Crazy Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) pushed Barack Obama’s latest $447 jobs stimulus plan on Neil Cavuto’s show today saying, “We have no way of getting groceries to our people in space.”
Huh? What the….?

This was just nuts.

Last we checked – Obama shut down the shuttle program, Jim.

    It’s funny, when you look at the NASA history in reverse mode, you see an organisation with no space flight capabilities, which then does low orbit flights and eventually puts a man on the moon.

    Though Jim, you might want to get your facts straight. The retirement of the shuttles was decided under Bush. Obama canceled Constellation. Both utterly retarded decisions. The shuttles could have gone a few more years until Connie was ready to fly properly.

    Now NASA plays government coolie by pushing the man-made global warming hoax, but even that started already under Bush.

    The government, in comparison, can’t even get a kite in the air.

    I’m no construction worker, but I do get jobs for people in the financial sector. I got tons of B of A resumes this afternoon.

    Program in 2010 was made in 2004….by President Bush. It was
    actually extended to 2011.

    Also, space shuttles were never practical for resupplying the International
    Space Station. That job is performed by Russian Soyuz capsules.

    For the record, it was George W. Bush who cancelled the Space Shuttle when he rolled out the Vision for Space Exploration in 2004.

    Also, Constellation wasn’t going to “fly properly” until 2035, so it was quite proper to cancel it.
