It Begins… Obama Administration Arrests Praying Pastor and Priest Outside White House (Video)

It’s an Obama world…
Six Christians were arrested outside the White House this week including a priest and a pastor while praying.

American Freedom
posted video:

World Net Daily reported on the arrests:

Six people peacefully protested the Obama administration’s mandate requiring employers to provide contraceptives, sterilization, and abortion-producing drugs by kneeling in prayer in front of the White House, and they quickly were arrested and whisked away by U.S. Park police.

“Occupy Wall Street protesters have been occupying federal property for months, but when we kneel in prayer, the police are called in and we are arrested,” said Father Wilde, one of the protesters.

The six people, including Wilde, of Priests for Life, and Rev. Pat Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, organized the peaceful protest on the heels of a Priests for Life lawsuit filed against the Obama administration seeking to permanently block the implementation of the HHS mandate.

Wilde and the other protesters were cited for “failure to obey a lawful order” as they knelt in prayer in front of the White House. Each paid a $100 fine and was released from custody.

Wilde said. “We knew that was the risk when we gathered today, and we will do it again regardless of the risk. What people of faith – of every faith – need to do now is stand with us.”

I’VE HAD ENOUGH! In this Holy War on Religion, of Religion, and by Religion, I SURRENDER! I’m a lover, not a fighter.  Instead… I’m gonna start my OWN religion, and get in on the good stuff: tax exemptions, and lots of taxpayer money to do what I want, in the name of religious liberty. Most definitely! Hey NEWT -wanna join? We’re gonna have open marriages and multiple wives and all SORTS of neat stuff that you’re just gonna love! But don’t you worry your little head Newt : we’ll have no , I repeat, NO nasty stoning of adulterers. None of that stuff. I Promise! As for SANTORUM, he just LOVES to tell other people how to live. He’ll make us a REAL fine preacher-man. In fact, we’ll make him Saint Santorum. AND fix his Google search results! As for Mr. Obama,  obviously, we’ll need to (severely) demonize him, even further. And his dog Toto too. Last but not least: MITT and RON. Hmmm. Hey, just for you two guys: we’ll insist on NO TAXES AT ALL for church members…AND human sacrifice of illegal aliens. Out with their hearts! Televised! Live! Whoooppee! WHAT A COUNTRY!  🙂
By the way, please don’t mention the REASON that Mitt Romney’s dad was born in Mexico (i.e. The fact that Mitt’s Mormon grand-dad left the United States in the 1880’s. He went to Mexico BECAUSE laws against polygamy were passed in the U.S. ; Being a Mormon back then, Mitt’s grand-dad wanted to keep his multiple wives. Hey, who wouldn’t?) Bottom line: if we follow the “logic” of the people crying crocodile tears about a non-existent “war on religion”, then the U.S. should have allowed polygamy (and who knows what else) just because a particular religion claimed it as their cherished belief. GIVE ME A BREAK!
Absolutely NO ONE is coming into our Churches or places of worship and trying to tell parishioners what to believe…..or forcing them to use contraception. BUT If the Bishops (and other denominations) want to continue running businesses that employ millions of people of varying faiths -or no “faith” at all- THEN they must play by the same rules and rights that other workers have and enjoy…especially if their businesses use our tax dollars (and skip paying taxes) in the process. This is not a “war on religion”. It’s a war on women and men who simply want to plan their families and control their future. Now that’s REAL religious liberty!

Let’s see if anyone cares. I doubt it. People get themselves arrested for protesting outside the White House all the time, whether it is these folks or a gay military officer chained to the gates, or anti-nuclear protesters…the list goes on. We’ll see if this has traction, but all indications are that it doesn’t. People may quote scripture in public, but most want the pill to remain cheap and widely availalbe.

  • MercyTex

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; I guess that is a severe threat to the occasional occupants of the White House. In between campaign appearances and extravagant vacations, the elected leader of the free world panics with the presence of 6 people praying.

Ya, my 16-year-old son has about the same ideas that you do. That’s ok, I’ll use it as a teaching moment.

Our Constitution is an agreement among men as to how they are going to work together. On aspect of this agreement is that “Congress shall make NO LAW …. respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

The grownups understand that they are being offered about $700/year to throw away their religious freedom, and that this is only an opening gambit. This is very much along the lines of selling your birthright for a bowl of stew, and if you don’t care about your birthright, we do.

    Well, robe-tearing wailing dude.

At this moment YOUR tax dollars don’t PAY for anything of the sort, because we have PRIVATE insurance, BUT the OBAMACARE is FORCING to change all that FREEDOM to buy whatever insurance YOU wanted, NO TAX DOLLARS involved to a TAX-BASE medical payment system. WHy oh why? Our private system worked great, no one had to pay for something they didn’t agre with.

SO, how come you aren’t fighting tooth and nail AGAINST Obamacare which will make it TAX DOLLARS if you don’t want anyone to tell you how to live?

OH, so so equivalent, not chaining oneself to property and chaining. No difference.

The pill is already cheap and already available without any Obama help.

Only Democrats think it’s more important than national defense and clean water. How come you HATE children so much? Hate is the only word. Abortion kills them, contraception never lets them begin. To Democrats children are the worst punishment on the planet. Worse than polio or malaria – yeah – look at the funding to eliminate those versus funding to population control – worse than wars and earthquakes, because all the natural disasters Democrats ultimately blame on too many children. A culture of child-hating.

This is evil and depravity and selfishness beyond words. Hating children.

Someone once said, to ban someone with a conscience from medicine is crazy – that’s the one person you’d want to have one. I agree. This administration is an abomination. If some Catholic nutcase does something extremely stupid, there will be no holding back on the persecution that will follow – since having a conscience is not valued.

Muslims galore outside the Whitehouse praying is fine though.

#1 – Don’t you have a problem with the arrest of people practicing their Constitutional right to practice their religion? No one is stopping people from getting contraception, but it is a different story to force a religion to financially provide contraception when they believe it goes against their beliefs. From what I understand, contraception is not a right to be provided on any organization’s or their health care provider’s dime.

  • Joanne

If people can’t even bother to have sex using a condom to prevent the spread of HIV and veneral diseases, what makes people think women are going to bother taking the pill just because it is free.

  • Joanne

Okay, Roman Catholic Churches are being forced to provide contraception or have their health care provider’s provide contraception free, but what about mosques? Are mosques being forced to provide contraception??????? I haven’t heard anything about that.

    not the first time..

    September 1, 2009

[“Since assuming office in January, President Obama has not only regularly passed up opportunities to affirm and celebrate America’s Judeo Christian heritage, but at times, he’s appeared to go out of his way to suggest the opposite is true,” said Shirley Dobson, chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force.

“In light of these recent events, the president’s decision to carry on the tradition of hosting a White House dinner to celebrate the Muslim holy season of Ramadan is curious. Our disappointment, however, is not with the President’s decision to host such a celebration. Quite the contrary. It’s simply unfortunate that he didn’t choose to extend the same level of courtesy and recognition this past May to the millions of supporters and organizers of the National Day of Prayer.”

The Rev. Johnny Hunter, an African-American pro-life leader who was arrested on the National Day of Prayer while praying outside the White House, said that by hosting the Ramadan observance President Obama “is distinctly placing Islam above Christianity.

“He’s stated before the entire world that we’re not a Christian nation,”added the founder of L.E.A.R.N. Inc. “By him turning his back on Christians on a day when we’re to pray to God, then turn around and make such a flamboyant move toward Islam, it tells me that it’s not America that’s not Christian, it’s the president that’s not Christian.”]

Those of you who are Christians, you knew this day was coming. It is, and has always been, a battle between good and evil. This is just the beginning, not just for us, but for all Americans, because every single American is going to have to make a choice in the very near future. The first step in realizing where we really are as a nation lies in the acknowledgment that there is indeed good and evil.

Behind the smokescreen of the contraception mandate lies another, far more totaliarian agenda than we can possibly know or believe.

Pray. Stand tall. Pick which side of the line you are on and stay there.

While I’m sympathetic to their cause, I’d much rather they spend their time and energy organizing voter opposition than get arrested at the White House fence. Anyone can do that, and it’s not just Catholic priests who will end up behind bars for security issues regarding the White House.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that the Obama regime is hostile to anything Christians believe. Evil cannot abide by anything of and by God, so, to me, this is more indication of the evil nature of our president and the good nature of the Catholic faith.

    flashback:

50,000 Muslims to Pray on Capitol Hill: Guess Who’s Not Happy?

[But perhaps the most intriguing objections to this unprecedented
event have come from within the American Muslim community itself.

“The truth may not be welcome, but remains truth: thousands of Muslims lining up for silent prayer in unison, within sight of the center of American government, is going to be misconstrued as an intimidation rather than an outreach, and not just to the rabid Islamophobic fringe,” wrote Aziz Poonawalla, a Muslim blogger at Beliefnet, in a post last Friday. “It really doesn’t help that the official slogan for the event plastered all over the Web site is ‘Our time has come.’ Or that when you load the official homepage, you are blasted with audio of a thickly accented Islamic prayer.”

    [..]

]In his post at Beliefnet, Aziz Poonawalla raised concerns that the event is the brainchild of a few mosques in New Jersey, most notably Dar-ul-Islam, and that there was not enough vetting of speakers and organizers.

That concern may already be coming back to haunt organizers: opponents are noting that Abdellah, an attorney, represented Arab Muslims charged in the first World Trade Center attack in 1993 and was described by the New York Times as the “most aggressively combative of the lawyers” representing the defendants, who were eventually convicted.

In 2004 Abdellah also represented Numan Maflahi, a New Jersey Muslim tied to al-Qaeda fundraising. After Maflahi’s conviction he told Judge Nina Gershon of Federal District Court in Brooklyn that the sentence she doled out would be a test of whether “this country could be fair to Arab-Americans.”]

Sounds like you haven’t read the news lately. The war on religion – specifically Christianity is beyond doubt. Open your eyes and notice that vices have become virtues and virtues have become vices. The world – esp ‘the enlightened west’- is crumbling. The culture of today wants to destroy the heritage that established hospitals, universities, authentic science, and the unquenchable thirst for the Truth. The whole concept of equality emanates from faith in a higher power and all its subjects are equal. It’s our arrogance and egoism that drives the culture that destroys and does not create. What has secularism wrought? I’ll answer for you – our own destruction. But despite that, there is hope – but not in this life but in the one to come, if found worthy.

Try visiting Cuba, Venezuela, or some other “utopia” very soon to get a clue about what will happen in this country after the November election. • Where the Liberals and progressives win is by being able to start arguments where they want to start them, and thus putting the other side on the defensive. For example: 1. the ability for women to access contraceptives is a “right”. It is not. 2. That if your insurance company or employer doesn’t provide it for free, you are denied access to the product completely, as though women were quadriplegics and unable to drive to a pharmacy or buy it online. Again, false. 3. That somehow the government is the source of all things proper and legal. We are arguing that the government is right in demanding it, when the real argument is why is the government involved at all!

As long as we fight their fight on their territory, we’ll be swinging wildly. The real moment of truth will come when enough citizens rise up and say “No more” all at one time. Then the government, as the French royalty learning the hard way, will realize it isn’t big enough to tell us to do anything.

    That is when we’ll win.

    read the book.

Its not about contraceptive or birth control pills or a woman’s health it is about the free exercise of religion but what the white house doesn’t realize that a true believer cannot go against what is in the Bible because it is the word of God. Many brands of BC Pill are sold for $9 at Walmart, Target, and Walgreens. One particular prescription can be had for $4 at Target. In the 70’s minimum wage was $1.60, compared to $7.25 now. You do the math. The price of the “Pill” is about 1/3 of what it was in the 70’s if you allow for inflation.

We aren’t talking about helping out the poor. These are women who have jobs that pay their health insurance. There is no reason why they should stick the cost of elective medications on anyone. The real issue here isn’t Christian Churches being forced to pay for something that they don’t feel is moral. The real issue is the government has taken over our health care, and with it our health care choices. A panel of bureaucrats will decide what kind of care you get, based on whatever their values are.

You can spin it all you want, but this fight is over a lot more than a $9 package of pills.

I don’t see this as a winning election issue for Obama. Arresting men of God is not going to give you a plurality of Catholic Votes. The new White House talking points about this being an issue of Birth Control rather than religious values makes no sense at all. Wilde said. “We knew that was the risk when we gathered today, and we will do it again regardless of the risk. What people of faith – of every faith – need to do now is stand with us.”

    Absolutely, and tent up!

The War Is On: Obama’s Gestapo Arrest Catholic Priest For Praying Outside White House

Father Wilde was representing Priests for Life at an organized protest of the HHS contraception mandate that violates the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of religion. Priests for Life yesterday filed a lawsuit against the Obama Administration that seeks to permanently block the implementation of the mandate because it imposes clear violations of conscience upon any American citizens who morally object to abortion and contraception.

Father Wilde and the other protesters, including the Rev. Pat Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, were cited for “Failure to obey a lawful order” as they knelt in prayer in front of the White House. They each paid a $100 fine and were released from custody.

“Occupy Wall Street protesters have been occupying federal property for months, but when we kneel in prayer, the police are called in and we are arrested,” Father Wilde said. “We knew that was the risk when we gathered today, and we will do it again regardless of the risk. What people of faith – of every faith – need to do now is stand with us.”

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said the New York-based organization remains committed to battling the HHS mandate because it forces Americans to become morally entangled in practices they find objectionable.

“As an organization of Catholic clergy, as a corporation that employs 60 people of various religious backgrounds, and as a ministry whose very purpose is to protect and promote the pro-life teaching about the specific practices at issue in the HHS mandate, we are particularly well-positioned to fight against this intrusion of conscience,” Father Pavone said.

They won’t be standing Alone: L. Brent Bozell III, Chairman, For America

The Obama administration’s mandate that Catholics provide contraceptive, sterilization and abortifacient services is the greatest assault on religious freedom in the history of the Republic. Never before has this nation ever witnessed the federal government so ruthless in its over-reach of power, and so dismissive of the Constitution. This is an issue that affects every Catholic and non-Catholic, should it be another Christian, a Jew, even a non-believer. To allow this “rule,” as this administration so arrogantly calls it, to stand is to surrender our most basic freedom, the freedom of conscience. We cannot.

    Rush Limbaugh

Obama demanded that Catholic organizations provide birth control and other abortion-related services. That’s unconstitutional. He cannot do it. There is an appropriate uproar. The regime says, “Okay, we’ll walk it back and then we’ll make the insurance companies do it.” He’s still getting everything he wants! He’s getting mandated federal funding of abortion services — and, in the process, trampling all over the Constitution. The right to religious liberty in this context is unequivocal in our country. It’s in the Constitution! Since when does a a president have the power to threaten to issue a rule gutting religious liberty and then claim the power to make compromises on that issue? That is how, folks, we lose our liberty. This is how we lose the Constitution.

Edwin Meese III, Former Attorney General of the United States

The recent attack on religious liberty by the Obama administration is typical of, and follows, numerous other assaults on the Constitution. The Founders’ concept of checks and balances (such as separation of powers, federalism, Senate confirmation of executive appointees, etc.), designed to protect the liberty and political rights of the people, have been either ignored or deliberately violated.

This is an example of one of the greatest attempts at the shredding of the Constitution in our history. Other presidents have complained about being frustrated by the Constitution in their compulsive desire to wield more power, but in the end they at least complied–for the most part– with the mandates of that document. This president goes ahead either by defiance or subterfuge (i.e., the hoax about addressing the current religious liberty concerns about life and morality) to placate his extreme leftist political base.

The members of Congress have a duty, and all citizens and patriotic groups have an obligation, to do everything in their power to stop this assault on the Constitution. Unless we do so, we will have allowed the destruction of the basic tenet of our democratic republic: a government that acts only with the consent of the governed.

Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), Chairman Republican Study Committee

This ObamaCare rule still tramples on Americans’ First Amendment right to freedom of religion. It’s a fig leaf, not a compromise. Whether they are affiliated with a church or not, employers will still be forced to pay an insurance company for coverage that includes abortion-inducing drugs.

This is not just a problem for church-affiliated hospitals and charities. Under these rules, a small business owner with religious objections to abortion-inducing drugs and contraception must either violate his religious beliefs or violate the law.

The liberal Obama administration thinks its political goals trump the religious faith of American citizens. That isn’t right, fair, or constitutional.

Bill Bennett, Former Reagan Administration Education Secretary, Nationally Syndicated Radio Talk Show Host

Religious liberty and freedom of conscience are at the mercy of government run health care and the power of big feminism. ObamaCare must be repealed and this ruling overturned.

Mark R. Levin, New York Times Bestselling Author, Nationally Syndicated Radio Talk Show Host

It is neither noble nor virtuous to dismiss or downplay the peril our country faces. Barack Obama is an imperial president exercising unconstitutional power. The nation is in the midst of a constitutional crisis. Now is the time for all freedom-loving Americans to be heard.

    Mark Meckler

All people of good conscience should resist the President’s assault on religious freedom. This is one of many in a long line of assaults on the Constitution. It is indeed blatant, and is an attack on religious liberty, which is fundamental to the American ideal. I hope and pray that the resistance to this attack on the Constitution and the sovereignty of the citizen will awaken a broader understanding that the very foundations of the country are being undermined by this Administration, and many who have come before.

Jenny Beth Martin, Tea Party Patriots, Co-Founder & National Coordinator

The Obama administration’s mandate that Catholics and other faith-based institutions provide contraceptive, sterilization and abortifacient services under ObamaCare is perhaps the boldest assault on the U.S. Constitution by any President in history. However, it should not come as a surprise to anyone that has followed the development of ObamaCare from its inception.

When the President made the unconstitutional claim that the federal government has the authority and power to regulate economic inactivity, thus making ObamaCare possible, we should have seen this coming. The most terrifying element of this rule is that it is just the beginning of the government’s rule-making process and other violations of constitutional rights are certain to follow.

Tea Party Patriots is proud to have been an early and ardent opposition to ObamaCare. It is without question the one policy that unites our membership more than any other. While our membership has consistently called for reasonable reforms to the nation’s healthcare policies, we have consistently opposed ObamaCare and every element that interferes with the doctor-patient relationship and forces individuals to relinquish their constitutional rights of faith and conscience.

Tea Party Patriots believes that this rule is unconstitutional and, we call for the administration to immediately repeal it. We also believe that this rule is evidence for the Supreme Court to consider when ruling on ObamaCare this spring and summer. The unconstitutional foundation of ObamaCare is only the beginning of our nightmare, and it must be found unconstitutional in its entirety.

Tea Party Patriots is proud to stand solidly in opposition to the Obama administration on this reckless and treasonous violation of individual human and constitutional rights.

Michael P. Warsaw, President, EWTN Global Catholic Network

EWTN is an organization that takes our Catholic identity very seriously. It is core to our mission and core to our values as an employer. Friday’s announcement by the President that his administration had made accommodations for religious groups in its HHS contraceptive mandate has changed nothing for EWTN, many other religious employers, or for the countless individual business owners and people of faith who share our outrage at being forced to pay for services which we find immoral. The administration’s attempt at a so-called compromise is too little and too late. As a Catholic organization, we find these “accommodations” unacceptable. We cannot and will not compromise our beliefs or our organization’s mission.

On Thursday, February 9, 2012, before the President’s announcement, EWTN filed a lawsuit asking the federal courts to intervene and to declare the HHS contraceptive mandate unconstitutional. We intend to continue to press forward with that cause of action.

Ken Blackwell, former U.S. Ambassador, UN Human Rights Commission

Religious liberty is the most important of our human rights. Without religious freedom, people exist only as political or economic entities, not as free human beings. Religious liberty is the first of all human rights, for it implies the dignity and sarcredness of human conscience. One’s faith is one’s most profound level of personhood. We must fight with all we have to defeat this attack on the foundation of American Exceptionalism.

Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., President, Center for Security Policy

Barack Obama’s serial breaches of his oath of office — to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States — need to be resisted with at least as much determination and tenacity as he brings to his wrecking operation. Every American has a stake in this fight. If the liberties you hold most dear have not been savaged yet, just wait. They will inevitably — unless, that is, the Congress rejects the President’s anti-constitutional misconduct and the voters hold him accountable for it next November.

President Obama is using the full power of the federal government to force religious institutions to violate deeply rooted principles of morality. With this unconscionable and unjust mandate, President Obama acts as an authoritarian who ignores the Constitution in pursuit of a radical agenda.

Every Christian who is not working (thanks to Obama there are many) in the Washington DC area should be gathered Monday in front of the White House on their knees.
By the way, how is prayer considered a security issue. Obama may fear that God will strike hjm dead but people praying pose no danger. I would like to see them arrest several thousands of people on their knees praying for this Nation.

I sent money to support the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice), founded by Pat Robertson, and in return I receive a newsletter. I was so stunned by this month’s featured legal case I just had to send it to you.

YOU COULD BE ARRESTED for praying in our nation’s Capital! Each year groups from all over the country come to Washington, D.C. to tour the United States Capitol Building. Recently, Pastor Pierre Bynum from Waldorf, Maryland led a small group of Christians on a self-guided tour of the Capitol Building. Pastor Bynum’s group was one of many self-guided tours at the Capitol that particular day. These Christians accompanied Pastor Bynum in order to see the famous sites, study memorable events in the history of our country, view the many historical monuments, and pray.

When the tour group entered the Capitol rotunda they saw one of the most famous paintings in the world, titled The Baptism of Pocahontas, prominently displayed in the Rotunda along with many other artifacts of Christian significance.

As the tour group proceeded through Statuary Hall, where monuments of influential Americans line the walls, they would occasionally stop, discuss the significance of the particular statue they were viewing, and quietly pray. They prayed for our country and for our country’s leaders.

It was this quiet prayer which resulted in actual threats of arrest from the United States Park Police. Within the Capitol Building is a chapel with a beautiful stained glass picture of General George Washington kneeling in prayer at Valley Forge. Ironically, President Washington’s actions at Valley Forge are now deemed illegal in our nation’s Capitol.

    Here’s what happened:

    Outrageous Violation of Religious Freedom

A Park Police officer, who had observed them praying, went to his supervisor and reported that a group of people was involved in an illegal prayer demonstration in the Capitol Building.

As Pastor Bynum’s group toured the Capitol they were approached by the U.S. Park Police who notified Pastor Bynum that his tour group was involved in an illegal demonstration. Immediately, the U.S. Park Police told Pastor Bynum that if his group continued to pray, they would be arrested and removed from the building.

Please understand that the only thing Pastor Bynum and his tour group were doing was quietly praying. No one complained about the tour group nor did anyone seem to be bothered by it.

What makes the case even more interesting is that all other private groups that wish to tour the open areas of the Capitol are free to do so without the content of their speech being regulated. In fact, if any private tour group leader spoke negatively about the United States and our democratic principles, their speech would be constitutionally protected. In our case, the prayers of concerned Christian citizens are criminalized. We will not allow this injustice to occur.

When I first heard of these outrageous actions on the part of the federal authorities, I immediately authorized Jim Henderson in our Washington, D. C. office to send a letter outlining the law and demanding that the threats of arrest stop. Frankly, I thought that the officers who threatened arrest were simply overreacting and did not understand the nature of the law.

This case became even more serious when the Office of General Counsel for the Capitol stated that they were sticking by their policies and that prayer would be deemed an illegal form of demonstration. Since the U. S. Park Police refused to change their policy and were continuing to threaten the arrest of anyone who prayed on the Capitol property, we had no choice but to file a federal lawsuit. Jim and our staff in Washington, D.C. spent many hours preparing what is perhaps one of our most important free speech cases of the year. Christians must be able to visit our nation’s Capitol and pray for our country and its leaders without the threat of arrest.

Maybe the Park police might want to look at some of the National Monuments around the Nation before they get their panties all in an knot.

One might want to look at recent controversies surrounding the WWII Monument and Roosevelt Speech , Martin Luther King, and other monuments lacking the reference to God in speech’s made by these men and others. Some of these incidents predate Obama but all evolve people in power thru out DC. There is indeed an attempt to erase God from the American conscious.

  • We pray for our leaders daily as we are exhorted to in the Bible. If we do it on the sidewalk in front of our president and are arrested, we still will not relent. Let us put two in place for every one arrested. Satan cannot stop an army that advances on its knees.

In the absence of proof to the contrary, the possibility that abortion is murder, must be conceded, even by the proponents of abortion.
Clearly, if abortion is murder, as many people believe, then providing any form of assistance to a woman seeking to abort a baby is to render oneself to be an accessory to murder. This is true, whether the assistance is given directly or indirectly, via intermediaries, such as providers of health insurance.
Contraceptives and abortificient drugs are already freely available to any woman who wishes them.
The Obama administration has sought to imply that without the mandate upon employers to provide contraceptives and abortificient drugs to their employees, via health insurance, somehow, they are depriving their employees of access to such services.
Refusing to pay for or assist women to abort babies is not in any way denying them their alleged right to do so, it is merely refusal to be complicit in an activity which violates one’s conscience.
Because of the already existing availability of free contraceptives and abortificient drugs, one must consider precisely why the Obama administration seeks to over-ride the conscience of those who consider that contraceptives are morally wrong and those who consider abortion to be murder.
Contraceptives and abortion inducing drugs, already freely available, could easily be supplied to women desiring them, in a manner which did not violate the constitutional rights of other citizens, as they already are, if the Obama administration had chosen to do so.
Instead, the Obama administration has deliberately chosen to provide contraceptives and abortion inducing drugs to women, in such a manner as to violate the constitutionally protected rights of all American citizens.
This suggests that the principal objective of the Obama administration is not the provision of contraceptives, abortificient drugs and sterilization for women desirous of such services, but to nullify the first amendment to the constitution.
The violation of the conscience of American citizens, despite their supposed protection by the first amendment, is not an accidental consequence of a policy which furthers a “greater public good”.
The violation of the first amendment to the constitution is the objective, with the provision of contraceptives and abortificients to women, who already have access to such services, as nothing more than a means of generating popular support for this particular violation.
If the Obama administration is able to successfully abolish the first amendment to the constitution, as appears to be its deliberate intent, then henceforth, the sole conscience of relevance within the United States of America will be that of whoever happens to become president.
American citizens shall solely have the right to obey the conscience of their president.
The freedom of American citizens shall be the freedom to obey the orders of their president.
In this context, it is perhaps pertinent to recall that while still a state senator, now president Obama voted against a bill intended to protect live born infants who had survived an abortion attempt, effectively voting in favor of infanticide, the murder of infants.
Many women claim to believe that the right to abort their baby constitutes the right to “own their own body”.
Even these women should consider how much “ownership of their own body” they may have, if the evolving totalitarian state decides to make abortion compulsory, whenever the government disapproves of the pregnancy, which is not inconceivable, once the constitution has been invalidated.
Where there are no constitutional protections of individual rights, a woman’s “ownership of her own body” may be deemed to be subordinate to the “greater good”, as defined by the government and subject to “eminent domain”, just as private property is currently subject to expropriation by government, “for the greater good”. Forcible abortion and forcible sterilization of women deemed unsuitable for motherhood by the government may eventually be considered to be essential for some “socially desirable objective”. There are already historical precedents for this, even in the USA.
Strict birth-control and population reduction is a significant component of the agenda of radical environmentalists. There are many prominent and influential environmentalists, within the Obama administration, who advocate compulsory abortion and sterilization, as part of their population reduction policy. Enthusiasm for eugenics is strong among totalitarians.
Even those who have no doctrinal aversion to abortion should consider that the assumed constitutional or legislated right of the Obama administration to issue an edict mandating that private individuals must provide goods and services to the public, for free, may eventually be extended to the provision of other goods and services, supplied by other individuals and organizations.
“Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer.”

The Constitution Was written by men of Christian faith. Who believed that thatt only thru faith in God wold this country survive.
The war on religious freedom was started by our own government and it can’t stand. If we allow Obama to trash the first ammendment then what is to keep him from destroying all of the other Ameendmaent and the Constitution as well.
Patty makes an interesting observation about praying in the Whitehouse. Would the Capitol police arrest Muslems if they held prayer inside as well?

Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

The priests could have prayed in a closet and God would have heard them. However, the priests were out on the street so that people could see them. Obviously, the people that saw them didn’t care though so next time maybe they should just concentrate on what God thinks rather than what the Muslim Brotherhood in the oval office thinks. Who cares what Obama thinks about anything anyways?! Maybe Obama paid those so called priests to pray so that he could make a spectacle out of them.

As an eighty three year old woman, I’m sure I remember many things the younger people either don’t remember or never heard of. Our Country today is a copy of Natzi Germany during World War two. Total government control, total birth control, death to the elderly when they are no longer of any use, confiscation of all property, etc. We must not let Obama continue. I can’t imagine why he wasn’t impeached long ago. It has to be pay offs, his controlled associates or our turtle paced judicial system. I am really surprised that someone hasn’t done him in long ago. They managed to get to John and Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King. I don’t worry for me as my race is nearly over. I just cry for the younger generation. No hope.
