Thugs and abortionists win!
Komen will fund Planned Parenthood

After days and pressure and threats from the left the Susan G. Komen Foundation announced that they will once again fund the Planned Parenthood abortion organization. Yahoo reported:
The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation apologized for cutting off funding from Planned Parenthood and vowed to revise its policy that led to that decision amid intense backlash against the nation’s largest breast cancer organization. “We want to apologize to the American public for recent decisions that cast doubt upon our commitment to our mission of saving women’s lives,” president and founder Nancy Brinker said in a statement today.
“We have been distressed at the presumption that the changes made to our funding criteria were done for political reasons or to specifically penalize Planned Parenthood. They were not.”
“Our original desire was to fulfill our fiduciary duty to our donors by not funding grant applications made by organizations under investigation,” she added.
“We will amend the criteria to make clear that disqualifying investigations must be criminal and conclusive in nature and not political. That is what is right and fair.” Planned Parenthood’s president, Cecile Richards, praised the move.
“In recent weeks, the treasured relationship between the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and Planned Parenthood has been challenged, and we are now heartened that we can continue to work in partnership toward our shared commitment to breast health for the most underserved women,” Richards said in a statement.
“We are enormously grateful that the Komen Foundation has clarified its grantmaking criteria, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Komen partners, leaders and volunteers.”
It’s time for another women’s group that values women’s health and life to rise up and compete against Komen.
Enough is enough.

I have wonder why, Boxer, Pelosi, Obama and God only knows who got to Komen. We leave in a world where I thought things were predictable and there was great and intelligence in organizations. Never thought that these places could give in to the left until the past recent 3 years. Seriously, I never thought that our America was so swayed and could turn so rebellious against our Creator. They have slapped the face of those with morals.

Such an irony! More and more scientific studies are showing the link between abortions and later presentation of breast cancer, and yet, Komen continues to fund the very thing that brings women to their facilities for diagnoses of cancer!
None of their facilities for me, my family or friends, we are done with their torturous logic; they can still fund PP because the investigation into their activities is “political.” BS!

S. Wolf commented:
Komen is obviously not in the business of curing breast cancer.
‘Most women in the United States are unaware that having an abortion increases the risk of developing breast cancer. The fact that abortion causes breast cancer has been nearly completely suppressed by the media because it is a politically incorrect issue. More than 30 studies have confirmed a relationship between having an abortion and the subsequent development of breast cancer. Since 1960 there has been a surge in the number of women developing breast cancer in the USA. Currently every woman in this nation has between a 10 and 12% chance of developing breast cancer.
Dr. Joel Brind, Professor of Biology and Endocrinology at Baruch College of the City College of New York has been crusading to get the information that abortion is a major factor in the causation of breast cancer to the public. Not one magazine or newspaper was willing to print his findings. His research was finally reported in Lancet, a fine English medical journal.
When you enter a Planned Parenthood Clinic to have an abortion do they tell you that this procedure increases your chance of breast cancer by 50%? If a woman has an abortion at anytime, her chance of developing breast cancer goes up by at least 50%.
In November 1994, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) study done at Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Wash. showed a clear link between having an abortion and the subsequent development of breast cancer. This NCI research disclosed that if the abortion was performed before age 18, the risk was increased by 150 %. If the woman was over 30 and had a family history of mother, sister, grandmother, or aunt with breast cancer the risk went up by 270%. The most ominous finding was that every woman who had an abortion before age 18 and had a family history of breast cancer developed breast cancer by the age of 45. There were only 12 women in this study who fit this category, but they all developed breast cancer. (Source: November 1994 National Cancer Institute report of a study performed at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, Washington).’…

Pretty ingenius way to get a money bomb from pro-lifers! Komen is all about MONEY MONEY MONEY and keeping their STAFF in plush jobs with six figure incomes. I would love to know what advances in womens cancer treatment have been accomplished 2 billion dollars and 30 years later. Or is it more profitable to continue the booming business of everything”pink”? Think how much money is made in the merchandising of all of the “pink”! I refuse to contribute to ANY charity other than Salvation Army, the only charity I know that donates 90% to the actual persons in need.
dunce commented:
There are pregnancy counseling centers that do not provide abortions and do not get any money from the govt. and are thus in great need of financial support. the foundation could have redirected their grant to these people that are dedicated to finding adoptive parents or helping the mothers through their pregnancy. breast exams is not what planned murder supplies. It is utter nonsense thatif women can not go to them then they can not get a breast exam . I would bet that PP has never referred a breast cancer case for treatment.
PB-in-AL commented:
I think it ironic that the left says that an organization like Koman can give money to whomever they wish, until, of course, the “whomever” they cease funding is a lefty pet project. Then it becomes McCarthyism and misogyny… “think about the poor women who won’t be able to …..”
Koman gave two completely valid and understandable reasons why they were ceasing the grants to planned parenthood: 1) the investigation issue, as specified above; 2) they want to more directly fund the preventative measures. In other words, PP was given money as “pass-through” grants. PP would refer women to clinics or doctors where they could get mammograms; the Koman money was funneled through PP ostensibly to these actual service providers.
So basically, Koman was trying to make the money actually count more at the point of the service provided, i.e. paying for a mammogram, rather than allowing it to “pass through” PP for a little skimming off the top, that seems to inevitably happen in these instances (I would suppose). I’d love to see an accounting, a REAL accounting, of how much grant money PP got for mammograms and how much was used for “administrative purposes” as opposed to paying for the actual test. I’d bet dollars to donuts that there would be a significant “administrative” slice of that pie chart.

Sasja commented:
I call into question their decision to use PP as a vehicle to provide cancer screening in the first place. I admit I am not that familiar with Nancy Brinker and her stance on abortion. Seems to me a true pro-lifer would never have entered into a relationship with any abortion advocacy group.
And after all this time, why are they now just looking to directly fund clinics that provide mammograms? At least that was one reason given for dropping funding to PP.
Kelly commented:
I’m happy the Foundation has chosen to do “what is right and fair” by revising it’s policy today, but I’m unlikely to be a supporter of that charity again. This issue was the cherry-on-top after the Komen Foundation wasted hundreds of thousands of donor dollars suing other cancer charities for using “cure” and “for the cure” in their fundraising/marketing efforts. I think the Komen Foundation needs some downsizing if it’s financial base is large enough for it to be subjected to political pressures resulting in funding policies that compromise their stated mission of saving women’s lives. Additionally, in response to all the pro-life angst out there, I think being pro-life shouldn’t begin at conception and end at birth. The born need pro-life advocacy as well, and when the basic needs of all born persons are met from birth on, perhaps we’ll have a world in which women won’t see abortion as a necessary evil.

When my wife contracted breast cancer, she was still teaching school, and they had a policy through AFLAC that paid supplemental benefits directly to her to help defray costs not covered by insurance. Not trying to sell insurance, but something like that might be an option…at least until Ob-Romney-Care drives them out of business.
My wife was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer and given six months or less to live. We chose to get a second opinion — from God. We had prayer warriors all over the world praying for her, and during surgery, the cancer miraculously transformed into a treatable form. The story was so amazing that the local newspaper sent a reporter and photographer to interview her. The photo they published is pretty unflattering, but here is a link to a copy I keep posted on my website to remind me that it did happen and wasn’t just a dream with a happy ending. She has been cancer free ever since, and she has been very active with counseling breast cancer patients and with the “Race for the Cure”. Looks like she may want to rethink her participation in Komen Foundation events from now on.

It’s basically a formal endorsement to entice others to donate, and it works in fund raising for businesses, charities, and politicians all the time.

Yes, there is a definite dichotomy, the dichotomy between life and death.
‘MIRACLE baby Oliver Morgan was brought back from the dead — after being born with no blood in his body.
A rare condition drained his tiny frame of virtually every drop while in the womb.
When he was delivered he looked pale and stillborn — and doctors were unable to find a heartbeat for an astonishing 25 MINUTES.
Oliver almost bled to death after a rare condition called Vasa Previa formed an extra vein in his mum’s womb.
It burst — and Katy woke up covered in blood 37½ weeks into her pregnancy.’
The baby born with no blood
On the one hand conscientious doctors save the lives of babies and on the other the conscienceless butchers of PP take lives by the millions. The abortion industry is a slaughterhouse for unborn humanity literally with bloody floors and tiny body parts stuffed in casks.

BREAST CANCER
The National Abortion Federation (NAF) has a page on their website titled “Abortion and Breast Cancer.” The page states that of the “several dozen studies” investigating the connection between abortion and breast cancer,” the results seem “contradictory.”4 Nevertheless, they point to a 2003 National Cancer Institute workshop5 as definitive proof that abortion is not a risk factor for breast cancer. The National Cancer Institute (NCI), the American Cancer Society (ACS), and Susan G. Komen for the Cure all join NAF in stating that “research clearly shows no link between abortion and the risk of breast cancer.”6 Like NAF, all three point to the findings of the 2003 workshop to justify their stance, though NCI notes that research “continues to be conducted to determine whether having an induced abortion… influences a woman’s chances of developing breast cancer later in life”7 (a strange concession if research has already demonstrated that no link exists).
What none of these organizations disclose is that in 2009, Dr. Louise A. Brinton, “the chief organizer of the 2003 NCI workshop”8 co-authored a research paper which included the following findings:
In analyses of all 897 breast cancer cases (subtypes combined), the multivariate-adjusted odds ratios for examined risk factors were consistent with the effects observed in previous studies on younger women (Table 1). Specifically, older age, family history of breast cancer, earlier menarche age, induced abortion, and oral contraceptive use were associated with an increased risk for breast cancer. (emphasis added)9
Doctor Brinton is listed in the NCI staff directory as a “Senior Investigator” in the “Chief Hormonal and Reproductive Epidemiology Branch.”10 Interestingly, her study connecting abortion to breast cancer is not included in the selected publications they list for her. A 2010 article from Medical News Today, includes the following quote from Karen Malec, president of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer (ABC): “Although the study was published nine months ago, the NCI, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and other cancer fundraising businesses have made no efforts to reduce breast cancer rates by issuing nationwide warnings to women.”11 They are not alone in their silence. One of the few media outlets to even report the story was Canada’s The Globe and Mail. Gloria Galloway writes:
… a study released last fall by the respected Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Institute in Seattle by a number of distinguished cancer experts including Louise Brinton, the chief of the Hormonal and Reproductive Epidemiology Branch of the National Cancer Institute lists induced abortion as being “associated with an increased risk for breast cancer.” Background documents further suggest that it increases the risk of the disease by 40 per cent.

Komen Breast Cancer Foundation website lists abortion first under “factors not related to breast cancer.” Consequently, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation gives women only part of the scientific research on breast cancer, and ignores numerous studies that have yielded evidence linking abortion to breast cancer. One such study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute in 1994, was led by Dr. Janet Daling, who describes herself as “pro-choice,” and her colleagues at the Seattle’s Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. re is it that KOMEN is nothing more than a”charity” money launderer for Planned Parenthood
That’s about it.
‘Komen’s main source of income is its “Race for the Cure” events that are held across the country. These events get ordinary citizens to raise money for the organization.
Given its long-time connection with Planned Parenthood, we ask all of you to have no involvement with the Komen Foundation and to discourage others from helping it.
Documentation on the involvement of Planned Parenthood and Komen can be found on the web site of Pro-Life Waco, an American Life League associate group dedicated to fighting Planned Parenthood, at http://www.prolifewaco.org/KomenControversy.htm.’

This whole thing has been nothing more than a cynical fundraising.. Komen was flooded with money from gullible pro-lifers and PP with money from coldhearted pro-deathers. The only way to end this cynical manipulation of decent people is to end legal infanticide on demand. PP is not about planning parenthood but ending unplanned parenthood, usually of single irresponsible females, i.e. loose women of whom there are quite a few needless to say.

Another charity/business who will not have benefit from my money. GONE! It’s getting low now. In spite of Marlo Thomas, I still support St. Jude. Looking hard for principled business

Regarding your headline. If “thugs” is to describe anyone, it’s a description of those who push for de-funding of health care for women. And to describe the political party of those who favor the rights of the 1% over the care for all women, including those with limited resources.

RE: S. Wolf’s accusation: “…a money launderer for Planned Parenthood.”
The grants in question are extremely small percentages of both organizations’ budgets, so your characterization is just plain wrong, incorrect, ill-informed…. etc.

I’m sure all the outraged Planned Parenthood supporters will step in and make up the difference in what Komen will lose now that everyone knows that PP demands to get a share.

Breast cancer takes a courage of will power to FIGHT through a despairing situation…..By caving in to a blitzerkig of negative pressure, Komen has violated the very spirit needed to overcome adversity. They have quit on life.

I agree that the Komen people suffer from myopic thinking and a corporate bent. I also agree that Planned Parenthood is a viable organization that has been unfairly demonized notwithstanding its very legal status. I am proud that my conservative friends herein haven’t trotted out the idiotic warhorse about the PP founder being a kind of white supremacist and thus de-legitimizing the organization as whole. That argument is ridiculous. i think this is real cool, for it shows how wishy-washy Komen is while also getting money for PP. Thanks to the right-wing religious guys who fostered this boon!

Oh please, no apologies for the pro-deathers. This is not about the mythical one percent vs. the equally mythical ninety-nine percent, it is about the planned extermination via abortion of the unwanted offspring of careless, irresponsible single women. It is not about women’s health care. How many married women or women who don’t hump promiscuously like cats in the alley go to PP for health care? Just about none, eh? Married women and responsible single women who are pursuing an education or career typically have their own regular physicians and do not go to PP for ‘health care’. Even poor women whether married or not have access to doctors at hospitals and neighborhood clinics and if there were no PP tomorrow no one would notice its absence. PP exists for one reason and one reason only: abortions, i.e. the legal extermination of unwanted offspring of loose single women, not health care.

I won’t donate a penny to an organization that cannot stand on principle and fight against the onslaught from the evil, radical, murderous Planned Parenthood organization!

This has been a manipulation and money scheme. Both sides especially Planned Parenthood has made 3 million dollars. Now, is the time for our government to stop contributing, They have their money now, way more than ever.
I pray that the Supreme Court repeals Obama care. Planned Parenthood will not receive another tax payers dime.
This was a big scam.

Clueless Komen Foundation Runs Up Against the Sacrament of Liberalism

RUSH: The Susan G. Komen bunch, the Race for the Cure, whatever? They have caved big time to the feminazis at Planned Parenthood. It is stunning! Yesterday everybody was holding firm, and today Nancy Brinker who runs the Susan Komen group (I think it was her sister) made a big time cave. Biiiig time. Abortion is the sacrament to the religion of liberalism. Nobody is gonna mess with that money’s flow. Nobody is gonna mess with that pile of money. Nobody’s gonna mess with that at all.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I want to talk about this Susan G. Komen flap with Planned Parenthood. This is a teachable moment. It is an interesting illustration. I’m gonna get myself in trouble with people here, but what is new about that? Kathryn Jean Lopez of the National Review Online, she’s the editor of their blog The Corner, has a post titled, “From Pink Ribbon to White Flag — The only thing that seems clear is that Komen is desperately trying to make the campaign to kill Komen to stop…” Planned Parenthood wants the Susan G. Komen people — which is charity to wipe out breast cancer, raise money for breast cancer — gone. And, by the way, nobody’s talking about the relationship to breast cancer of abortion.
It’s been medically documented. There is a relationship between abortion and breast cancer, and notice how nobody wants to talk about that. I don’t even know if that’s part of Komen’s decision-making, the original decision making to defund Planned Parenthood or to stop donating Planned Parenthood. At any rate, the Planned Parenthood feminazis heard about this, and they went ballistic and they went nuclear because nobody — particularly a female-oriented charity like Komen — is gonna stop or interrupt the money flow to the pro-abortion mill industry. There’s too much money being made with all these abortions taking place, and nobody’s gonna get in the way and interrupt that.
So they went nuclear on ‘em, and what Planned Parenthood was attempting to do was take Komen out. They were gonna kill it. So the people at Susan G. Komen said: We don’t want to be killed here (by the venom that has been aimed at them from Planned Parenthood). But here’s the truth, and Kathryn G. Lopez points this out: “Komen, of course, has never said this week: We will never do business with Planned Parenthood again (as [many people] would love them to do, but I was and am under no delusions). And in this statement [from Nancy Brinker who runs Susan G. Komen] they appear to be somewhat consistent there … maybe: They have tightened funding guidelines and this Planned Parenthood did not look eligible, but that does not mean PP necessarily will not get grants in the future.

At this point, I’m not at all sure that Planned Parenthood performs mammograms at most, or even many, of its clinics. The articles suggests that this could be a face-saving cover story.
All I have to say is that breast cancer is extremely rare among teenagers.

My wife and I along with hundreds of other people – supported Komen for years. The organization has problems. This is not about politics. It goes much deeper. I believe most people including me did not realize Komen gave money to Planned Parenthood. Now, I don’t have a problem with that IF and I stress IF Planned Parenthood uses the money to help women with breast cancer related issues, like mammograms. I don’t want my money used to pay for abortions – PERIOD. Until Komen can assure me of that, they will not get a dime from me.
