Adult Baby Cleared of Social Security Fraud – Wants Apology

The adult “baby” who lives off of Social Security says the federal agency has cleared him of wrongdoing and will continue sending checks. He wants an apology

The Washington Times reported:

The California man who lives part of his life as an “adult baby” and collects Social Security disability payments says the federal agency has cleared him of wrongdoing and will continue sending checks.

Stanley Thornton Jr. now wants an apology from Sen. Tom Coburn, the Oklahoma Republican who called for the benefit review because the investigation disrupted the final months of life for his roommate Sandra Dias, who playacted as his mother, spoon-feeding him and helping him into his baby clothes until her death in July.

“We recently reviewed the evidence in your Social Security disability claim and find that your disability is continuing,” the agency said in an August letter that Mr. Thornton posted on the website he maintains to document his adult baby lifestyle.

Mr. Thornton first gained prominence after he appeared on a reality television show and later after Mr. Coburn asked for the Social Security Administration to investigate him. The lawmaker questioned why he was receiving taxpayer-funded Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments, commonly called disability checks, given the woodworking skills he demonstrated in May on the National Geographic channel television show “Taboo.”

Dias died July 7, and Mr. Thornton moved out of the apartment they shared.

I am so sick and tired of people like this. Another twit like the poopstock babies. I have a disability to and if I wanted to could get money, BUT…. I work… 45 hrs a week and sometimes 50 hrs… Get up, get a job, support yourself and stop making me pay for everything you want. I make less then middle class yet I know my tax dollars go to feed and clothe freaks who CAN work.

Now to those who can’t work its a whole different story, but even the mentally challenge work… LEARN from them…

I “LOVE” reading ‘feel good’ stories like this one. It makes me realize even MORE how screwed up our government AND it’s leaders are.

And while that fat @ss and others like him are living on SSI, there are elderly people – those who worked and paid into the system their entire lives, believing they could retire on what they paid into Social Security – receiving measly $500 and $600 monthly checks, not nearly enough to get by.

Maybe the lazy baby should go to the “Goodwill” and learn a trade so he can get off his lazy need to mooch! Are maybe some one should take that lazy mooch to the Goodwill training center and show him how a disabled man/woman can make a living for themselves. I hold the disabled who refuses to except being dependant on others. In my opinion they are the back bone of our society! So people do not hesitate to donate your want not’s to the Goodwill! I do!

I didn’t like the visuals or the whole story when I first saw it. The man is morbidly obese. The mentally deranged “man” is a disturbing joke.

Sick, sick, sick joke. Many people are using the system and it is really a shame when someone who has eaten himself or herself into a morbidly condition needs emotional help.

SS checks for their overeating habit. Shaking my head, too disturbing and now I have to scroll past something I thought was over some time ago.

SSI is not “disability.” Its a program aimed at those bnot covered by social security. It costs one third of the total social secyurity budget. It is a complete fraud and waste.

I am a person who is legally blind has cerebral palsy diabetes. Arthritis and a thirty percent hearing loss. In 2009 i suffered a fifty one percent burn injury. Please explain to me why i must go down and fight and prove im still disabled to recieve my check and that tub of lard can get his check no problem.

In case you missed it, Virginia, the nice folks on this blog think you are a parasite. They favor some private contractor receiving several hundred thousand dollars a year “keeping America safe,” but oppose this crazy man receiving 600 dollars a month. He gets seven grand a year and these “Christians” whine about tax dollars.
