FOX News Calls New Hampshire For Mitt Romney – Ron Paul Places Second – Huntsman Finishes Third

FOX News calls the race for Mitt Romney.
Mitt is the first GOP candidate to win both IA and NH since 1976.

Ron Paul placed second.
Jon Huntsman finished third.

The conservative candidates were knocked out of the top three places.

This was interesting…
A majority of voters said they would be pleased with Mitt Romney as their candidate.
Also, a majority of voters said they would not be happy with Ron Paul, Rick Santorum or Newt Gingrich as the candidate.

** FOX News is ready to coronate Romney as the GOP candidate.

UPDATE: Mitt says he’ll repeal Romneycare Obamacare when he becomes president.

Mitt gave a good speech overall. He has a handsome family.

UPDATE: John McCain says we can win this thing sooner than we thought. Ron Paul’s second place was surprising.

Sorry to hear Huntsman came in as high as he did. I was hoping this would end it for him.

  • Votemout2012

    Big whoop!

  • JenBee

Nothing but a huge field of RINO’s, how the heck did we get here? Going up against the weakest incumbent in decades, and THIS is what we’ve got to offer? Pitiful.

  • Patty

Paul is no republican and he has been getting votes from democrats and liberals.

This is awful that he comes in second.

  • Patty

And this is to be expected in a Blue State. Moderates not to many Right leaning Republicans or Conservatives in that state.

  • Patty

    Over for Huntsman in S.C.

  • vityas

This is our country on crack.

Fox News reported that of the list of four things most concerning NH voters, “strong conservative” came in last.

  • donh

Shows the influence of a Todd Palin endorsement . I wonder if Perry finishes ahead of Buddy Roemer.

  • Saturday

Because the mainstream media keeps repeating the lie that Romney is the only one that can beat Obama, scaring people into believing it. Just because people on t.v. keep saying it, it doesn’t mean it’s true. Liberal democrats want Romney to be the nominee don’t you guys get it?

  • exceller

I’m finished with Republicans if they nominate another Rino. I’ll be looking for the third party or perhaps Gary Johnson.

  • Paul in N. AL

Somehow, I don’t see the results matching this throughout the South from South Carolina through Texas.

  • JoeyC.

Are U joking that these are the top 3 ? Fellow Americans have a big “CASE OF THE DUMB-ASS”!

  • Finncrisp

On to SC – It will take money and organization to beat Barry; Romney has both. He may be half a loaf, but Barry the Marxist must go for reasons too numerous to mention.

  • retire05

Fox exit polls show that Ron Paul carried the under 35, $50K/year or less vote, single vote. Pretty much all the stone slackers.

Romney carried the over $100/k moderate/to liberal vote.

So now Fox will declare Romney the “chosen one” based on the votes of two states that doen’t even equal the population of the Houston Metro area.

Stick a fork in the Republican Party. It’s done.

Saturday … ” Liberal democrats want Romney to be the nominee don’t you guys get it?” AMEN!!!!!

  • J

Oh goody, we get to elect (at least in the primary)another democrat!

  • maraz

Most of the people voting in NH are Democrats and Independents. The voting process is faulty and doesn’t represent Republican only… thus NH does not represent conservative choices

As soon as the Jan 10, 2012 show posts at the link below… download and listen to Mark Levin’s analysis… it’s right on target as always…

At least Mitten’s can give a speech without a teleprompter. I’m thinking maybe he can make the Great Divider look silly without someone to feed him the words to say.

  • Jenny

Are people forgetting Romneycare and global warming? Flip flopping? Grew up in Daddy’s governor mansion? Out of touch with regular folks? Did he care what the tea party had to say?

  • Saturday

    @ StrangernFiction

    haha morons, indeed.

  • maraz

To repeat my message in post #20… Reagan lost NH and Iowa too… and didn’t start winning until Red primary states started to vote.

Mark Levin talks about how NH needs to fix their primary process… they allow Democrats, progressives, and Independents to muddy the voting results. Anyone can vote… it’s not limited to Republicans.

  • donh

Mosebacher’s foregone conclusion shows weakness. He underperformed the media polls in his home state by 5 points and they ALL went to Paul who overperformed by 5 points. Tea Party knows they have been sold out and that $35,000 donation Mitt made to buy Nikki Haley isn’t going to cash in votes.

  • lizzy84

A nation of 307 million people and these are our best choices…insane.

  • Sasja

retire05. I haven’t even heard the fat lady warming up, much less singing. It is not over. As I posted the other day. The process has just begun and we’ve a long way to go. Let’s not all get gloomy and doomy.

New Hampshire used to be a conservative state – “Live Free or Die” anyone?

But they’ve been overcome by New England liberal malaise.

So a moderate like Mittens and a right leaning liberal like Huntsman can win there.

Like someone said in another thread – “There’s 55 states to go!”

  • donh

44% in and Perry has 669 votes Buddy Roemer 339

  • bg

posted the following in the next post by mistake,
oh well, nothing wrong with repeats in here.. 😉

Newt wouldn’t be so far behind right now if
he had stuck to Ginging Obama & the MSM..

but hey, New Hampshire is Leahy liberal
country, proof being Paul placing second..

    Huntsman came in 3rd? WTF!

That dude gives me the creeps. Is that who the left wants to run? Guess we will see.

At this time we all should know that we haven’t had a real good candidate since Reagan!

The establishment GOP/RNC has been taken over by Leftys! They are the ones who put these damn RINO/Leftys out in front! A real conservative, like a Tom McClintock from CA is rejected over and over again! This is by design! They are not stupid and/or naive! The established GOP knows exactly what they are doing!

In my opinion, the GOP/RNC is Communist Lite!

Now besides the field of damn RINOs that has been pushed on us, there is one very very uncomfortable fact! The only straight up staunch supporter of OUR 2nd Amendment Rights to Keep and Bear Arms; is Ron Paul!

All those damn RINOs are for Gun Control and strict Gun Control! Not one of those damned RINOs would, at this date, take a stand on the 2nd Amendment! Check all the gunrights groups. The RINOs refuse to fill out any surveys so far for or against; except RPaul. A+ from GOA.

Uncomfortable because from much of what I read on “conservative” sites are very much against RPaul! And I do understand with some of the reasons.

I will be honest, I go back and forth with Ron Paul just for the very reason that I want a man who will be no threat to our gunrights! It/they are our last line of defense! For me, and I only speak for me; this is Huge!

This is just the way I see it!

  • retire05

dt, you are a moron. Rick Perry is THE ONLY ONE who truely supports the 2nd Amendment by his own actions. You know, like getting his concealed carry permit and actually packing where ever he goes.

Candidates on the field of election!

Plus their voting records consistently for American Citizens not just for personal use.

Provide evidence Rick Perry is truly #1.

As far as “moron”? Men with small minds and small chests!

  • But the fix is in for Perry.. sigh.. if only.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

John McCain says we can win this thing sooner than we thought.

    Screw John McCain.

The current sad shape of the Republican Party owes a lot to the doings of him and the likes of him. If the Republican Party manages to bungle the election in November against the most pathetic incumbent since Carter, then to the ash heap of history it should go, along with the damned RINOs that helped to destroy it.

    ‘Perry Position on Gun Control

The Second Amendment: Individual or Collective Right?
Perry is an advocate of an individual’s right to bear arms.

“… proud to welcome all the men and women who have led the fight to protect the Second Amendment for every American… As a gun owner and avid hunter, I appreciate the work the NRA does day in and day out to protect our right to bear arms… Today as we celebrate the victories of the past 25 years, I can’t help but note how the public dialogue has changed when it comes to gun control. You don’t hear as many politicians making ridiculous claims about guns causing crimes these days and the reason for that is simple. Responsible gun owners like those in this room are not a threat to society, but a deterrent to crime. You have invested a vast amount of time and energy into educating the American people and the American people in turn have sent a loud and clear message to their elected leaders: the Second Amendment is not a loophole, so stop trying to close it!

April 12, 2005, Perry speaking at the National Rifle Association’s Annual Meeting, Houston

    Legislation
Perry is against any form of gun control, and believes the emphasis should instead be placed on education of the public on the reality of gun use and legislations.

… That’s why as governor, I have been proud to sign many pieces of legislation supported by the state affiliate of the NRA. We have protected Texas shooting ranges from junk lawsuits that tried to shut them down for making too much noise. We passed a law that allowed Texans to possess a handgun in a recreational vehicle. And because the NRA has done such a tremendous job promoting safety with the Eddie Eagle Gun Safe program, I signed a law that requires visiting resource officers in public elementary schools to offer to teach the program at least once a year. We have also worked hard to strengthen our right to carry law because it is a good law that has made our people safer… In Texas, we believe that people should have the right to protect themselves whether they have called Texas home for years or are just visiting for a few days. In the past year alone, Texas has more than doubled the number of reciprocity agreements with other states that allow citizens from other states to legally carry a concealed weapon here in Texas as well as allowing Texans to carry away from home. I’m committed to ensuring we have as many concealed handgun reciprocity agreements as possible with other states. So far we have 18…”
