Wolf Blitzer corrected Mitt Romney from something he said earlier in the debate.
Mitt Romney supporters boo.
UPDATE: Here’s another fib: Don’t think Mitt told truth about 92. He voted Tsongas in primary Bush versus Buchanan. // via @ZekeJMiller

Donald Trump on Hannity – Romney is much, much better one-on-one, and if he could make that come through in larger events, he’d do much better. He thinks its more a matter of discomfort.

#2 Valerie,
makes sense. Gets hard making empty promises to a crowd of millions when you aren’t positive what each of them wants to hear. One on one you can just flip-flop yourself till you’re hearts content, meeting every one of someones desires.

Why the hell is Wolf Blitzer at all at these debates? All liberals must be absent. This makes them win when they control the media. This means all republicans will never have a chance. I doubt now I will vote for anyone of these goons. You have to make a stand and call it like it is, and get these liibtards out of all things republicans –PERIOD

Comment on the live stream on Hot Air during the debate: “I will never understand how Newt became a more acceptable not-Romney than Santorum.”
Maybe a bunch of others will now realize the same thing after this debate.
FurryGuy commented:
The question should include acceptable to whom. Democrats and the MFM, that’s who. Santorum is given short shrift with the MFM and polls just reflect the bias.
rjjrdq commented:
So Romney was right, Newt did say it.
Molon Labe commented:
I was surprised at Newt’s performance, which was okay but Santorum was outstanding. Romney display a performance that reminded me of McCain. No confidence in this man at all.
Ron Paul really needs to retire.
Newt’s position on amnesty is Bush Lite.
Santorum by far the winner.
bigkahuna commented:
Where the hell is the GOP ???? Why dont they decide who what and where a debate will be and who will be moderator. ???
If they dont agree to debate then Let Fox broadcast them all.
StrangernFiction commented:
Santorum won this debate by taking Romney apart on Romneycare.

That doesn’t make sense. If there’s anyone who’s likely to blast away at the Democrats with both barrels, it’s Gingrich. Say what you will about Newt, but when it comes to a political brawl, he’s usually game.
Gingrich is the last guy the Democrats and the leftist media want their guy Obie to face.
Toddski commented:
All the pundits are even saying that Romney won tonight, along with his rising in the polls again……Gingrich is done,..These so called news sights need to stop pushing him……It won’t work….And nationally people agree that Romney is the one to beat Obama in the General Election…..

Great debate…. the discussion on space travel defined the candidates
Santorium…..Space travel is not competitive when it comes to the fiscal mess
Gingrinch….NASA no longer has a mission, A mission does need to be defined and it should stretch the imagination of the American public. The mission can be defined to encourage non government entities to want to commit there own capital
Romeny….Would bring together a committee of experts from Nasa, University, gov’t to plan for the future. As a venture capitalist he would fire the manager that proposed to spend money on a space program.
Paul….no money except for defense
Which one is the leader
A great manager told me 20 years ago that it was easier to shrink a non profitable business than to grow to profitability, and he did not bonus easy

FurryGuy commented:
And Newt’s a good candidate for the MFM and Dems to pimp because of the vast amount of personal baggage and political smears created previously by a very hostile GOP Elite.
3 debates won’t have even a marginal effect on this election when the MFM can slant the coverage any way they deem best. The news coverage post convention will be what matters. The biased savaging of whoever becomes the Republican candidate in 2012 will make the MFM treatment of McCain in 2008 look like a lovefest. The MFM has to simultaneously defend Barry’s abysmal record and demonize his opponent.
Dale commented:
WOW!! NEWT was FOR a national mandate on healthcare, JUST LIKE OBAMA!!! Mitt Romney, was for allowing states to choose, the constitutional way. WOW, and you fools thought Newt was a conservative, Bwahahahahahaha.
Molon Labe commented:
Newt advocated an amnesty. Romney displayed his Obama Lite Credentials. Ron Paul believes if you love the junk yard dog he’ll love you back.
CNN demonstrated why it couldn’t hold a piss up in a brewery, although they did succeed in their mission to attack Newt.
I am shifting support to Santorum. Newt is either way too crafty or looking to be Newt the Great and on Mt. Rushmore. If Newt doesn’t understand amnesty then he just can’t learn. Even Romney was far better though Rommney would grant amnesty at the drop of a hat.
I couldn’t believe there wasn’t one question about the impact of reducing the military by 100,000 men on the economy. But CNN isn’t going to allow any attacks on Obama if they can encourage infighting.
myohmy commented:
Maybe Romney should get US citizens to have a job before enacting amnesty.

That personal baggage stuff doesn’t mean anything, because it’s not like it hasn’t all been aired out before. It’s all old news. As for the establishment GOP smears, well, they can all go to hell. I’m tired of their crap, and I ain’t taking it anymore.
The biased savaging of whoever becomes the Republican candidate in 2012 will make the MFM treatment of McCain in 2008 look like a lovefest.
Well then, what would you rather see? Someone who just sits there and withers under all the pummeling, or someone who’s willing to counter with punches of his own?

When Mitt Romney faced questions on the campaign trail four years ago about investments in firms engaged in embryonic stem cell research, the presidential candidate had a ready explanation — he was unaware because his vast financial portfolio was under the control of an independent trustee. Last week, Romney’s campaign pulled out the same explanation when ABC News sought details about the candidate’s holdings in the Cayman Islands, a notorious offshore tax haven. “We remind you that Gov. Romney does not choose anything; these are BLIND TRUSTS,” a campaign official wrote in an email. But government ethics experts and election…

You know what it probably is? The idiots in influential positions in the Stupid Party think that any kind of exposure is good; i.e., “there’s no such thing as bad press”. What’s happening is that the leftists that the Stupid Party allows to sponsor and moderate their debates are likely focused on making them look like clown shows, which they hope will turn off as many voters as possible, thereby helping their guy already in office.
One would think that even Stupid Party apparatchiks would recognize the hazards of permitting members of the opposition to oversee how the product is advertised. Unfortunately, it seems that isn’t the case, because they call on the leftist media time and time again…

#28…every debate on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, and the rest of american tass lessen the republicans chance of defeating obama. have they had one on PBS yet?
Ken Royall commented:
Newt’s narrative that he is a master debater who will kick Obama’s butt in the fall is now inoperative after 2 flat performances. He raised expectations and failed. We now know the big crowd pleaser he delivered in SC which won him the primary was not factual. He tried to pick a fight with Blitzer tonight for no reason other than to get a cheap applause line and it failed also.
I think it is amusing that Newt’s fans are saying he is “right about space”. Really? How many of us Conservatives (or anyone else for that matter) were clamoring for a colony on the moon sufficient in size to apply for statehood until Newt just spewed that out the other day? Oh, that’s right, nobody was. It is a mindless pander to the Florida audience and you all should know better.
That isn’t to say that NASA doesn’t need a new mission. However, Mitt was right to point out that we have urgent matters here on earth that need attending to, not the least of which is our enormous debt problem. Spending a trillion dollars on a moon colony hardly makes sense at this point.

Admitted to lying? He didn’t need to — at least for anyone with an IQ above room temperature. How was it ever possible for him to produce “witnesses” to private conversations he had with his wife? The very idea was preposterous. That was the best a “smart guy” could come up with?
Newt Gingrich can’t be shuffled off the stage fast enough.
Who’s your next flavor of the week? LMAO
Because both Newt and Santorum have run piss poor campaigns and are not on the ballot in all 50 states that they both face a deficit of -500 delegates, making it statistically impossible for either to win the nomination.
It’s only a matter of time before you counterfeit conservatives face the reality that the only Constitutional Conservative in the republican cabal is Ron Paul.
No neoconservative can win without the Ron Paul supporters. Sorry, you might as well vote for Ron Paul, while you still have the chance?
