The anti-Semitic sham rights group Amnesty International called for the arrest of President George W. Bush for waterboarding four Islamist killers.
The Politico reported:
Amnesty International is calling for the arrest of former President George W. Bush while he is traveling overseas in Africa.
The human rights group issued a statement Thursday calling for the governments of Ethiopia, Tanzania or Zambia to take the former president into custody. According to Amnesty, the 43rd president is complicit in torture conducted by the United States during his administration and should be held pending an international investigation.
“International law requires that there be no safe haven for those responsible for torture; Ethiopia, Tanzania and Zambia must seize this opportunity to fulfill their obligations and end the impunity George W. Bush has so far enjoyed,” said Amnesty senior legal adviser Matt Pollard in a statement.
Bush is traveling overseas in Africa to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS, cervical and breast cancer across the continent. He participated today via satellite in a Worlds AIDS Day event put on by the ONE Campaign and (RED) where he was joined by President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton.
Amnesty commended the philanthropic nature of the president’s trip but said in a statement that does not excuse what they believe are breaches of international law.

Obama should be arrested for crimes against America. He can then be shipped off home to his Muslim brethren.
lsmith commented:
Take no prisoners. It’s just not worth the trouble. Matter of fact, there’s no need to put boots on the ground. Lay waste to the whole litter box. Their only purpose in life is to die while trying to kill us. Everybody’s happy and will be home by Christmas.

I don’t think he had anyone’s cut off,so what is the big deal?

Where does Matt Pollard live?

If anyone tries to “arrest” Mr Bush in a foreign country, I hope his Secret Service detail administers the Mother of all Beatings™.
Captain Chaos commented:
Pouring water on their heads is “torture”?
Islamists behead, honor-kill, mutilate, force-convert, blow-up, burn down villages, and kill Christians and Jews.
But…that’s OK I guess…
Springer commented:
Matt Pollard is threatening the President. He is free to make a criminal complaint to the USA authorities, but his attempt to get the President arrested overseas is treason.
Estragon commented:
What AI conveniently forgets to mention is that there is no international warrant for Bush, so there isn’t even that shred of a hope to hang the hat on in arresting him. It would just be an act of war.
Not that leftists like Amnesty or Obama care that much for the law when it restricts them from a course of action they desire to take.

They will get to George W. Bush over my dead body and I’m a girl.

amnesty international can kiss President George W. Bush’s ass.

Amnesty International has lost all credibility. Whenever they start squawking about some imagined outrage, I put on a music CD and crank up the sound so I can’t hear.
MrGoodWench commented:
I am not too sure about this, but isn’t waterboarding a part of US Military training ?
So what is the big deal ?
TeeDub commented:
I think first thing tomorrow morning, the House of Representatives needs to introduce legislation stripping Amnesty International of it’s tax-exempt and charity statuses here in the U.S. Furthermore, they should designate them as a terrorist organization for advocating the kidnapping of a U.S. citizen, namely former president Bush.
After all, kidnapping is prohibited by the Geneva Convention as well. If they want to split hairs on the definition of “torture”, then we should split hairs on the definition of “kidnapping”. This already makes them a felony accessory before the fact.
And while the House is at it, they should send a declaration to Switzerland stating that the arrest of President Bush would be considerated a state sponsered crime and would be treated accordingly. I bet the Swiss wouldn’t be too happy if the U.S. froze their assets, among the other nasties we could come up with.

This is hilarious……
We have an Obama administration that still practices …Indefinite detention…
……….Rendition…….. enhanced interrogation…….secret CIA prisons………Gitmo still open…………Bagram (Gitmo II) where torture has been documented…..blowing whole villages away in Afghanistan……..assassination teams blowing the heads off of unarmed terrorist…..going to war in Libya without Congressional approval…….NSA wiretapping…….and instead of waterboarding, just blowing terrorist away with drones…….
……..and who is Amnesty International whining about…….Bush pouring water over the faces of brutal murderers.
Yes sir…..no political agenda here at all.

“Torture”????? And the four islamist killers get away with murder??!! For craps sake is right – Amnesty International can go live with the muslims and their shariah law. We don’t LIKE their kind and don’t want any of their ilk in OUR Land of the Free and Home of the Brave!!! And take your muslim messiah barack hussein obama with you!!!

I have seen people on this board advocating torture of the OWS people. What if it was the other way around and they waterboarded Tea Party members? Would that be ok? Fact is that we signed the Geneva convention and torture is against that tready. I have seen justification for torture by many posters saying that these people “beheaded, blah, blah, blah..” Yes that is awful and horrible. I agree, but if we sink to their level then what does that make us. Also torture has been shown over and over to be ineffective. Before someone responds, “but it helped get Osama,” no it didn’t. You can rationalize it all you like but Torture is wrong on so many levels. Too many in our country are willing to sell their souls out of fear. We must stand within our values and not sink to the level of the terrorist. As far as Bush is concerned and his possible arrest. Technically, (and i’m not advocating) he did break international war laws and broke the Geneva Convention. The world does not mind arresting other world leaders for doing these sorts of things, but its ok for our leader to do it and get away with it. No one is advocating that the terrorist’s get away with their actions, but two wrongs don’t make a right.
How many have screamed when Amnensty International tried to help American citizens abroad? How many have an issue with supporting human rights?

Did A. I. also call for the arrest of Obama for killing the American born son of al-Awlaki or for killing Gaddafi’s grandchildren? Seems to me that that killing is worse than water boarding. Funny how only republican presidents are labeled as killers.
Hobbitually conservative commented:
Because we all know that water boarding is worse than cutting of people heads while they scream.
Capitalist Infidel commented:
Are these people still saying something as timid as waterboarding is torture? Really?

……………………….
Enhanced interrogation has been shown to be extremely effective. What has happened is that the goal posts for what is considered “torture” has been moved by liberal activists groups for political reasons.
The waterboarding of KSM (along with other methods) exposed plots, provided intel, and saved lives.
This has been verified by our intelligence services along with foreign intelligence services.
Even to this day…..the Obama administration has refused to release all of the relevant documentation that backs this up.
The fact that Obama still engages in the same Bush policies that were labeled “war crimes” without any of the usual suspects in the streets yelling for his arrest shows that this is political activism.

#14….I am with you but don’t hold your breath waiting on those cowards. And at the Senate? McCain should be proud of his handwork.
#27……As far as I am concerned, they can drop Amnesty International down the deepest hole they can find. I have held this opinion for years and years.

Oh, btw, I’m with Rick Perry. Kick that no good UN terrorist bunch out of this country.
owl commented:
#27……………I do not support your version of human rights.
bigL commented:
the UN has a place to go-Geneva. Everyone can go there. And it is a crime to threaten the Pres orex Pres.
Pollard if he is a US citizen should be arrested and booked, like poster above said. there is no charge so it is a threat.
Mahdi Al-Dajjal commented:
It’s quite interesting that Amnesty International never called for the arrest of any of those guys who sawed off the head of Nick Berg… because members of a global islamic supremacy movement are exempted from having to abide by the same human rights laws that the rest of us have to. Never quite figured out why that is.
greenfairie commented:
Once a somewhat respected human rights group in the ’80s, AI has devolved into yet another radical agenda organization. It was always lefty but it got a whole lot worse over the past several years. It has no credibility whatsoever.

#27 tell your fairy tale to the families of the victoms of 9-11. I think they would feel alittle different between water boarding and beheading your prisoner!!! You dumb bast#rds they declared war on us!!!
