Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz told reporters today that the federal raid on the popular American guitar maker will cost the company $10,000,000. Juszkiewicz also said that he will attend Obama’s big spending jobs speech tomorrow in Washington DC.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the raid on the Gibson was not political.
Of course not.

  1. Sorry for the “anger”, but Holder is a stinking serial liar and a trator.

  2. Oops, traitor, sorry again

  3. welcome to the USSA!

  4. I sincerely hope a massive law suit for ‘abuse of process’ follows this incredible abuse of process. . . .

  5. Maybe if the CEO contributes to O crook’s re-election this might all go away. If not, I hope he pulls a Wilson during the campaign speech.

  6. They are NOT union. Obama & Thugs do not play fair or nice.

    MSM made them king.

  7. I think the CEO Gibson and CEO of Boeing should give the “Republican Rebuttal” to President Obama’s Plan. I believe that giving them 10-15 minutes to speak directly to the American People would be quite effective.

  8. Sweet.

Though I would guess the news deporters will ignore Juszkiewicz and make sure the truth is deported to Antarctica.

  9. I hope he pulls a Wilson during the campaign speech.

Boehner should announce that music for the evening will be provided by the Gibson Guitar Company. Let Mr. J-wicz sign a country balad about bein’ done wrong.

  10. Obama could take that $10mill and create 1/4 of a shovel ready job. What gives???

  11. We are no longer a capitalist country.

    We are a corporatist nation.

The winners and losers are chosen by the government.

The winners in turn pay homage and ransom to that government.

  12. Just another Obama Chicago Shakedown.

  13. Attorney General Eric Holder said the raid on the Gibson was not political.
    +++++
and Nancy Pelosi makes a great Playboy centerfold
    and
    O’Hussain is a Christian

  14. Holder belongs in Gitmo

  15. NRO is reporting that ‘Juszkiewicz will be the guest of Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican. Blackburn represents numerous Gibson employees, many of whom reside in the Nashville suburbs.’

    Brilliant move, Rep. Blackburn.
Republicans need to keep the face of the truth front and center.

‘All that is necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing.’
    {It would be heartening to see the parents of fallen Border Agent Brian Terry sitting with AZ Reps. too.}

  16. So this CEO DOES NOT want to ship his jobs overseas,
and the union thug- in- chief sends his goons over to raid his company ?
I thought union goons want to take out the sumbiches that are shipping jobs overseas .

  17. While the federal raid may end up costing Wilson Guitar $10M, the cost of this regime will end up being much, much higher when the implementation costs of all the new regulations are factored in.

And that cost will be spread across many businesses throughout the US. Unless you are a member of Barry’s Crony Capitalism Cabal.

  18. Let me see if I got this right.

The Justice department says it’s wrong to import rose wood from India so they raid an American company and confiscate their wood. But the Immigration department turns a blind eye to millions of immigrants entering the country illegally from Mexico and Obama tells the Justice department they must allow them stay here.

    Hmmmmmmm?

Ooops, my bad….make that Gibson Guitar, not Wilson. *sigh* Mea Culpa

  20. #18 Perfectly said. . .

Also, how did the so called illegal wood get into the country. .I am sure it went through a US Customs port. . .so are we saying that OUR Government didn’t do it’s job. . .

Me think me smells a RAT. . .A DemocRAT!!

  21. the laws of a foreign country cannot be sovereign in the united states. this is tyranny. we have no say in what laws are enacted in other countries. we cannot legitimately be made to obey the laws of a government that we as a people have not granted sovereignty. whats next the laws of north korea, cuba, china. where the hell are elected officials.

  22. Why would WOOD be ILLEGAL?? Seriously. If we didn’t buy it for our industry SOMEONE ELSE WOULD.

  23. Beautiful!!!

The only thing better would be to plant Eric Holder’s happy ass right next to the Gibson CEO.

However, all of this is imagery is but a distant second to what is truly needed: For Eric Holder stand charged of Treason (By my numbers, on Three counts).

    Jonah Vark,
    Hmmmmmmm?
    …………………………………………………………………………………………….

Democraps haven’t figured out a way to get wood to the voting booth, yet.

  25. You know maybe its time we stop pretending and refer to WTFs Party as the Socialist Party when talking about them.

  26. Good job keeping the thuggery on a the front burner. Just more jobs lost by the biggest job killer in American history.

  27. My husband just had FOX on with Brett Baier. It’s amazing their enabling of this man Obama. A comment was made by Mary Katherine Ham that it could be a paperwork error? I asked my husband how he can sit there and watch this? They have not been truthful to the public. They tip toe around all of Obama’s criminality, with the constant excuse making for him. I guess, Fast and Furious was a paper error, now Gun Walker, selling weapons to gangs in Chicago, is a paper error. His birth certificate is a paper error too. I would like to see all of these television shows go down with Obama. I can’t stomach them. They get those stupid serious looks on their faces, like they’re so concerned, with the truth, when all they do is cover up for this degenerate criminal.

  28. Let’s just hope he has the courage to stand up and say at some point of the campaign speech, “You lie, Mr. President. You lie!”

  29. IMEACH NOW

    Huh ? Really ?
Is that what FOX has downgraded itself to now ? Well I stopped watching FOX log time ago , so…
Now FOX has become just another left wing propaganda machine . They have ACORN people working there now :

  31. Why is the wood illegal and the completed fret board made of the exact same wood legal? And under whose laws is it illegal?

If reporter who asked Holder that question made a BIG mistake. The question they should have asked is, why didn’t the DOJ raid any other guitar companies that do eht exact same thing Gibson does?

  32. If there is more than one guitar company in this country, and they are ALL using Indian rosewood in some facet of their lutherie, then this action by Holder and Co. was “selective” enforcement.

I didn’t hear anyone from the gov’t even hint that any other business would be targeted.

This is a criminal act, BY our government, which btw I have grown to despise with every fiber of my being. If there is indeed a hell, I’d like to see this administration and most of the bureaucracy in it.

And if Christians protest that idea, citing “‘Vengeance is mine’, sayeth the Lord”. Well then, I respectfully suggest that the Lord get off his ass and start doing something about it.

  33. Anyone know of a good live debate thread?

  34. HotAir, PajamasMedia, and LegalInsurrection all regularly carry debate threads.

  35. Let me be clear, these are exactly the types of jobs I am trying to kill. Wouldn’t those Gibson workers be better off at ACORN? How about MoveOn.org.? I think so.

My Limousine is belching fumes and Barney Frank is in the back. Although we suck we will have a good time. Speaking of time, I need for more years to kill all small business jobs. Four more years! Change and Hope! Bend over and grab your ankles. You are screwed! Good day.

  36. The median household income in 2010 was $52,026 meaning that for every $1 million wasted by government, it destroys the wealth earned by 20 households. So far the Gibson raid had destroyed the annual income of 200 households. Great Job Feds! Created or Saved now just means “Destroyed”.

  37. I hope no one tells the Gibson CEO not to attend, that it may cause trouble, and I hope that he does go and when Obama starts telling about all the jobs he’s created I would love to see the CEO yell out , “YOU LIE”, and “I OUGHT TO KNOW, YOU KILLED MY COMPANY BECAUSE I DARED DONATE TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY INSTEAD OF FOR YOUR ELECTION!!”

I’d love to see the daggers coming out of Obama’s eyes as he studders and stammers for the words in the sentence he was saying when he was jerked into reality where the rest of us have to live. We can’t live in fantasyland like Obama does. And he has to live in fantasyland because he doesn’t have the spine to live in reality.

  38. He was probably invited by a member of Congress. Whoever thought of this should get a medal. Fox will be the only network that puts his mug on screen and say who he is, but that will be enough. The people need to know that this country is being run by a bunch of gangsters (I wish I could think of a more damning word right now, but I can’t).

  39. If I recall correctly this raid by the DoJ was in support of a suppossed Indian law, not an extant American law. Shows to what length this administration will go to punish ‘republican’ companies. To them, the end justify the means.

  40. It’s obvious, Bambi doesn’t like rock or country music.

  41. Gibson and Martin both use the same wood, imported from the same countries. Gibson donates more to Republican candidates, Martin to Democrats. Is this hard to figure out?

  42. Wrap the torches and sharpen the pitchforks.

  43. In response to #44, the raid was NOT in support of any Indian law. In fact, an Indian deputy trade minister has already come out and said the wood and ebony are both “freely exportable” from India, meaning it IS legal for India to export them and for any country to import them. This is a clear case of abuse of power by our current neo-socialist totalitarian regime!

  44. Idea: In order to get illegal immigration stopped, we simply change their names and start calling them “Unfinished Rosewood”. I figure it will take about an hour for Homeland Security to secure the board-er :)

  45. China must want to corner the guitar industry now and has called on Obama and Holder to make it happen….or its the union people who would see this shop closed down and shipped overseas…..either way America loses…..

  46. To Mainstreet8, comment 7.
Great idea to give Gibson and Boeing the repub rebuttal time. Pity that the repubs will probably not be smart enough to do that. Nothing better symbolizes Obamas failure on jobs than the contemptable and illegal persecution of these honest employers of US workers, in favor of Obamas corrupt crony capitalist, labor, and environmentalist cronies. These 2 are the modern day version of Joe the Plumber.
