Newt snags big Alaskan fish–
First Dude Todd Palin endorsed Newt Gingrich today.

ABC News reported:
Sarah Palin’s husband is endorsing Newt Gingrich for president, Todd Palin told ABC News today.
But Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and John McCain’s 2008 Republican running mate, has yet to decide “who is best able to go up against Barack Obama,” Todd Palin said.
Palin said he has not spoken to Gingrich or anyone from the former House speaker’s campaign. But he said he respects Gingrich for what he went through in the 1990s and compared that scrutiny in public life to what Sarah Palin went through during her run for the vice presidency.
Todd Palin said he believes that being in the political trenches and experiencing the highs and lows help prepare a candidate for the future and the job of president.

Gingrich has been a fire cracker at the debates. And he says it like it is and that is really what Americans are wanting. I haven’t been enthusiastic about anyone but one thing for sure, you never know what Gingrich will say next but it always is memorial.

Gingrich is one man who says with no regret that Obama is completely the WORST president in American History. Gingrich has studied history for many years and he does know what works and what doesn’t. Yes, mistakes have been made but he has made is penance with God.
That should be enough. But he will be attacked again and again. But the future is where we all need to concentrate on. Have you had a friend who did something to you and you were so mad you thought you would never forgive them? But you did, they turned the corner.
Well, we all need to do that. Obama doesn’t apologizes to America but our Enemies.
No matter who is the Candidate we will back them because we can do soooo much better.
If Newt, Romney, Perry, Santorum, Huntsman. So, be it but we need to win and come together, fast.

Having a husband who has helped certainly doesn’t hurt any couple. And by the way, the media has been propping up Romney a little too long.
They keep saying he is the only candidate that can beat Obama. I say let the people speak first. Please. This time around it would be nice.

I say let ALL the people decide on this year’s candidate.

Romney
Why is that?
Because they see him as a weak, McCain type.
This country desperately needs a candidate who will take the fight to obama. And that ain’t Romney.
mamagriz68 commented:
Well, Rush pointed out a Donna Brazille (SP?) comment after the ABC debate, something about how the media goes after everyone else because Romney is the least dangerous to Obama. Duh. Also heard a comment that the media is trying to rush the nominating process so they have more time to tear apart the nominee (in their eyes, Romney). It’s all making more sense as to why Romney is just not talked about by the media in any way negatively.
Not sure why anyone should care who Todd Palin likes though. He’s certainly entitled to his opinion, but if Sarah endorses Romney, Santorum, or Gingrich, she will lose a lot of credibility in my eyes.

South Carolina Tea Partiers Wish Romney Would Just Go Away
[If Gingrich, who many view as the ultimate Washington insider, seems
like an improbable figure for the very anti-establishment Tea Party to
rally behind, consider this: some Tea Partiers now view Gingrich as an
honorary outsider because of how thoroughly Washington insiders have
been trying to politically destroy him.
"He was run out (of his speakership) by the Republican establishment, so to

Safe, Moderate Candidates Do Not Win Elections Aganist Incumbent Presidents:
The conventional wisdom among the chattering class about the Republican field is that voters face a choice between “electability” and “ideology.” But a careful look at elections since the end of World War II suggests that is not the case. What most pundits think of as “electable,” a safe candidate attractive to moderate voters, has historically been highly unlikely to unseat an incumbent president. In the five elections since World War II in which the party out of power has picked a “safe” candidate to take on a sitting president, the result was defeat for the supposedly safe, electable challenger (5 to 1 against Romney).

Oh, and Romney is quite possibly the weakest candidate (with the exception of Huntsman or Ron Paul) we could run against Obama. He’s their dream opponent. He perfectly fits their ‘evil 1%’ mold. Gingrich didn’t “go through” anything like what the Palins experienced. He was actually guilty of pretty much everything he was accused of – except that after a months-long review, the IRS decided his fudging hadn’t actually broken tax laws. Would you or I have earned a long, thoughtful consideration of our case, not being Speaker, or just been made to pay up?
If Gingrich isn’t “Washington Establishment,” then who is? Sure, he WAS an outsider – in the ’80s, until he became Speaker. Then, after the conservatives in his own caucus refused to support him any longer, did he go home to Georgia? No, he bought a house in Northern Virginia and joined the revolving door of politicians and influence-peddlers in the capital.
If you believe Freddie Mac paid him $25,000 a month for years to tell them historical tales of housing policies past, then go ahead and vote for him. But remember your helmet when you go outside, mmmkay?

What a nincompoop you are! Do you REALLY think that Romney, who could not win against John McCain in 2008, has half of a snowball’s chance in hell of beating a sitting president, even if that president is Obama? Romney has been running for president since the middle of his term as governor of Massachusetts. In fact, that is specifically WHY he was not reelected governor – couldn’t be bothered to do the state’s business. We’re talking more than 15 years here. NOTHING has changed about Mitt Romney . . . he is as much a loser today as he was 15 years ago.

He did not criticize any of the other candidates and
said his “hat is off to everyone” in the Republican race.
But Todd Palin did point to last summer, when a large portion of
Gingrich’s staff resigned and the candidate was left, largely by
himself, to run the campaign.
Gingrich’s ability to overcome the obstacle and still move up in
the polls showed his ability to campaign and survive, according
to Todd Palin, who said Gingrich is not one of the typical “beltway
types” and that his campaign has “burst out of the political arena
and touched many Americans.”]
i totally agree with Todd, and imho, to take the scrutiny
comparison to the literal extreme is, well, moonbatty..

Today, we have a million places to go (like GP) and neither Todd Palin’s nor Sarah Palin’s endorsement is going to sway anything.
What is this nonsensical talk of candidates “releasing their supporters” to another candidate?
I was going to vote for you. You dropped out. Now I’m going to pick somebody else. I’m not going to vote for the person you choose for me. That’s ridiculous.
And lastly, Newt won’t even see a 5-minute bump in the polls. The limelight for Romney challengers is getting shorter and shorter. Santorum is back down to 10% in the polls, even after the millions poured in.
There’s no way Romney won’t be the candidate. It’s official that the media picks the GOP candidate and this time is no different. (Ironic considering how I started this post)

I wish that more people out there would address that Mitt Romney is a Mormon and what Mormonism is and how it is against the Scriptures. My husband of 54 years and I studied Mormonism for a 6 week course when we were first married and “WE DID NOT BECOME MORMONS”. We are supporting Newt because we feel that not only is he the best for what it takes to be President, but we also believe that he has asked God for forgiveness for his past sins. We are Christian Conservatives and with studying with the Mormoms, we learned that they teach that when the Apostles died that the Church died and Jesus said “Upon this rock, I shall build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. The Church did not die for the word Church means in Greek for which the New Testament was written “Called Out”. We that believe in Christ and have accepted Him as our Personal Savior and Lord of our Life are part of a Body of Believers who make up the Called Out which is the Church. God’s Temple is not made with hands. It is within you and the Holy Spirit guides you daily to help you live a Christian Life. We need more people not to just read the Scriptures, but to Study the Scriptures to show yourself approved unto God. We cannot support Mitt Romney because he is so gullable to believe that a nobody (Joseph Smith) could come along and say we need a new Church, for Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and if he could not have kept his Church together, you think for one moment that Joseph Smith can? God forbid. We need a President that is not gullable for how can he lead our country if he believes in Joseph Smith?
