Romney Gave 15% to Charity – Obama Gave 1% to Charity

Obama wants Americans to pay their fair share.

He won’t. But he will spend your money on lavish vacations for his wife.

Obama only gave 1% of his income to charity last year.
FOX Nation reported:

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle gave $10,772 of the $1.2 million they earned from 2000 through 2004 to charities, or less than 1 percent, according to tax returns for those years released today by his campaign.

The Obamas increased the amount they gave to charity when their income rose in 2005 and 2006 after the Illinois senator published a bestselling book. The $137,622 they gave over those two years amounted to more than 5 percent of their $2.6 million income.

You mean Obama doesn’t give to his “church” anymore???

  • MustComment

And where did he donate his 1%? What charities? I’d bet zero donation(s) were made within the USofA…

Michele has to go on her rainbow tour after all, Spain needed the money.

Wonder if it included any used underwear (re: the Slick Willy — the Bonnie & Clod “twofer” of years gone by).

Typical phoney lib ahole “do as I say, not as I do, loser” liberal. Honestly, liberals really are the scum of the earth. What a diseased wretched people.

For Ozymandias-on-the-Potomac, charity begins with “homie” and he’s Homie Number One in his own eyes… (a self-made man in love with his creator…)

Before I forget, the black panthers and Communist Party USA do not count as charities as much as the White House would have you believe it.

Fairness for thee but not for the Lobster Queen.

Is that your fair share Soetoro? It’s easy to donate 1% when US taxpayers are picking up most of your travel, entertainment and vacation expenses.

Stupid Teabaggers! President Obama gives PLENTY of money to charities. He’s taken hundreds of billions and given them to ACORN, Planned Parenthood, GM, unions, and countless other charity cases.

Compassion begins with the theft of your neighbor’s wallet, since we all know he’ll just spend the money on stupid crap like NASCAR and beer.

Drudge summed it up and shame on the Republicans if they don’t use this to BLUDGEON the DimocRATS.

    From Drudge:
Romney gave 15% to charity; Obama 1%…

Biden gave $369… Romney paid 42% of 2011 income in taxes and charity…

    ‘No apology’…

A study was done a few years ago to compair conservatives and liberal spending on charity. The conservatives won that hands down with giving 30 or 40% more money to churches, charities, and organizations that help the poor either through churches or other sources for help, more than liberals. What the study found was that liberals believed that charity should come from the government, and were not willing to give their own money. Liberals believed that as long as their intent to help the poor is all that is necessary to help people. Only one problem with that is you can’t fill the belly of someone who is hungry with “intent”. The only thing that will fill the belly of the hungry is money to buy food, real food, not intended food.

It’s a fact that more people were being helped by Christian’s, and other conservatives because of their faith and spiritual beliefs that they should help people, “…with a happy heart.” Also to, the Bible tells us that we are to help people and not tell them you are, you are to help them and they not know it came from you. It’s to be done in secret. I have done that for many years and it really gives me a thrill to know that it was my money that gave that little poor kid a Christmas they wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Liberals on the other hand want people to know who did what and how much. It’s so they can compete with other Hollywood types and rich people to get that “one upmanship” on somebody. It’s for their glory that they do it for the poor, or that they announce how much they care about the poor, and then they give a pitance. But you see it’s the intent, not the amount. Besides the average liberal really doesn’t give a crap about somebody who is living on the street. And that’s not to say that there are liberals who help people all the time. They may seem like they are giving alot, but they are seeking the glory for it as well, or they are mostly after big government donations so they won’t have to spend their own money or their friends either.

Jim: Do you not read the text of the very things you post?

“The Obamas increased the amount they gave to charity when their income rose in 2005 and 2006 after the Illinois senator published a bestselling book. The $137,622 they gave over those two years amounted to more than 5 percent of their $2.6 million income”

So, the most recent data for the Obamas charitable contributions say 5%. Why title your
post with the most recent data for Romney, but the OLDER data available for Obama?

Is it more eyecatching to be intentionall dishonest?

Yes, 15% is more that 5%. But those are the real numbers.

  • Dunce

I would bet that the number of democrat senators, congressmen, and governors that gave 20% of their income to charity was zero but they want redistribute other peoples money. How many of that same group’s total charitable contributions would it take to match Romney in any year, to match him over 5 or 10 years?

  • Dell

How many of you give 5% of your gross taxable income to charity?

  • Sasja

Liberals only like giving away other people’s money. They are stingy. Especially, Hollyweird types. As though giving of their time is some big deal. Most of them still expect the charity they’re supposedly helping, to pay their expenses. I remember watching a TV program about Palm Springs and the annual charity events put on by the elites. One charity ball got so expensive there was hardly any money left for the charity. You see, they take what has been donated, subtract the cost of the event, and give the remaining money to the charity. Now that’s really generous.

  • cal rifkin

Hey, C’mon…they deal, supply, give lots of OPM to the masses….you know OPM? – Other People’s Money. (all y’all can use that)

  • Sasja

@my #17. Palm Beach. Not Palm Springs.

  • Sasja

#16. Dell. According to recent data, I am part of the so-called poor (although I don’t think I’m poor). What my contributions to my church and to charities are really none of your business, but will respond and tell you it is over 10%.
