Barack Obama mocked Governor Rick Perry and Texas last night in a fundraiser speech for the recent fires.
He said it was climate change.
The LA Times reported:

“You’ve got a governor whose state is on fire denying climate change. It’s true.”

Because we all know global warming climate change is real!

This is the same president who refused to declare a national emergency disaster zone in the Lone Star state in April despite wildfires raging across 2 million acres that month… Even after federal employees started one of the fires.

  1. Obama has been at war with Texas and Gov. Perry since he got into office. Texas paid 400 million on border security. EPA has tried to shut own our grid & Tx Atty. Gen Abbott is suing again. EPA won’t let Texas frakk in the basin or drill in the Gulf. It’s a long list.

    Texans are pissed.

  2. He’s a stuttering sputtering lying idiot, come on 2012.

  3. Wow. Glad we didn’t get stupid people in the Executive Branch, like that Sarah Palin.

  4. Lol, my God is he serious?

Talk about post hoc fallacies. So, according to Obama, Texas is experiencing a drought (apparently the first ever in history) and THIS somehow PROVES manmade global warming? This is the f*cking moron who is leading the charge on the “science” of manmade global warming and THIS is his evidence?

It’s called “weather” jackass and it’s been happening for billions of years.

    Quadruple facepalm.

  5. I do have to give Obama something. Never before has there been a politician (no, not even Clinton), who could pronounce something as fact that is so clearly complete BS and yet, make it sound so convincing.

  6. No one and I mean no one is more despicable than Zero. This guy really brings out the worst in me. He is pure scum. To him, everything is politics. He is NOT president of the United States he is president of ACORN, SEIU, Red States, Teamsters, etc. you get the idea. He represents blocks of people. If you do not agree with him, he ignores you. Or worse, tries to destroy you like he is doing to Texas. Just because of he does not like Rick Perry. Repulsive.

  7. A satellite crashed to Earth, due to Global Warming.

Stock Market crashed, due to Global Warming.

Gas is down to $3.30 a gallon, due to Global Warming.

Vikings are now 0-3, due to Global Warming, or just a sucky Donovan McNabb.

  8. So what? We have a president who’s watching the economy crumble under the weight of his policies deny any of it is his fault and is now wanting to raise taxes.

  9. I think Barry must have listened to a little too much Art Bell in his formative years. Good grief.
Wild fires are caused by careless campers, lightning, sparks from passing trains, drought, etc. To suggest that Texas is a victim of climate change just because they have had a hot dry Summer is, in a word, stupid.

Stupidity like this is and has done significant damage to public policy. Enough!

  10. If Rick Perry would only say that “climate change” is man made, Obama would send his peeps down there in their marchin shoes to stomp out the fires. He jus gotta say uncle.

  11. Everything this POS does is a “fundraiser.” Maybe he should raise some funds to cover his deficit and give the taxpayers a break.

  12. I would be so ashamed by now if I had voted for him. But I voted for Palin – er, I mean, McCain.

  13. Didn’t Obama also ignore Nashville, Alabama and South Dakota? This is a pattern with him. It should be pointed out in campaign ads.

  14. darth vader at his best?

the dark sith must be very proud.

the death star has gone after many states, not just texas!

can’t wait for luke skywalker to show up!

  15. Obama, with all the class of a soft, fresh, steaming, stinking meadow muffin.

  16. Did Husein say that in his ghetto accent or his Hahaward accent ?

  17. Hello? I’m right here! Historically, I mean.
As in, plenty of human artifacts laying around testifying to my presece? You know, farming in Greenland, vinards in Scotland, mines in Sweden that are now covered by glaciers?
No? Fine, have it your way, then!
The earth has always been this temperature and never warmer. It’s all “proven” by your crappy, bug-ridden, FORTRAN computer models. Humans burning fossil fuels can raise the temperature (to the potential, miniscule .001 degree Celcius, level of a rounding error), nevermind one lousy fart by Mt. Pinatubo drops the temperature of the whole world by 2 degrees.

Yeah, just keep ignoring me and all history.

    (You’ll just keep repeating it….)

  18. Hey maj mike, I would take Sarah Palin over those bastards in the white house

  19. This election will be about the economy…Not about debates or pundit approval.

It will be about jobs. Click on the city view and you see California could turn purple or even red because of Obamanomics.

    http://www.topix.com/issue/election-checkpoint-sept-11

Voters won’t care what the media says. They will see that Texas created 40% of the jobs in Obamanation…And they’ll want that recovery in their states too.

  20. @#6 mikey

Yeah…Texas has the double whammy of democratic boogeymen Bush & Perry.

Texas pays taxes & contributes a lot to the national GDP. Yet Texas has to fund enforcement at the border (400 million) and wait for disaster relief (that we pay for like every other state) While EPA shuts down Gulf Drilling and Frakking & The Texas Grid (California won’t like that)

Obama has used agencies to target RED States…Particularly energy ,agriculture states & right to work states.

    Texas is a BigAss Target.

  21. I think Barry’s khaki pants are on fire.

  22. @#6 Mikey
“Just because of he does not like Rick Perry. Repulsive.”

Gov. Rick Perry is everything Obama is not….He’s the anti-obama…He’s also the anti-Mitt

Gov. Perry will never be an insider pundit asskisser and he doesn’t care. He meets with the voters and has governed well in Texas throughout his career & been a leader in the RGA.

Perry is driven by business creation & growth, energy, low taxes, budgets & border security.

Liberals and the liberal media in Texas hate him.

  23. Thank you Medieval Warm Period for speaking up. Those of us who can read history (and do as opposed to listening to Ozero for all their knowledge) know about you. They also know that global warming (er “climate change”) is another dirty commucrat scam to bilk America out of billions of dollars. Just look at Fat Al Gore’s billions now.

  24. @#23 Linda

Yeah…If Perry is elected the JIG is up on the AGW Scam…and the Obamacare Scam…And well a lot of scams.

Almost all of these federal agencies hurting the American Economy are under the control of the executive…GWB appointed a veterinarian to head the FDA…lol…And we all did fine.

Perry will shrink the EPA to 2 filing clerks saving seals in California.

  25. As Gov. of Texas and leader of the RGA Perry has been encouraging GOP governors to compete with each other to draw businesses to their states. I could see him going after European Businesses to draw them to the US….Yeah I could see that.

    China will hate that.

  26. Dear President Obama,

I want to apologize for not being at your fundraiser yesterday. You see, I was at another fundraiser to collect shovels, goggles, work gloves, and cash for the home owners of the 1,557 homes that were lost in the fire in my county.

You should have come here. Instead of looking out at a sea of wealthy donor faces, you could have looked out the window of the Beast, and saw miles of blackened tree stumps and charred and burned homes where nothing is left standing. You could have driven down Park Road One of what was once one of the most beautiful state parks in Texas. Out of 6,000 acres, only 150 acres did not burn. Now, the state used to do controlled burns in that park, removing the dead pine trees and getting rid of the underbrush, but some greenweenies out of Austin (people who support you, I am sure) sued the State of Texas to end those controlled burns and the cutting of fire lanes because it was learned that some of the 50 Houston toads in the area lived in that park. We think that after the fire, most of the toads are gone, hopefully.

The 5,000 people who are now homeless could not be there either. They are busy digging through ashes tryin to find something, anything, that is left of what was once everything they owned. But don’t think we are ungrateful. We appreciate the couple of people FEMA you sent to hand out the 1-800 number to FEMA. The line was always busy and no one could get through, so we just took care of those people ourselves. While you were bickering with Governor Perry and Lt. Governor Dewhurst over signing the FEMA release, we found places for those homeless to stay.

I really wish you had been at our fundraiser. You could have met some of those volunteer firefighters who spent a week, away from their jobs and families, helping to fight the fire. They are the ones that your FEMA department says willl not get the standard FEMA reimbursement for their expenses (like gas for their fire trucks) because they were from outside our county. But that’s OK, we understand that you have natural disasters in blue states that you have to help so those businesses that you hate so much, like Lowe’s, Home Depot, McDonald’s, Best Buy and Papa John’s have agreed to help these fire departments. We understand that a little water running down the street of a blue state is so much more important that the total devestation of a 40,000 acre fire.

We are sorry that we won’t be donating to your campaign this year. We have Texans to take care of. We are a little disappointed in how the rest of the nation, governed by you, has reacted. While we volunteered in droves to help the people of Katrina, and other national disasters, not many people from other states came to help us. Maybe they are just too busy planning fundraisers for you. I don’t know.

I do want to know one thing, Mr. President; when you had the authority to release the military at Fort Hood to come help us, with all their advanced fire fighing equipment, why did you not do it? Could you have not at least allowed the helicopters that drop water and fire suppressants on fires to have come to our aid? Well, at least the fires are out for now, and the Texas National Guard, ordered by Governor Perry, did come help. Maybe it was that whole Texans helping Texans thing.

We understand that a lot of this disaster could have been avoided if you would have only signed the FEMA pre-authorization for our county that Governor Perry requested in August. It would have made all the federal fire fighting resources available to us right away. Since you are learning on the job, maybe the next time this happens you will be more on top of it.

    Sincerely,

    Retire05

  27. Well said retire05………

  28. #26 Retire 05:

    AMEN, brother (from Houston)!!!!!

  29. As in the words of the infamous Richardo Perry, “you don’t have a heart”….oops, wrong target.

Save your time. Obama is shaking the tin cup and tossing red meat to the money sharks. He don’t care about you, me or anyone other than those who will toss in their coins in exchange for manufactured tax loopholes or stimulus money for floundering green companies.

In the end, we are all left to our own devices. I commend you on your own fund-raising effort. Hope it was successful.

  31. #26 retire05

    Thanks.

More lies out of the Obama Administration: they tried to pretend to befriend Israel. I saw the print article about this.

  32. Can we do something? Every time somebody incorrectly calls it “climate change,” can we correct them, and call it “weather”?

I’d just like to clean up one little Orwellian term. Just one.

  33. Obama needs to be removed from the presidency as soon as possible, we really need an adult in that position.

    Amazing Post. God Bless Texas.

How can a man who worked for 2 years to become President of the US hate half the people in this country? And yet we have this hostile vindictive man who laughs at people’s troubles instead of using FEMA just because Texas and other Red States voted Republican.

I want Rick Perry to be our next President precisely because he has a heart and loves his people.

  35. Retire05 well done! From one who has family in the Ft. Hood area…Viva Texas!!!!

  36. God said he was going to punish us with natural disasters, so it isn’t climate change but the consequences of putting a corrupt ineligible piece of trash leading the U.S. It is all Obama’s fault.

  37. Because there was NEVER EVER a drought or wildfire in the history of time, prior to man’s changing of the weather. Never.

Yeah right, Barry. Nature has evolved over time to require fires. As one example, certain pine trees have pine cones with seeds that can only germinate AFTER a fire. Way to use the suffering of others for your benefit, though. You’re a master at that.

  38. @ #26 Retire05

    Righteous!

Doesn’t Matter what these Bastards do…We will Rebuild…We will Overcome…We always do

    We Are Texans.

  39. While campaigning in Arlington, Texas in May, Romney donned blue jeans and left his silk necktie in the closet. He moseyed on down to Rudy’s Barbeque for a stump speech, in which he gave glowing praise of Governor Perry: (Video at link)

” I couldn’t possibly be here today without complimenting your great governor. He’s doing one heck of a job. The nation can learn a lot from a governor who says if you want to attract good jobs you gotta keep taxes down, you gotta keep bureaucracy down, you gotta get education to work for the kids – not just for the teachers union – and he is pursuing an agenda which is pro-growth, it’s pro-creating jobs in this state.

The rest of the country could learn a lot of lessons from Governor Rick Perry. He’s a great governor. I wish President Obama would have paid more attention to Governor Perry because the president has done exactly the opposite. ” – Mitt Romney May 2011 Arlington, Tx.
