Despite the constant leftist propaganda by the media and the #occupy criminals, Americans make up half of the richest 1% in the world.
CNN Money reported:

The United States holds a disproportionate amount of the world’s rich people.

It only takes $34,000 a year, after taxes, to be among the richest 1% in the world. That’s for each person living under the same roof, including children. (So a family of four, for example, needs to make $136,000.)

So where do these lucky rich people live? As of 2005 — the most recent data available — about half of them, or 29 million lived in the United States, according to calculations by World Bank economist Branko Milanovic in his book The Haves and the Have-Nots.

Another four million live in Germany. The rest are mainly scattered throughout Europe, Latin America and a few Asian countries. Statistically speaking, none live in Africa, China or India despite those being some of the most populous areas of the world.

The numbers put into perspective the idea of a rapidly growing global middle class…

… In the grand scheme of things, even the poorest 5% of Americans are better off financially than two thirds of the entire world.

Of course, it should be noted that Barack Obama wants to fundamentally transform America into something else entirely different. He’s proving it day in and day out with his failed policies.

  1. Yes, we’re the richest, but who is also the most charitable. Thank you.

  2. If Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t like it here, then just leave and take your family and friends with you–you’re all rich so go find an island somewhere and leave America alone!

“You can’t fix stupid, but you can vote them out!”

“Don’t make the same mistake twice America–NOBAMA 2012!”

  3. “Obama wants to change that”: I would expect nothing less from an anti-American. It still amazes me that our vetting process FAILED us in 2007.

  4. Of course America has so many rich people – they stole it all from the Third World!
[ I actually heard some asshat in Nigeria say that as a rationalization for his criminal activities. ]

I’d like to know how that works. I could use an extra billion dollars or so.

  5. Half of World’s Richest 1% Live in America – Obama Wants to Change That

He’s an idiot if that is indeed what he wants to do. We would end up poorer as a result.

    ALL OF US.

  6. Yah, but some people “get it.”

Hey, Jim! Here’s a coda to your string of #Occupy stories, a must-see film clip.

  7. Overall, I don’t see anything much wrong with wanting the rest of the world to be rich. It would be great if there was no poverty in the world and we could all sit around doing whatever the fabulously wealthy do.

However, that’s an insane idea, and really, damaging the U.S. to help other nations is rather like setting your own house on fire, because after it’s burned to a crisp, the neighbors houses look nicer.

I’m pretty sure that libtards would argue that if the US was a third world country living in abject poverty, the rest of the world would like us more. Because that’s really what it’s all about, being liked, isn’t it?

    /idiots

  8. Only you could believe that $36,000 a year is rich.

Did you ever hear the saying “compare yourself to somebody that amounts to something”?

And some this makes you feel like you’re in the same company as Mitt Romney.

Get a clue. Mitt Romney makes $36,000 a day.

  9. Don’t tear us down. Show the rest of the world how it’s done–free market economics, for instance, if such a thing exists in the US anymore….

There’s a reason IBM, Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. are US companies.

It’s the political climate (historically) that has let companies like this succeed.

And Obama’s trying to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

  10. Obama wants a lot of things. Seems he is getting away with a great deal, lately. And it seems that the lawyers are making a lot of money because every day there’s something else he purposes on the edge of breaking the Constitution.

He taught Constitutional Law so we hear. He reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyEE0qpfeig

Well, it obviously plagues you infinitely more than it plagues me. In fact, I don’t even care about OWS’s infantile needs and expressions of groupist impotence and greed.

Get a clue. Mitt Romney makes $36,000 a day.

    So what?

But since you do care so much about achieving your Dear Leader’s vision of “equal impoverishment and enslavement for all!”, why don’t you all repair to North Korea, instead of trying to force the rest of us to participate in your psychoderanged fantasyland here in America?

I don’t care, but since you do, why don’t you calculate up what Oprah Winfrey, George Soros, Sean Penn, Al Gore, Michael Moore and the rest of your buddies and Heroes make per day? Then do it for, say, Albert Puhols, etc..

For example, back around 2000 Derrick Jeter signed a 10 yr contract at $18 million/yr.. In my world, he deserved it, because of our free Market mechanism under Constitutional Capitalism, within which he entertains people as a result of their free choice, and he supports quite a lot of associated jobs. In your world, he’d be digging graves with me – if we were lucky.

  13. Posts like this show the utter failure of America to create wealth for private citizens. Yeah, right.

Barry is still trying to make us think America has fialed. Not so.
