Crowd Cheers Bush at Ground Zero… Silence For Obama (Video)

During the ceremonies today at Ground Zero on the 10 year anniversary of the attacks, the crowd was noticeably silent when Obama walked to the microphone. But the reaction was entirely different for Bush.
FYI: This video was taken from the ABC broadcast. They had trouble with their sound this morning. It was even more obvious on FOX News Channel.

Please, be fair. Obammbamm was reading a Psalm … which some people consider a form of prayer … immediately after that minute of silence at 8:46 … listen to that video and that silence of the crowd. Applause would have been horribly inappropriate no matter who read the Psalm.
Of course Pres. Bush is the better man. No one with a brain can dispute that. But your conclusion about the applause is just silly in this particular instance.

Waterfall sound – I saw on TV yesterday, there is a huge water feature in Ground Zero, now, and seems to be the New Setting for the Freedom Stone – huge square or rectangle fountain which has water pouring down the sides of precision-squared smooth cement. and in the middle is a raised rectangle which I assume is the recently reset “Freedom Stone” of Adirondack Granite from the New York mountains.

Giant Waterfall Being Tested Today at Ground Zero

In inspirational news, engineers at Ground Zero were testing waterfalls today that will eventually be a part of the 9/11 memorial that will occupy roughly half of the space at the 16-acre site. The waterfalls will flow into the reflecting pools that are a central part of the memorial, which will represent the space where the two towers once stood. According to USA Today’s Doug Stanglin, “8 pumps drive 52,000 gallons of water a minute over the 30-foot black granite walls as part of the largest manmade waterfalls in North America”. As the construction crews work towards the 10th anniversary opening date for the 9/11 Memorial, this is certainly a positive and inspiring step!

I watched the ceremony this morning and I thought – when I listened to President Obama reading only a Psalm (and a very good one – I must admit – for the occasion) – I thought a mean thought that I am sure no one else would say, especially in the media…..is the reason Mayor Bloomberg blocked any religious folks from speaking (as in reading a psalm) to only elevate the very religious reading of a psalm from on high from His Highness – President Obama?
Let me just say the psalm and Obama did not mix well with with me.
I do not think of him and nor have I ever read ANYTHING that helps me believe he is guided by a core or center of traditional American Christian (and this includes Catholic and all denominations) beliefs.
He has shown an allegiance and loyalty to an anti-American, Jemimah Wright, rabble rousing, liberation theology, “America is the devil” theology all his life. HE has not allowed the National Prayer ceremony in the White house to continue. He has over-privileged Islam in as many ways as he can get away with.
Our most un-Christian president – no doubt. Can anyone challenge this claim?.
By the way – Mormons are Christians. Even Jews are Christians or visa versa….learn about it. Go to church and talk to a rabbi or priest or minister to find out about the “universality” of catholic Christianity. Islam is not a part of the “big tent”.
Islam marks a difference that can not be included in the umbrella – the big tent – of Christianity.
We need to know these things. And I found it more than odd to be listening to Obama reading a psalm at a major national event televised on many channels.
As if he was at all still messianic. Even the Dems know he is not that as they scramble to find a primary challenger for 2012 against him. Messianic – not so much. By now – we all know this. We all are looking at a failed presidency and we all know it.
On this we ALL agree about this inexperienced, unvetted first term Illinois state Senator who somehow “trickstered” his way into the office in 2008.
