She looks believable to me. TV reports she also has two witnesses who signed affidavits AT THE TIME, saying that she told them at the time of the incident all about it.
More importantly, I’ve seen the conduct of innocent men, and I’ve seen the conduct of guilty but repentant men. I’ve seen transparent, I’ve seen the opposite of transparent.
I’ve seen Nixon and the whole entire Watergate crew, I saw Clarence Thomas, Anita Hill, Mrs. Clarence Thomas, and also Clarence Thomas’ staff members. I’ve seen Ted Kennedy and Joan Kennedy. I saw Mr. and Mrs. Kopechne on the occasion when Ted brought them before the cameras to testify that they did NOT want an autopsy because Mary Jo was a good Catholic daughter, and that Ted Kennedy had been very very kind to them as the parents of his staff member. That was so sad and so very painful to see them so terrified.
I saw an interview of the coroner from Chapaquiddick look into the camera and recall why he did not insist on the autopsy according to legal protocols, when Ted Kennedy’s men came and took Mary Jo’s body away from him, before he had a chance to even START an autopsy. He too, was a small, frail, elderly man, like the Kopechne’s. He had been all alone in his office when those men came for Mary Jo.
I saw Bill Clinton on many various occasions, John Edwards, Jesse Jackson, Gary Condit, and a whole string of other people on the hot seat, as well.
I believed Clarence Thomas right away, and was highly impressed by his staff members ability to recall specific things that indicated to them personally what they considered solid evidence one way or another, between Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill. As well as details that surfaced on Anita Hill much later.
I do not believe Herman Cain. I do not like the appearance of the photo of himself and his wife, when he was introducing her to an audience in the photo, where she apparently tried to hide behind him. I don’t like the fact that a large operation such as the NRA does not have credible witnesses in Herman Cain’s behalf, rushing to the microphones, the same way that staffers of Clarence Thomas did, and that staffers and family of other falsely accused men have done.
I think this will prove to be the tip of the iceberg unless he quits, as witnessed by his wife deciding to NOT come out in his behalf. I think that because of his marriage, he will quit. Whether he wants to or not – a man cannot run for such high office with his wife in the same attitude towards his political career as Joan Kennedy was in – I do NOT infer the same MEDICAL CONDITION or physical state of extreme mental distress – but merely that she is not in agreement with him at this time. I AM IN NO WAY REFERRING TO THE INCIDENTS OF JOAN’S MEDICAL CONDITION FORCING A CRISIS.

No lawyer will allow a client to make a statement off-script that is potentially legally actionable.
You never see someone make such a statement unless it is read, and the person is made to stick to the script and say NOTHING else at all – for legal protection.
It isn’t because she could not have spoken for herself.

Did they have her go to the police? Could it be that she concocted a story to explain why she couldn’t get her old job back, to play on these men’s sympathies?
And now, fourteen years later, Herman Cain is riding high in the polls, even after some other stories about NRA women being harassed surface. So, with no prodding from anyone, this Chicago native picks up the phone and calls … Gloria Allred? Why her? Why not her own attorney? And why call an attorney if you’re not looking to take legal action? You don’t need an attorney to stage a press conference. So, Gloria Allred, out of the kindness of her heart, flies clear across the country to help this poor woman out for free.
This whole thing smells orchestrated.

She has affidavits that were signed by them at the time of the incident. She may not have told them DETAILS, but she told them HIM and SOMETHING HAPPENED, AT THE TIME that it happened.
If it is an affidavit, it was notarized. If it was not notarized, Gloria would not be standing there. Gloria is a lot of things – stupid is not one of them.
Especially regarding actionable legal matters.
There would be no legal cover for any of the FOUR of them if those witness statements were not notarized BACK THEN, and NOT CURRENTLY! Ask any lawyer or paralegal or Notary Public that you know.

It should be easy to forensically determine whether the allegedly 14 year old affidavits are, in fact, as she states or whether they have been recently procured.
Why would anyone ask 2 people to sign an affidavit that she told him or her that at person made a pass at her?
Because she wanted to parlay the alleged cause of action into money.
But, even if she procured the affidavits in 1997, she likely shopped her story to a lawyer who declined to accept her case on a contingency basis because the lawyer did not think it was a winner.
This gal is a white version of Crystal Gail Mangum (the Duke lacrosse stripper/accurser) and Gloria Allred is Mike Nifong.

Herman Cain is so BADLY UNPREPARED for public office that it is shocking. He changes positions and makes all kinds of seriousistskes.
I say let the truth come out in its own time about these women and Herman Cain’s history, and let’s think about our own history: the history of the future of the United States. Cain is entertaining like Trump, but at the end of the day it’s not about buzz and showmanship or up and down popularity.
Look at the platforms of these candidates closely and look at their record seriously and academically.

Of course this is a smear campaign. No one with more than two brain cells could think otherwise.
But the problem here is that people are faced with determining Cain’s culpability in much the same way that things are decided in small claims court, not by an absolute verdict of guilty or not guilty, but based only upon the preponderance of the evidence. Absent any new tangible evidence, it is strictly a “he said / she said” case, and it comes down to who is more believable.
From what little we know, it seems as though Cain put himself in positions that allowed for these accusations to be lodged, whether true, partially true, or entirely false. And that sort of judgement is indeed a negative. Whether running for public office or just running one’s own life, there are unwritten rules of conduct and common sense to be followed.
