For some reason, ABC forgot to mention this during their interview with Marianne Gingrich.

(Reuters)
Marianne Ginrich warned she would undermine Newt back in a 1995 interview.
Marooned in Marin reported:
A poster at FreeRepublic found this from a 1995 PBS show, “The Inner Quest of Newt Gingrich.” Very interesting comments from Marianne Gingrich, when they were married at the time.
But his greatest presidential stumbling block may be right under his nose. At home, Newt’s second wife, Marianne Ginther Gingrich, tells me she doesn’t see herself in the First Lady’s job. “Watching Hillary has just been a horrible experience,” commiserates Marianne. “Hillary sticking her neck out is not working.”
What happens if Newt runs?, I ask.
“He can’t do it without me,” she replies. “I told him if I’m not in agreement, fine, it’s easy” –she giggles at her naughtiness. “I just go on the air the next day, and I undermine everything…I don’t want him to be president and I don’t think he should be.”
More… The New York Post’s this morning reported that Marianne Gingrich once had an affair with a married man – a local boss for the United Auto Workers union, in fact? The Washington Post is said to have reported on this back in 1995.

Newt cheated on his first wife with his second. Cheated on his second wife with his third. Both women were also part of the cheating and deception and are no better than he is. Saying that, this shows that Newt Gingrich has no problems in general with staging a deception when it is convenient for him to do so. While he may claim that he has changed and no longer cheats on his wife, and that may be the case, the underlying personality traits are not generally something that can be changed. He may not be engaging in that specific deception any longer (he might not need to, his current wife may be willing to “share”) but the general deceptive personality traits will still stand.
I can not believe a word Newt Gingrich says and have absolutely no confidence in his integrity. Conservatives threw him out as Speaker for a reason. The cheating on his wife isn’t so much the root of the problem, it is a symptom of a more general problem and I would be pretty interested in seeing that House ethics committee report on him, too.
I do not want this man as my President. I can’t trust him.
kato commented:
Gingrich is the GOP version of Clinton.
The word is that Gingrich’s GOP peers in Congress hate his guts. Several have already come out and said they would NOT endorse him.
And the California congressman who appears every Friday on Hugh Hewitt’s show (his name escapes me at the moment) dispelled some of Gingrich’s claim to being a conservative champion. According to this congressman’s telling, Gingrich was the father of earmarks, and much of the financial budget-balancing that Gingrich is now bragging about was the result of smoke-and-mirrors accounting.
Gingrich’s old partner, John Kasich, is now the governor of Ohio. So far, he has practiced the old-style crony capitalism of handing tax abatement to companies that have threatened to leave the state. No signs of real reform here, although if you listen to blowhard Kasich, you would think Ohio is leading the nation.

For all of you Newt supporters, get use to this. This guy has made many enemies and this will be the norm. Whether it is ex’s, old girlfriends, fellow congressmen, business associates, there will be a steady flow of this kinda stuff through the whole election.
His negatives are, and have been, in the double digits: he is significantly disliked.
And many of you will blame everyone but yourselves when he looses, because so many of you were so easily impressed by his ability to speak.
Isn’t this the same Newt who:
-last year decried Paul Ryan’s reform plan as “right wing social engineering”
-last year was still defending the individual mandate in health care, a concept he was an early champion of
-a couple of years ago did a global warming commercial with Nancy Pelosi to show his support for curbing man-made global warming
-claims credit for the Reagan revolution (the same Reagan who only mentions him once in an autobiography, and that mention relating to a bad idea he had)
-claims credit for the 1994 election rout, even though most of the credit should go to a young fireball commentator named Rush Limbaugh (as well as the clinton’s overreach)
-advocates an immigration policy that could only be described as amnesty light
-nationally maintains a negative rating in the double digits (more people strongly dislike him rather than strongly approve of him)
His plan on attacking the media when they ask him a question he dislikes will only go so far, and will begin to annoy people. Today, I watched him accuse the Fox panel of bias, because they simply asked if he would release his ethics file. Eventually, that will lead to opinion of him tanking just like Romney’s stonewalling on his taxes. It makes you look like you have something to hide.

Dear Marianne,
In your vain attempt at revenge, you’ve humiliated yourself. You could have let sleeping dogs lie, but…nooooo.
Now, every time people see your sad-sack face in that interview, they will judge you…one way or the other.
And you brought it on yourself.

Ausonious: I don’t think Romney was being vague on when he’ll release his taxes. If you listen again you will see that. Otherwise good post. People forget.
And in polling Obama is way above Newt. Not so with Romney.
Mama Grizzly commented:
If Newt wins, then the First Lady will be the intern. This is like Clinton divorcing Hilary and marrying his intern.
And that says what about her in most people’s minds?
I don’t think we need all this drama.
Better to promote someone solid.
FurryGuy commented:
And in polling Romney was supposed to be THE winner in SC, Newt was to have been behind Ron Paul in votes.
And lookie here, it didn’t happen. Polls that didn’t get it right?!? Wow.
For that matter, Santorum was supposed to have been the bottom of the heap in Iowa, and now he’s the actual winner.
The only poll that counts is the actual election. All else is propaganda.

dfbaskwill………The reason you have never heard of any kind girlfriend of Dumbama’s is because he was gay. That is up until the time he decided to run for office. Then he married Moocherella. Just a facade!!!!! They had their requisite kids, and probably haven’t had sex since she got pregnant with the last kid. Even a non-gay wouldn’t want to go to bed with that gorilla-faced lard-butt!!!!

Alinsky?
I can’t say your name calling suprises me whatsoever.
BTW: I saw an ad for the position of bimbo eruption specialist position, just contact Newt’s office. Judging by the way I see phony conservatives sound amazingly like the clinton folks (i’m guessing you were probably a democrat follower at that time, so you’ll remember it) tearing down anyone who takes a shot at Newt. I figure that would be a nice fit for you.
You can know this: if you get Newt as a nominee, and he looses enough of the base due to serial infidelity, then you can also know that you helped elect barry for four more years.

Very good point.
Trying to communicate logic to bg, valerie, etc., is very much like trying to have a coherent conversation with a paulbot. But your point was a strong effort.
I’m starting to wonder if Newt isn’t being backed by alot of the same establishment sorts that have desperately desired to rid the Republican brand of social conservatives for decades. They know that if they can get him the nomination, then the standard, in terms of personal conduct, will have effectively be lowered to something around the clinton standard.
Shawn commented:
Like I said before the Demorats will stoop to no low to smear a person. As for the house ethics chages against Newt they mean nothing. What about Rengal and Waters and their charges? Get real and destory the left before they destory us.

I mean really……..who could blame Newt? This is one fugly ugly skank!!!!!! But then again can someone tell me if Calista’s hair MOVES?
