Newt Gingrich PUMMELS Juan Williams at GOP South Carolina Debate (Video)

Sorry Juan. Race card denied.
Juan Williams got booed and then pummeled by Newt Gingrich tonight.

Newt Gingrich pummeled Juan Williams tonight after the FOX contributor accused the former Speaker of using the food stamp issue to attack minorities.
This was awesome.

“I know among the political elites you’re not supposed to use facts that are uncomfortable.”

Juan is only trying to get back into the good graces of NPR and the Left after he said something that was actually the truth but was not politically correct.

  • a former dem

what a stupid line of questions by Juan.

I’m watching this debate with some family members, some are former obots and they are black, and we all agreed this race baiting crap needs to stop!

    Just stop it!!!!!!

    Newt shoulda brought that up:

I would add, Juan, that under Obama, it’s gotten so bad that women are offering sexual favors for Chicken McNuggets.

That would have BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN!

  • Tyranny’s Bain

When Newt isn’t trying to display innovative brilliance, but instead applies conservatism to the problem, there is no one better at it. It is only when he deviates from those principles with some half-baked ideas like local immigration boards deciding the immigration status of illegal aliens that he loses me.

Newt…stop trying to be too clever by half…apply conservatism to the monumental problems our nation faces and you will defeat McRomney and Obama.

  • srdem65

    Bravo, Newt!

I’m backing Newt….all the way. I’ve made my decision…..if he loses….then I’ll hold my nose and vote ABO!

He does not deserve to be paid by any network to shove that garabge down peoples thraots let the bastard geta real job

  • juan is the guy who became a liberal media darling during the 1990’s by saying the militia movement was white men in their natural state.

Juan Williams will look funny walking back to his hotel room with Newt’s shoe hanging out of his ass.

  • succotash

Ron Paul got highest scores on Fox because they only took twitter answers but in reality he looked and sounded old and irrational IMHO.. Gingrich won on my scorecard.Perry made some very good points and so did Santorum. Rommney just sounded wishy washy on many issues.

  • #11 bing……………Newt got standing o …………great job Newt

  • Poor Juan is boxing out of his weight class!

  • GOD BLESS YOU Newton Leroy Gingrich

  • Molon Labe

Tell me why the GOP allows people like Williams to ask such irresponsible and ignorant questions?

Juan Williams is the poster boy for a MSM gone wrong.

  • Patty

A standing ovation. Well deserved and it seems that many Americans feel the same way. A job is one of the most important things, making money great, now matter how small the pay, money is money. To a child this is one of the greatest feelings and they are proud of themselves and they begin to respect the fact that they contribute and can learn to manage their finances.

I have always thought that schools need to teach finance. Not just a subject that is there to take but required, like math, spelling and science.

Newt will help those who want to help themselves and if the slackers don’t want it, so be it.

But once this take fire our economy will grow.

    Gingrich was Great.

  • Patty

without Juan Williams we wouldn’t have seen Gingrich get one of the biggest standing Ovation in a debate.

  • Patty

And Juan Williams said that the people did respond to Gingrich and that is what Gingrich was looking for, a big response to something about Food Stamp President.

And Obama is the Food Stamps president. That is a complete downer for a proud American. Many hate being on Food Stamps, many abuse this program.

But I would bet many would want a work program so they could get off them and make a life for themselves. So, the question was perfect and I knew Newt Gingrich would come through this great.

  • Rob G

You should have showed the standing ovation Newt received after that comment. Bravo Newt!!

  • Patty

Well, I wonder about Nikki Haley endorsing Romney. Tonight Gingrich was wonderful. And again he would wipe the floor with Obama in a debate.

  • Some days, Gingrich sounds presidential. Then other days he steps on his d*ck.

But in the Anybody But Romney Republican Primaries, Gingrich is the best of the lot, and the one most likely to get Republicans excited enough to work this election like they have never worked an election before. But like I said, Gingrich is the best of the lot, and quite a used car lot it is, with many lemons available for a cheap price.

  • exceller

Gingrich is the only one who can beat Obama. the talk about his “baggage” is horse pucky, who has more baggage than the president? Newt’s not perfect in any way but he is the only one we have who is inspiring and energizing. he would crush Obama. if Republicans continue to take the easy route and annoint Romney because of some misguided calculation that he is most electable, they should prepare for a stinging defeat this fall. Romney is a loser.

  • Girlyman

Best comment Newt made today wasn’t on the debate. But referring to Romney, he essentially asked, “why would someone nominate or vote for the person who lost to John McCain in last election, who in turn lost to Obama? How has he changed in the last three years?

  • donh

Yes it was a lame set up Gotcha question…but Poor judgement for Gingrich to use it as an opportunity to beat down the old black guy on Martin Luther King Day…and roll out his vision for taking America back to the good old days of cheap child labor . Juan achieved his objectives by drawing an overly harsh response.

  • Samson Wright

Taqiyyotomist, regarding the comment about chicken McNuggets. I once watched Jamie Oliver do a cooking show on preparing chicken McNuggets. If everyone know what they really were, your comment would really hit a nerve.

I won’t disgust you with the process, except to say, any resemblance to real chicken is an accident. Which begs the question, “just how screwed up was that woman?”

  • Rose

NEWT gave the PERFECT Conservative answer. I give him that – it was perfect.

BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT HE HAS BEEN SAYING FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS as he toured with Arne Duncan, Obama’s pedophilia Promoting Sec of Ed and with Al Sharpton as he promoted Obama’s education policies as evinced by Arne Duncan:
    Newt-worthy or Not?
November 8, 2011 By Scott Rohter

Fox News timed it so there was NO time for rebuttal or challenge of Newt on that answer.
2009-2010 Travels around the country with Al Sharpton and Arne Duncan to promote President Obama’s new educational policies: i.e. increased local control of schools with increased Federal subsidies and regulations from Washington. (Sounds like quite a contradiction to me.)

  • Rose

Some of you think Gingrich can beat Obama. But if McCain couldn’t, then neither can Gingrich for the same reasons.

Newt will get plenty of crossover DIMS during Open Primaries – but Conservatives won’t vote for him.

Newt doesn’t WALK his BEST talk, and he don’t always talk his best – for instance:
Newt Gingrich John Kerry Global Warming debate 2007
This “Lincoln Douglas” style debate that Newt styled and invited Kerry to – and then Newt showed up as John Wilkes Booth with high praise for Kerry, FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF KERRY.
NEWT: ” … I NEVER WORKED WITH PEOPLE I DON’T AGREE WITH…” Dec. 15, 2011 Fox News Debate, responding to Michelle Bachman regarding his conduct re Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

Today, Michael Moore was wondering why Newt was using his [Moore’s] attacks of 20 yrs on Mitt, himself [Newt, himself]. [And bashing capitalism in the process.]
    Say Goodnight, Newt
    Peter Wehner 01.16.2012 – 5:10 PM

  • Rose

Newt may seem inspiring to some of you, but the baggage he has is real and would get much worse in the White House on Display. Just as Bill Clinton’s was much worse in the White House than it SEEMED while he was campaigning, and already having to refute charges of his serial adultery.

What you should be deploring is that in the face of the horrible impact of faithless celebrities and politicians on families and on children – whose end results showed a drastic difference in the ship wreck on 1/13/2012 and the wreck of the Titanic on April 15, 1912 – in the way the men and women treated the families and women and children.

In the instance of the Titanic, it was a true horror that the Captain ordered below decks gates locked to lower the competition for the scant lifeboats – but there were so many many many tales of true heroism by crew and passengers towards eachother.

Costa Concordia doesn’t look likely to be rife with tales of heroism above and beyond.

Besides, Newt makes me as sick to my stomach to watch him as does Odrama Queen and Bill Clinton. Calista will do the same to me as Michele and Hillary, as well.

I don’t see you getting enough votes to the polling stations.

  • Rose

When you vote for men of Low Degree, then try to tell your children and grandchildren to behave with HIGH levels of integrity, they say to you, you watch these celebrities, you VOTE for these politicians, why are you demanding this higher level of conduct FROM ME?

You have lost your ability to have any influence from Love with your own family.

    They don’t believe you.

-who forced clinton into reforming welfare unto workfare?

not Rose, but i’ll toot for Newt.. 😉

Newt Gingrich Endorsed by Architect of
Reagan Economic Plan, Economist Art Laffer

    The Past and the Present

[While the televised debates are what gave Newt Gingrich’s candidacy
a big boost, concrete accomplishments when in office are the real test.
Gingrich engineered the first Republican takeover of the House of
Representatives in 40 years — followed by the first balanced budget
in 40 years. The media called it “the Clinton surplus” but all spending
bills start in the House of Representatives, and Gingrich was Speaker
    of the House.

Speaker Gingrich also produced some long overdue welfare reforms,
despite howls from liberals that the poor would be devastated. But
nobody makes that claim any more.]

    more here..

[It’s amazing how a candidate who everyone is now dismissing is racking up these big name conservative endorsements like Art Laffer and Thomas Sowell (who endorsed him Wednesday though I somehow missed it). For those of you unfamiliar with Thomas Sowell, he is a brilliant economist/writer who is 100% for small government and provides very reasoned commentary on a regular basis through his columns.]

    and here..

[The Illinois African American Libertarian Alliance (IAALA) is home to hundreds of Chicago African American conservatives and has decided to endorse Newt Gingrich for the upcoming 2012 election. “Newt Gingrich represents the values of many conservatives—White, Latino, or Black. He is honest about who he is and is the perfect person to turn a falling country around,” says IAALA President David Lemar.]

and here (also scroll for more)..

Working for FOX does not make you popular even if you do hate the man.

Another Fox debate and ZERO questions about Obamacare or Romneycare. Unbelievable!

  • Sandy

Well said Newt. The fact that the media intelligencia believes that Food Stamps means Black People shows their prejudice and not that of Newt Gingrich.

Juan Williams is nothing more than a high paid moaner.

  • Sandy

Juan Williams should have a program entitled Moaning for Millions.

  • Ipso Facto

I wish Newt would have asked Juan why the blacks consistently have the lowest college board scores in reading, math and writing. And then, why do blacks have the lowest high school graduation rates in the nation?

The truth is that blacks DO HAVE poor work ethics. On top of that, they are wasting the money we are paying for their education because they do not value education.

How is it that the Asian kids are leading the pack if they are racial minorities and America is prejudiced against racial minorities?

The truth is that until the black people get off the Democratic plantation, they will continue to be decimated by the debilitating scheme whereby they are given free money for doing nothing which destroys a person’s motivation to reach their highest potential in life.

In contrast, Romney’s performance was his worst. Forced to step outside his well-rehearsed answers, he seemed to flail around some, avoiding direct answers, especially on releasing his tax returns.

Newt’s mind is so nimble and his ability to argue for conservative principles is unmatched. No one will do it better. He’s the one we need fighting the Left and calling them on their crapola — we won’t win with another squishy wimp.

    Here’s something I just learned:

What a great move by Newt’s camp. This to me is a bigger win than Romney’s endorsements just after Thanksgiving from Ileana Sos-Lehtinen & Mario Diaz-Balart. Sure, they are both beloved politicians in South Florida’s Cuban community, but endorsements don’t vote. Getting the Latino community and conservative base in South Florida to mobilize is what will earn the votes for this Presidential primary, and Mallea has one of the most popular names in Florida politics to garner support, Marco Rubio’s. Sure Marco isn’t endorsing, but when his team begins to form behind another candidate, does he really have to?

The Miami Herald’s Marc Caputo broke the story earlier today with a little help from Beth Reinhard at the National Journal:

(Jose) Mallea, a Miami-based consultant and Coral Gables bar owner, is more of an ideas guy than an operations manager. And he’s the best type of insider: one who seems like an outsider. His roots are deep in Miami and he worked for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. This shows Newt is smart. Mallea not only has great connections, he’s one of those rare political creatures who doesn’t seem to have many enemies.

I can’t believe Newt’s numbers haven’t shot up after last night. If SC doesn’t come through for him, maybe Florida will. But he gets another chance to shine in one more debate on Thursday before SC’s vote on Saturday.

  • No Never Alone

He said “among the politically correct”, not the “politically elite”.

Also, people in general need to stop staying that we are from different races.
We are from the same race – the human race.
We are from different TRIBES and different NATIONS. Remember what happened after the flood…. Shem, Ham, Japheth – same family – became different tribes and nations.

BTW, how many people are on food stamps in America?

I recently heard that the it’s the United States Economy that’s in poor shape. The United States Stock Market and Businesses are in good shape.

Americans should not be putting their trust in the dollar – they should be looking to God for help, and then get to work, because that is how man (the whole human race) was designed to function after Adam ate the apple in the Garden. There is no free ride – he who does not work does not eat. If you are receiving money from the government or food stamps, then get to work cleaning up your communities and be part of the workforce in some way until you can stand on your own two feet. Move if you have to. If you are blessed with a job, be thankful, and do what you can to help those in desparate need (like widows and orphans).
Be frugal with your money (that’s not miserly – that means spend less than you earn, and save for the rainy day.) Get rid of any entitlement attitude you may have, whether you live in US or Canada or anywhere else where taxes are eating up your incomes faster than you can earn them.

Regarding Mitt Romney or any other candidate – one should NEVER vote strategically – it often backfires. If you are just trying to get rid of Obama, and will settle for anyone, you will not be voting according to your consciences, you will be voting under pressure to simply unseat Obama. It will be hard to sleep at night later if you have ANY misgivings about ANY candidate. Ultimately, I believe it’s more important to vote for a righteous man with a good track record, than to vote for someone who has a questionable or wishy-washy track record that cannot be explained. I’m not saying I know who that person is – but make sure you are sure in your heart that you have studied the candidates, listened to their words yourself (not through the filter of an antogonistic and biased media) and then hold them accountable for their words and promises when they get into office.

  • No Never Alone

And, finally, food stamps are an excellent way to help people. They get food, and then they can function. It’s better than giving them unending money to burn.

Very interesting debates. It’s nice to see that Newt is coming across in a very common sense fashion. He stands behind his words and does not retract statements.

  • Free The Dum

We all know what’s going on, the people that don’t hear it don’t want to hear it. You cannot argue a person into it. You cannot tell a person that is code, because the people that don’t want to hear that it’s code will say it’s not and the people that clearly hear that it’s code will.” Newt Gingrinch is a bigoted racist and most of you people on this blog site are blinded by the pure hatred you have for Obama…
