Breaking: Rep. Gabby Giffords Announces She Is Stepping Down in Video Message

Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ) announced that she would not seek reelection and will step down next week in a video message.

Giffords was shot last year during a Tuscon meet-and-greet with her Tucson constituents. She showed great courage in her recovery.
Please keep Gabby and her family in your prayers.

UPDATE: Gov. Jan Brewer will call an April special election to replace Giffords.
