I was surprised at Newt’s performance, which was okay but Santorum was outstanding. Romney display a performance that reminded me of McCain. No confidence in this man at all.
Ron Paul really needs to retire.

3 debates won’t have even a marginal effect on this election when the MFM can slant the coverage any way they deem best. The news coverage post convention will be what matters. The biased savaging of whoever becomes the Republican candidate in 2012 will make the MFM treatment of McCain in 2008 look like a lovefest. The MFM has to simultaneously defend Barry’s abysmal record and demonize his opponent.

CNN demonstrated why it couldn’t hold a piss up in a brewery, although they did succeed in their mission to attack Newt.
I am shifting support to Santorum. Newt is either way too crafty or looking to be Newt the Great and on Mt. Rushmore. If Newt doesn’t understand amnesty then he just can’t learn. Even Romney was far better though Rommney would grant amnesty at the drop of a hat.
I couldn’t believe there wasn’t one question about the impact of reducing the military by 100,000 men on the economy. But CNN isn’t going to allow any attacks on Obama if they can encourage infighting.

You know what it probably is? The idiots in influential positions in the Stupid Party think that any kind of exposure is good; i.e., “there’s no such thing as bad press”. What’s happening is that the leftists that the Stupid Party allows to sponsor and moderate their debates are likely focused on making them look like clown shows, which they hope will turn off as many voters as possible, thereby helping their guy already in office.

Newt’s narrative that he is a master debater who will kick Obama’s butt in the fall is now inoperative after 2 flat performances. He raised expectations and failed. We now know the big crowd pleaser he delivered in SC which won him the primary was not factual. He tried to pick a fight with Blitzer tonight for no reason other than to get a cheap applause line and it failed also.
I think it is amusing that Newt’s fans are saying he is “right about space”. Really? How many of us Conservatives (or anyone else for that matter) were clamoring for a colony on the moon sufficient in size to apply for statehood until Newt just spewed that out the other day? Oh, that’s right, nobody was. It is a mindless pander to the Florida audience and you all should know better.
That isn’t to say that NASA doesn’t need a new mission. However, Mitt was right to point out that we have urgent matters here on earth that need attending to, not the least of which is our enormous debt problem. Spending a trillion dollars on a moon colony hardly makes sense at this point.
