Planned Parenthood Launches Ad Campaign to Defend Obama’s Attack on Catholics (Video)

Last week Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan lashed out at the Obama Administration for forcing religious organizations to go out into the marketplace and buy a product that violates their conscience. The rule would force Christian organizations to provide free contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion drugs to workers even though this violates Catholic Church teaching. The new rules are so strict that most Catholic institutions will not qualify for an exemption.

Even Pope Benedict warned of the “grave threat” to religious freedom in United States before the Obama Administration approved the new rules.
But at least Obama can count on Planned Parenthood.
The abortion group released an ad today defending Obama’s attack on Catholics.
LifeNews reported, via Weasel Zippers:
The Planned Parenthood abortion business is defending President Barack Obama’s decision to put in place a mandate forcing religious employers to pay for insurance coverage for their employees that covers birth control or drugs that may cause abortions.
The Obama Administration issued a statement re-iterating the “contraceptive mandate” requiring all insurance providers cover the full range of FDA-approved drugs and devices would remain intact. This mandate, issued in August, includes drugs that work after conception to destroy life rather than prevent it. The statement included a postponement of one year for religious groups that do not already carry contraceptives and additionally would not be exempted under last year’s narrow definition of “religious employer.”
Although pro-life and faith groups of various stripes strongly oppose the mandate, the Catholic Church and pro-life Catholic groups have taken the lead in opposing it.
Planned Parenthood pressed for the mandate to ensure such coverage under Obamacare and is now launching a national television campaign praising it.

Young women think that birth control pills are 100% effective, the reality is that about 5% of women using birth control pills will get pregnant – and the number of women having sexual relations will go up. Now those 5% of women obviously don’t want to get pregnant, so what are they going to do? Turn to PP for their abortion. Cha-ching!

I think I see a basic flaw in that ad. We’re supposed to take as gospel the opinion of a group that is dedicated to promoting the murder of unborn children. Said murders being, of course, part of PP’s notion of “basic health care.”
If there is a hell, PP will own a significant chunk of the real estate there.

to provide and pay for insurance coverage that includes contraceptives,
abortion-inducing drugs and sterilization procedures. If they do not,
they will face ruinous fines in the millions of dollars. Or they can always
go out of business.
In other words, the Catholic Church was told this week that its institutions can’t be Catholic anymore.
I invite you to imagine the moment we are living in without the church’s
charities, hospitals and schools. And if you know anything about those
organizations, you know it is a fantasy that they can afford millions in
fines.
There was no reason to make this ruling—none. Except ideology.]

Not appalled at Komen’s evidently poor funding choices? I mean, It’s a no-brainer to fund directly the clinics that do the tests than fund PP – a middle man or womyn – to handle the funds, take their admin cuts and send women elsewhere.
Who approved that wasteful arrangement in the first place… or did Planned Parenthood present themelves to Komen as providing those services WHEN THEY DO NOT, and Komen took a while to find out they’d been tricked?
THe Lord isn’t mysterious at all when it comes to exposing frauds and liars.

Added thought to all the excellent commentary here: I have never heard a priest refer to the US Constitution during Mass before. I did this past Sunday. The bishops have allowed oBama to play a political game of chicken with them up to this point in time but the lines have been drawn now. With this blatant violation of our 1st Amendment, this vile administration has clearly demonstrated its utter contempt for both the Constitution and our holy Catholic faith.

Because liberals don’t admit any immorality in abortion, they mandate everyone has to act as if there’s no immorality, or pay huge fines or go out of business. I guess they’re hoping the Catholic institutions (and some others that cannot comply) will shut up and go away. Or that they’ll find out how feeble they are when the liberal propaganda machine rolls over them and silences them that way.

A Faustian bargain is a deal with the devil. Many so called church leaders have backed democrats because of some social justice story, but i only know of one democrat that is pro life and i have some doubts about him. A vote for any democrat is a vote for abortion. It is bad enough that they have joined the devils team but that they are leading others that have put their trust in them as spiritual leaders. These shepherds are leading their flocks on a road to hell. You can fool some of the people all the time and all of the people some of the time but anyone that thinks he is fooling God is only fooling himself.
