Pregnant #Occupy Seattle Activist Loses Baby After Joining Violent Protests – Blames Cops (Video)

A pregnant 20 year-old woman decided to join violent protests last week and was pepper sprayed by police. Now the woman is blaming the police for her miscarriage.

A woman who gave her name as Jennifer and said she was two months pregnant is rushed to an ambulance after being hit with pepper spray at an Occupy Seattle protest on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Westlake Park. Protesters gathered in the intersection of 5th Avenue and Pine Street after marching from their camp at Seattle Central Community College in support of Occupy Wall Street. Jennifer Fox believes the cops made her miscarriage.

Jennifer Fox, 19, spoke to The Stranger at the Occupy Seattle encampment at Seattle Central Community College. Fox claimed that she was three months pregnant last Tuesday evening when she joined an Occupy Seattle march that stopped at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Pine Street.
“I was standing in the middle of the crowd when the police started moving in,” she says. “I was screaming, ‘I am pregnant, I am pregnant. Let me through. I am trying to get out.’” At that point, Fox continues, a Seattle police officer lifted his foot and it hit her in the stomach, and another officer pushed his bicycle into the crowd, again hitting Fox in the stomach. “Right before I turned, both cops lifted their pepper spray and sprayed me. My eyes puffed up and my eyes swelled shut,” she says.
Fox asked for medical attention—the now-famous photo by Josh Trujillo of her being carried to the ambulance is here (click to the second photo)—and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, she says, where doctors performed an ultrasound and said that they “didn’t see anything wrong with the baby at the time.” Fox says she had also seen a physician at Harborview for prenatal care about five week before.
“Everything was going okay until yesterday, when I started getting sick, cramps started, and I felt like I was going to pass out,” Fox says.
Hmm. Granted, Jennifer is a leftist so she has no personal responsibility… But, maybe, just maybe, if she cared about her baby she wouldn’t have charged the police or joined in the violent protests to begin with.
But it really doesn’t matter. The liberal media will make her a national “victim-hero” by tomorrow morning regardless.

It seems to me if you object to being pepper sprayed, perhaps you should stay away from protests. All if fair game out there; SHE put her baby at risk, and SHE is solely responsible for losing the child.

I’m sad for her. She’s young and got swept up by stupidity and she – if she is normal which is a big if – will regret it for the rest of her life.
But, it also should be said that this may have happened regardless of her attendance at the OWS, and it’s a sad coincidence.
Another possibility – she lied about the whole thing to make the news. I mean, at 20 weeks pregnant I barely had the energy to make dinner let alone stand on me feet for hours.

It is unfortunate that this woman lost her baby. I think we need to know more about the incident – her actions, that of the police, and the other protesters. She claims to have been kicked in the stomach by the police, among other things. I would also like to know more about her lifestyle choices (any possible drug use, etc.) – as she clearly made a poor choice in this instance, by being there at all.
She makes it sound like she magically found herself in the middle of a crowd of protesters that then became involved in a conflict with the police. I’m not buying her self-portrayal of innocence here. Interesting too, how selective her blame is. If the police were responsible for her miscarriage, then it can be argued the protesters were even more so, and yet she apparently absolves them completely.

Maybe you should throw a little blame Nasty Piglosi way, after all she has encouraged these fools to participate in civil disobedience. Anyway hasn’t WTF say we all are supposed to share the blood or something like that.
