guest post by Mike LaRoche
During an interview with Uma Pemmaraju of Fox News, conservative columnist Ann Coulter claimed that the Tea Party has not lined up behind Mitt Romney because they’d prefer someone “who is going to go around bombastically demanding to see Obama’s birth certificate or calling him a Kenyan.” From Fox News via Mediaite:
Lately, Coulter seems to have become quite fond of using the term “bombastic”. A case of projection, perhaps?

She is no conservative and she can lie about it but she is NOT.
Strange and spooky woman.

Ann Coulter is the least conservative “Conservative” I have ever come across. I wonder how much she collected for her endorsement . . . .
Patty commented:
She can keep her opinions on the Tea party to herself. She hasn’t a clue what the Tea party is about. She is book pusher, peddler of herself. She was so arrogant on Hannity a few months ago and that was when she lost my attention fast.
The Watcher commented:
I used to read her column every week; not anymore. She’s beginning to remind me of a fresh-caught fish in the bottom of the boat.
Patty commented:
This is one real example that our first opinion need to be put on hold until the real person behind the mask comes out.
That said, once I heard about Obama from Hannity and other Conservatives I knew then and there he was so wrong for America.
I am sick of Fox in the bag for Romney and I was shocked Nikki Haley was endorsing Romney.
Waiting for Palin to weigh in as she liked Haley. Hummm! I know Beck likes Bachman.
But no matter what the voters in an Honest Election System should be in the Nation the ones who have the say. I don’t put much confidence in any pundits or journalist anymore. They are not going to make up my mind. They didn’t in 08 and McCain was not my choice but he was the only choice. Sick of the media picking our candidates.

She wanted Christie and who did her favorite guy endorse Romney. So, whether he beats Obama or not. Just make up your mind and don’t be influenced by others. To many were influence by Obama’s intelligence factor, (I never believe that one, either) but research these people and listen to them and trust as much as they said with a grain of salt. There are facts out there for Americans to read, yet many Americans don’t even know who the VP is or the Secretary of State.
What worries me isn’t the independents as much as the uniformed and unintelligent voter.
They are the ones who Obama brainwashed.
Good looks, Charm and a relatively good orator is one thing. Seems that if that is all voters are looking for in a president than I suppose Romney has it hands down.

Patty commented:
Who else is there to endorse at this point. And who is really thrilled with our candidates. Seems the great ones are holding off until 2016, that is my opinion.
You hear from many that anyone could beat Obama but that is not true.
Much will change and if the Obama Administration starts tweaking job numbers and economy numbers, he will be a second term president. And just like that, yes, Coulter is right about one thing, we lose, we are screwed.
Dittogirl commented:
For a supposedly “constitutional” lawyer, she has really blown it for not only her career, but for her ever to have value in her opinion every again. Of all the people that used to speak for Conservatives, she KNOWS that he is not eligible. She KNOWS!

SO many other things disqualify this man, and it all boils down to the fact that we are (per Ann Barnhardt) W.R.O.L. now in this nation. Without Rule Of Law. Which is why Jon Corzine is testifying before Congress and not being waterboarded by the FBI. (Imagine the James Gang, having been busted, being free and testifying before congress… times about 100 million dollars.) Which is why we have an illegal presidency. Which is why ACORN still exists. Which is why a billion other things are being done by the elites in this nation (with STOLEN money) that are easily arguably completely illegal.

I think Ann is right about the left being “Demonic”. However, it seems that a Demon or Demons have found their way to Ann’s soul. How else do you explain her erratic behavior? She is betraying the very people who supported her, in favor of people who have despised and detested her.
Romney has no moorings or principles. He flip flops all over the place. In his quest for power, he sticks his finger in the air to determine what positions to take. This is who Ann is betraying her friends and supporters for? After the campaign is over she will be a liability to him. He will throw her under the bus as soon as he is done using her to his advantage.
I once thought of Ann as a conservative warrior, extremely brave and faithful to the conservative cause. Since she is no longer a reliable conservative voice, I will no longer read her books or columns, and that makes me sad.

That process is being short-circuited by those in the GOP establishment who hate Gingrich’s guts (for reasons that don’t have that much to do with policy, I’m guessing, since people like Coulter seem to be fighting Gingrich a lot harder than they ever do the Democrats) and are now trying to suggest that Romney is a conservative and Gingrich is not, or that Gingrich is a “benign totalitarianist” but that Romney is not.
It’s clear that the establishment wants their candidate (Romney) and will not tolerate competition. It’s also clear that if things are left up to the establishment, nothing will change in DC, so voting for the establishment’s candidate is a big waste of time, and we’ll have to look elsewhere if we want actual, lasting change in Washington.

One thing that is important for Conservatives to remember, is that Ann Coulter is not as smart as she thinks she is, and just because she wrote a few crappy books, doesn not make her an authority on American politics.
Never let media personalities like Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck totally influence your own independent thinking. Ann and Glenn are very good at what they do, but they are NOT always right.
Both of them have not been in the game long enough to tell the rest of Conservative Americans who is good for us, and who is not. I trust in the American people…and so should they. They are good at trying to help educate…but don’t let them drive your own thinking.

I feel like I’m watching the Democrats in 2004 when they thought nominating War Hero John F’n Kerry would be a foolproof nominee against chickenhawk/draft dodger George W. Bush. Or a repeat of 2008 when people shrugged off the election because they thought if Obama was doing a bad job, the Second Coming of Ronald Reagan would be waiting in the wings.
Hoping for an emotional payoff in a hazy debate in the future (which Obama could decline) is not going to win the election. Voters want to vote FOR something. They want a vision for how the U.S. is getting out of its death spiral. Is Newt Gingrich really going to be that guy who’s going to give it to them? If you don’t want to support Romney, why aren’t you getting behind Michele Bachmann or Rick Santorum?

To Ann Coulter and Bill O’Reilly. Neither of you are as smart as you think. You’re spewing misinformation about the Judicial System on TV. Mark Levin educated these two ignorant big mouths on his show Friday.

Ann Coulter and O’Reilly remind me of an episode of Spongebob, where Squidward explained to Plankton that people talk loud to make others think they’re smart. Gee, do Ann Coulter and the Pinhead come to mind.

What is with Coulter, these days? She sounds like she has spent too much time with her Flaming Liberal friends and is now racing for the Border – the RINO/DIM border of MAINSTREAM Media. Maybe she wants the new position opened at the head of the NYC Times.

Romney is a Liberal in every sense of the word. If Coulter supports him she has gone over to the dark side.
