10 elected Arizona sheriffs held a press conference today and demanded an investigation of the Fast and Furious program.
The sheriffs called for Attorney General Eric Holder to step down or be fired.

Sheriffs Want Truth About ‘Fast and Furious': MyFoxPHOENIX.com

The Sheriffs are demanding that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder reveal the truth behind the scandal, and believe that those responsible should be criminally accountable for allowing 2,000 guns to be purchased on U.S. Soil and turned over to the Mexican drug cartels.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu led the press conference today in Phoenix.
MyFOX Phoenix reported:

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu and nine other elected sheriffs held a press conference Friday morning in Phoenix.

They demanded the truth from the federal government, and they asked for a special council to conduct a criminal investigation into what really happened during and after the failed operation, which let guns into Mexico.

They believe the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Attorney General Eric Holder bungled the operation and then tried to cover it up.

This week, Holder said he just found out about the controversial operation, but those inside the justice department said that he knew months ago.

The operation allowed guns into Mexico that the ATF hoped to track drug cartel activities.

Some 2,000 guns were sent there, but about 1,400 guns are still unaccounted for.

“In law enforcement, this is unacceptable — the fact that our own government has given weapons — some of these weapons not only semi-automatic, some transitioned to fully automatic, and 50-caliber rifles — rifles my deputies and our deputies don’t even have on the street, and they put them into the hands of the criminals that we’re fighting,” Babeu said.

The sheriffs said they want Holder to be held accountable for the lost law enforcement lives in Arizona and Mexico.

  1. Prosecute Holder and his DOJ gang of criminals.

They say Gitmo is nice–send the bas**rds there.

  2. They believe the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Attorney General Eric Holder bungled the operation and then tried to cover it up.
    ++
    Holder didn’t bungle anything.
The operation did EXACTLY what it was supposed to do .
Its those dang media people who couldn’t keep their mouths shut once they found out about it and started yappin ……

  3. Holder is fvcking scum.

  4. ANYONE, who has killed another brother will be tried and convicted of murder. Anyone no matter who they are or their status. This is the officer’s heart and commitment. Sheriffs have had it and you mess with them long enough, you will get served up what you deserve.

    LOTS OF JAIL TIME.

God Bless our Troops and God Bless those who take their job seriously. PROTECT AND SERVE.

    Go GET’EM SHERIFFS!
3 WORDS THIS ADMINISTRATION DOESN’T KNOW.

  5. Send ‘em to a maximum security prison. Put ‘em in with the general population.

  6. Sheriff Babeu and the 9 other sheriffs are patriots and advocates of the truth.

  7. The proper word is “special counsel”, not “council”. No reason to give libtards more reason to think we’re dumb.

  8. Good Gawd a .50 cal. Geez that is a freaking death machine if you know how to shoot.

Only military can stop that round and not many at that.

Holder we’re coming for you and your boss. His skinny black a$$ is on the hot seat too.

    powder is dry

  9. Accessory to murder is the correct charge for all who approved this operation. In addition to US citizens and law enforcement, how many Mexican citizens were killed with these weapons paid for by tax-payer money. If Holder gets five or more memos and reviews presentations with photos and numbers of guns involve, then he approved it in full and should be a accessory. If he doesn’t read reports and memos on something this important, he should be fired for incompetence! If he got Obama’s approval, he too should be charged.

  10. The sheriffs are being too nice.

    ‘Accountable’ ?

More like ‘accessory to capital murder of a Federal law enforcement agent’.

    That’s at minimum.

  11. Kudos to the AZ Sheriffs for taking a stand for transparency and accountability regarding Fast n’ Furious. The time for stonewalling and obfuscation is over. The Sheriffs, wisely and correctly, are seeking truth. The lives of of law enforcement officers and everyday citizens on both sides of our Border are too sacred to settle for anything less!

  12. Reporters are either morons or have “liberal” written all over their DNA.

This doofus, rather than do some investigative journalism, assumes that the purpose of F and F was to “track” weapons, when all evidence is to the contrary. He’s parroting the administrations lame alibi.

When agents did request permission to actually “track”, the weapons or trail the suspects, they were told to stand down.

This administration was not just incompetant in this instance, it was up to no good.

  13. Thank You Sheriffs!

  14. How far are we from a bag of severed heads being dropped off at border state police stations daring to enforce our laws against cartel drug trade and human trafficing ?

  15. nothing is going to happen to holder. its only a scandal if the media says its a scandal. there is no way america tass is going to play any part in taking down one of their own.

  16. The exclamation point on indicting Holder is Jack Cashill’s latest expose at World Net Daily:

Covering up is what Eric Holder does

“I’m Winston Wolf. I solve problems,” so says the professional fixer in Quentin Tarantino’s oddball classic, “Pulp Fiction.”

In the film, Wolf acknowledges the problem at hand and sets out to solve it, “Now you got a corpse in a car, minus a head, in a garage. Take me to it.”

The Obama White House, like the Clinton White House before it, has its own Winston Wolf. His name is Eric Holder, attorney general, and this month’s corpse in the car goes by the name “Fast and Furious.”

…”We may get out of this yet,” Wolf tells Vincent and Jules in “Pulp Fiction,” and they do, but at the end of the day, Fast and Furious may prove harder to deep-six than a headless corpse.

  17. Haven’t you heard Holder’s busy trying to stop Alabama’s new Law? Southern Poverty called them in apparently.

  18. ++

    that’s just the first 10..

    Holder ain’t seen nothin’ yet!!

  19. “HANG UM”, “HANG UM HIGH”!!!!!
