Obama Ambassador Blames Israel For Anti-Semitism in Muslim World

WHy is this not surprising?
Ambassador Howard Gutman told a Jewish audience recently that Israel is to blame for anti-Semitism in the Muslim world.
The Weekly Standard reported:
The U.S. ambassador to Belgium, Howard Gutman, recently told a conference hosted by the European Jewish Union that Israel is to blame for growing anti-Semitism harbored by people of Muslim faith.
“A distinction should be made between traditional anti-Semitism, which should be condemned and Muslim hatred for Jews, which stems from the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians,” Gutman reportedly said, according to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth. “He also argued that an Israeli-Palestinian peace treaty will significantly diminish Muslim anti-Semitism.”
According to the account in the Israeli paper, “The legal experts at the event were visibly stunned by Gutman’s words, and the next speaker offered a scathing rebuttal to the envoy’s remarks.”

He’s only saying what Obama has been saying his entire life. Indeed Gutman’s statements are the big lies, that there was no muslim antisemitism before Israel, when such antisemitism is rank in the Quran and sharia law. Muslims make no distinctions between Israel and jews generally in calling for murder, destruction and genocide. So Gutman is wrong that there is a distinction in muslim polemic between being anti Israel and anti semitic.
Islamofascist make no such distinctions. I also suspect that Gutman is a “truther”, given his wacked out thoughts on Israel, I’m sure there are statements where he blames republicans and/or the Bush Administration for 9/11.

When you consider the recent couple of “unfortunate” events in Iran (relative to their missile and nuclear programs) you can almost hear the State Department stamping its appeasement laden foot in anger at Israel’s perceived efforts in Iran without the their approval or permission.
There’s more going on behind the scenes…and the US diplomats are mistakenly under the impression that Israel cares two hoots for their wounded pride.

I would find that hard to believe considering his father is a Holocaust survivor. Gutman is definitely Jewish and I believe Jews should be free to honestly discuss issues like this in a non-official capacity, but when you’re speaking in your capacity as U.S. ambassador, you have to realize that your comments may be interpreted as the position of the U.S. government.

Seriously? Maybe you didn’t read Gutman’s actual words. ‘Interpreted’ is a stretch here. He said what he said. It wouldn’t be the first time a self-hating Liberal Jew despised Israel.
