Senator Moonbat Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is so upset that the Komen Foundation Race for the Cure won’t fund abortions that she told MSNBC it’s “reminiscent of the McCarthy era.”

Really Babs?… Really?

The Hill reported, via Lucianne:

Criticizing the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s to defund Planned Parenthood, Sen. Barbra Boxer (D-Calif.) said Thursday the breast cancer foundation was getting involved in a “political witch hunt.”

“I’m reminded of the McCarthy era” Boxer said on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” a period she described as “a congressman stands up, a senator, [and says] ‘I’m investigating this organization and therefore people should stop funding them.’ ”

Komen withdrew funding to Planned Parenthood because the abortion group does not do mammograms.

  1. She is afraid that the only witches found will be Boxer and Pelosi

  2. Is Barbara Boxer possibly the dumbest US Senator of all-time?

  3. How can they dictate policy to a charity?

  4. McCarthy chaired senate hearing questioning gov’t employees (that had access to classified gov’t data) who’s names were collected by the FBI. FBI investigations led to the suspicion that those people had ties to the US Communist Party.

That seems like something we still ought to be doing.

  5. Looking at it the way that the Dems (& anyone who watches PBS) do, Boxer’s actions here are ‘McCarthy’ like.

  6. Whenever Boxer speaks I’m reminded of Kim Jong-il. Note to California: Keep electing fools like her and your problems will only increase.

  7. #2-No, but close to it(in more ways than one), look who she has sitting beside her

  8. Sen. Barbara Boxer is a dinosaur that reacts to the question posed, rather than to find out what the question really means.

  9. The dirty little secret the left wants everyone to ignore. Planned Parenthood is first and foremost an abortion provider and doesn’t perform mammograms, they only refer women to clinics that actually perform them. In other words, Komen was getting nothing for their money.

  10. Don’t worry in three days it’ll be: “I’m reminded of Alabama 1964 segregated lunch counters and water cannons.”

Senator Boxer, I have $100 left over from all my expenses. DO I give it to Planned Parenthood or a starving mother and her kid in AFrica?
You want to TAX it out of me, my $100 I am sending to a starving mother and her kid in AFrica so that rich AMericans who can pay for it themselves can get abortions for free? Guess that’s a Liberal Left two-fer! Kill a baby and let the African mother and child starve! That’s THREE human beings dead!

Lieberal Leftists don’t want to SHARE the earth with riff-raff and inferiors.

  11. What’s the matter don’t they have enough crony capitalist traitors to keep their minority murder mills going? Maybe the snooty rich white women in NY & DC should get Tina Fey to put on her Palin outfit and then they can all hold a rally in Central Park and chant Kill Babies Kill!!!

I hate arrogant rich white leftist scum bahahahaha

  12. McCarthy was right after all. And here we are.

  13. While all this breast-beating by the left is going on, Komen’s donations are way up:

  14. I suspect there is also concern at Komen about the recent data indicating that abortion can lead to breast cancer. The hormonal stimulation of the breast during pregnancy, that is suddenly interrupted by having life sucked out of the womb, becomes a stimulus for production of tumors rather than mother’s milk.

  15. McCarthy has been proven right time and again.

People like Boxer are in fact subversive and were the targets.

  16. KornKing said it. Those two teaming up are like a perfect storm of stupidity.

  17. OT?

Since the McCarthy era has been brought up, for those of you who may be curious as to what transpired before, under FDR, and after. It’s an interesting read. It is also lengthy.

  18. The Democrats lack of meaningful leadership and discipline is really beginning to show. Debbie Wasserman Schultz may indeed be one of the most soulless, pathetic idiots willing to say the most absurd things in order to defuse their aggressive totalitarian march, but she’s no leader, nor is Joe “The sun’s rising… must be drinkin time already” Biden and Barack “I think therefore I rule” Obama.

The effect may be a serious shark-jumping of all their scare metaphors and other memes used to terrify, round up and move their easily herded masses. Most competent marketers would recognize this phenomenon; sticking the “racism” or “McCarthy” labels onto every minor skirmish destroys its brand value. It’s one thing to see line extension of the Cheerio brand into cereal bars, but Cheerio motor oil, bleach, feminine products, men’s shoe deoderizers and cheerio insecticide destroys the linkage in the consumer’s mind that has so carefully been constructed over time.

It’s having a profound effect. I know many retired life-long union Democrats who now laugh when one of these charges is bantered. “Oh yea, well everything’s racist now. My dog’s racist. Look! There’s a racist car.” The people are understanding that the sole meaning of the word racism is that some partisan is unhappy about something.

Perhaps this is a good thing, bringing us truly to a post-racial society. We appear to be at a majority that understands race doesn’t matter anymore, unless you’re a whiner who wants to make it an issue when it isn’t.

  19. I find it hilarious that my incompetent senator is next to Barbara Boxer. She’s dumber than a door knob. She’s basically told what to do by people in her organization because she cannot formulate her own opinions or come up with a good conclusion on anything. After all, she’s just “a mom in tennis shoes”.
