Barack Obama told a group of donors last night that he’s going to need another term to “finish the job.”
Finish the job?
Hasn’t he done enough already?

It needs to be very visible on every college campus where students are asking for the facts and direction. But the Obama administration cowered to some protests of extremist environmentalists in Nebraska and thus decided to punt the decision until after the 2012 elections. It’s been estimated that the TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline would have produced 20,000 jobs across the Midwest and South as well as 118,000 spin-off jobs.
Obama is a Bad President. Despite having big majorities for the first two years of his presidency, Obama has failed to get any budget passed. Ever. His last budget didn’t even get one vote in the Senate. Not one. Obama’s Budget Committee Chairman John Spratt said in 2006 “If you can’t budget, you can’t govern.”

Hey, I heard it on NPR, the White House is busy trying to tell us that BO wants up to $1,500 in tax cuts for small businesses and individuals but the top 1% who will only pay “a little more.” This is supposed to provide SIX MILLION jobs.

This is where Herman Cain would draw his support: from people who respect accomplishment and productivity in the real world. When he first announced, I recall the derisive characterization of him as “a pizza delivery guy” as if that were a disqualification.
Some people might think that a guy who made honest money by inspiring teams of others to produce a good product in a timely fashion is more qualified than a guy who got a free ride from people who pulled strings for him, and who never accomplished anything.

They (haters of Christianity) hate him because he’s a public advocate for Christianity. He bows in prayer before games. He leads prayers with members of the opposing team after games. He’s a religious class act. And this freaks members of the left out. In fact, people began tweeting me during the Broncos game about how much Tebow irritated them. “Tim Tebow sucks cuz he brings God into football,” wrote one poster. “Just throw the damn ball & shut up.”
That basically summed up the problem. The goal of the left is to make religion private and irreligion public. That’s why we have a president who is considered urbane for leaving God out of a day specifically dedicated to God, and a famous quarterback considered controversial for openly mentioning Jesus.
If the left has its way on this, America is in serious trouble. Religion has always been the basis for our republic; as John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Rejecting religion leaves us adrift from our principles. In fact, it leaves us in Obamaland.
In one interview prior to his election, Obama was asked by a reporter whether he believed in sin. He said yes. What, the reporter asked, did sin mean to him? “Being out of alignment with my values,” he said.
Such narcissism is dangerous and troubling. And that’s why it was worth mentioning. That’s also why I root for Tim Tebow now, much more ardently than I did before. We need more Tim Tebows for our country to recover its sense of balance– and far fewer Barack Obamas.

Obama’s on record as neither for the pipeline or against it. He thinks American jobs ought to wait until after his election.

Obama and the collectivists also have their own individual dreams, but those dreams involve collectively transforming the world.
Trying to be self-supporting, helping your kids grow up healthy and be ready for the world, and pursuing “dreams” like learning about the world and loving the people you know — these are not enough. You’re not part of his collective. You’re not transforming the world in the exact way Obama thinks it should be transformed.
And that’s why it is a big problem. We cannot just live happily in two camps: we pursuing our dreams and he pursuing his. Because his dream must involve us. To the collectivist, you can’t even have your own little country of individual dream-pursuers. He wants to transform the world.
To add insult to injury, collectivists really think they are on the side of the angels when making those demands. And to add further insult, they have the audacity to think they can read our minds. Obama attributes my behavior, values, and worldview to “cynicism.” It’s not cynicism; it’s called healthy behavior. It’s doing your own thing, in the real world, with people you actually know — not some abstract, global collective, doing whatever the heck “transforming” is.
If I had to guess, I would say 30% of the population is, at core, collectivist. That is the real attractiveness of socialism, communism, Jacobinism, and other isms. A lot of people actually do want it. They yearn for it. They think it is in a higher plane of consciousness. To them, I am a cancer on the body of humanity — a cell that won’t join the body, the higher level. My dreams are not worthy. Their dreams are next to godliness.
The real problem is that these are core beliefs. It’s not about vested interests. It’s not about incompetence, stupidity, or character flaws. It’s not about cronyism. They actually do believe in collectively transforming the world, at the expense of everyone’s “private individual dreams.” And that scares the stuffing out of me.

Events of recent days have called even the “average” rating into question. Consider the “debt crisis,” so-called. It was actually no such thing. In Obama’s own words, it was an “unnecessary crisis” — that is to say, not a crisis at all. He should know, having triggered and shepherded it every step of the way. What kind of mentality deliberately arranges a brawl over government finances in the midst of a sensitive and fragile recovery? Obama was obviously out to steal an issue from the GOP and wreck their 2012 campaign plans. But at what cost? Wrecking the national economy?
