In the big scheme of things, don’t you think that the sight of Black menial labor cleaning up indulgent White Democrats’ garbage and nasty messes is a worse “credibility” issue for Leftists and Democrats than simply confounding filter masks with actual gas masks?

  31. The most of the comments above really reinforce the fact that the average IQ is 100. I’m not sure most of the commenters even made that cut. I swear 47% of the country would vote for Sadam Hussein if he was available. God help and keep the United States of America – or – what the hell was I doing in Vietnam in 1969?

  32. Crafty, perhaps if you actually explained your point, we might know how to address it. As it is, your mention of Sadam [sic] Hussein, IQ points, and Vietnam are just pointless gibberish.
