It’s the first time since 1945 that the government has reported a net job change of zero.
No new jobs in August.
The AP reported:
Employers added no net jobs in August, while unemployment rate was unchanged at 9.1 pct.
Obviously, the only reason the unemployment rate did not go in August was because thousands of American workers quit looking for a job.
More… David Wessel reported- 6 million people have been out of work for 6 months or more, 42.9% of all those unemployed.
Still More… Black unemployment at its highest level in 27 years.
