The Occupy Portland goons were going to hold a protest at a Wells Fargo bank. But, before they started the protest he had to remind his minions not to pi$$ on the bank.

You people are pretty ignorant to the social and economic issues that millions of people across the world are moving to change. This is not about communism, drugs, crime, or any of the drivel you are focusing on through mainstream media channels. Please educate yourselves before trampling and degrading those who are willing to own their responsibilities to uphold their own, and your, rights. We love you even if you find it convenient to sit behind a screen and bash your neighbors, teachers, bus drivers, and every earnest hard working member of your community who are tired of breaking their backs only to have their homes foreclosed on, being laid off because banks have broken our economy, watching their children becoming enslaved to student loan debt with no way to repay because there are not enough jobs out there. I understand there are ways to survive, but we are fighting to bring back balance to the wealth dispersion, to end the corruption of the banks who were awarded billions in bail outs, giving officers million dollar golden parachutes instead of being held accountable. I have no animosity toward your opinions, I am simply stating my own.

k1108 …perhaps those kids who have degrees in gender studies or medieval history are having trouble getting jobs. However, my daughter is now a PharmD, and has people beating down her door to get her to work for them. Maybe those with junk degrees should be occupying their universities, demanding their money back because the students, apparently, were not sophisticated enough to understand that those degrees weren’t marketable even before the meltdown in ’08. Surely, the universities had a responsibility to make sure that the students had marketable skills before handing them their sheepskins? Had these students had degrees in some form of business or math and/or science, they would most likely be gainfully employed, with a bright future right now.
As to the rest of your screed, you are a tool of the left…unions, the World Workers Party, Open Society, etc. Maybe you are sincere, but maybe you are trolling on this blog…I don’t know. However politely you word your post, you are asking us to accept socialism/Marxism as the answer to our problems. That is an anathema to a free society.
I will agree with you on one thing…the bailouts, the corruption in big business, and the corruption in Washington, DC must be eradicated. That is what the TEA Party has been calling for, and what they stand for.
One last thing…Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. That’s where it all started. There was corruption in those two GSEs that was supported by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and a whole host of our supposed “leaders” on the left who felt that everybody was owed a $600K home, whether they could pay the money back, or not. Those two entities have not been reformed, and business as usual continues today.

you have said that i was ignorant about the occupy movement and that i was getting my info from the media.
I may be ignorant but not for lack of trying to understand the movement. I have gone down to the parks and watched some news coverage of the movement this is what I have observed :
1 they are not any form of environmentalist = i have seen with my own eyes the damage they did to the parks before they were booted out.
2 they are not for the working class or the poor = i have heard with my own ears members brag about how funny it was the amount of taxes it was going to cost us to cover the overtime for the police.
3 it’s not the corporations that have suffered for there insensitive attacks on the banks and credit unions = who really suffers when someone can’t get into the bank to get money for there rent not the rich bankers but the middle class
4 in Portland where I am who is supporting them = when they were destroying the parks the unions and the snitzers ( the 1 % they claim to be against) were supplying them.
5 they are not democratic = i have been there when an opinion was given and saw what they did to the person because the person didn’t agree with them.
personal note: if the occupiers were Christian i would have to call them all hypocrites .
they may be communist but as far as them taking responsibility for there actions I just don’t see where they have done that.

I was there. We are willing to own our responsibility by preventing those who do have jobs to get to work or their children to school. You just don’t recognize our intelligence regarding poor career choices, borrowing beyond our means, and obtaining useless credentials that don’t reflect the reality of today’s job market. Regardless of these voluntary life choices, we feel entitled to a living wage, and all the benefits of those who were actually responsible. You may have your opinion, but I find mine superior because…well just because!

I’ve read you words, several times. They’re all there — one word, right after the other; but collectively, they make no sense. No one can “recognize anyone’s intelligence”; unless, of course, it is through their words: so far, you are not doing so well.
You can’t “own the responsibility” of preventing people from pursuing their work, or preventing their children from attending school because you (nor anyone else in this Country) has that right. Rather, you are blindly violating their rights in order to express your perceived disenfranchisement.
Perhaps the “meaningless credentials” you refer to were first offered to you by college advisors (i.e., signing you up for, and meeting requirements, for a degree in philosophy, liberal arts, sociology or the behavior of worms in contaminated soil conditions). [These, of course, can later be exchanged (or tossed) for real experience in areas that were likely advised by your parents (yes, THOSE people). It’s your call, of course.]
As an aside, there are many us who have had to abandon what we first thought to be a “life’s dream” (impractical as it may have been) for the more pragmatic realities of “making a living” by doing something that may actually turn out to be interesting (cry me a river).
I suspect that what you and your other misguided friends are most upset about are the realities of what it takes to survive and thrive, independent of institutionalized subsidy: Either at the scholastic level, where your voice counts because “classes must make;” or at the present government level, where your votes count because “socialism must make.”
Either way, despite the noble goals of your OWS movement, you are being used yet again; and the villains (i.e. those quixotic windmills) you see as enemies of your world are themselves the victims of those you see as leaders.
It’s about time to shed the Matrix, don’t you think?

Not sure where you have been for the last three years, but the ailments you complain about are pretty close to the concerns voiced by the Tea Party, yet they managed to do so without defecating on cars and buildings, turning public areas into shanty towns, attacking the police, threaten children and others, and destroying public and private property. All the while being chastised by the lame stream media, and ridiculed by the Democratic Party machine. And friend, anytime unions are a conduit to guide public opinion and action, its a sure sign that Socialist are at work behind the action. It would seem you are the one who has fallen victim to the lies of the media, both print and electronic. So please follow your own advise and educate yourself what is happening around you. Go back and follow the stories posted here and other Conservative sites over the last years if you are serious about educating yourself. But then you really have not indicated you wish to see America prosper, so I suspect you are a One World Order lover.
