Rick Santelli Goes Off: “We’d Be BBB Without Tea Party!” (Video)

CNBC analyst Rick Santelli went off today. Santelli reacted to President Obama’s smear campaign against the tea party after the US credit rating was downgraded.

No wonder Kerry did so well in an election… We’d be BBB without the tea party!”

Via Rebel Pundit:

From the Video: Rick Santelli reacts to President Obama’s blame game when it comes to the downgrade of the United States of America’s credit rating. Santelli says that if it wasn’t for the tea party movement, America’s credit would have been downgraded to BBB.

He also responds to the argument that we have a revenue problem by comparing it to if his wife spending 30% more money then telling him to get 2 more jobs.

Agree. .TEA Party only group acting responsibly. .the only “adults” in the room. .

Cut Cap and Balance is their plan and it makes $ense – – Dollars and sence. .

What part of Cut, Cap, and Balance does Obama not understand? (Reid, McConnell and Boehner too)

Is Obama THAT stupid?. . . . a by-product of affirmative inaction. . . or just incompetent, Inept and Inexperienced?

Enact these three things immediately and regain/restore our AAA rating:
    1) CCB,
    2) Repeal of Obamacare, along with Dodd Frank Financial reform Act and Fannie Mae plus
    3) Drill, Baby, Drill– NOW,

Or have Obama resign . . . along with Harry Reid and Pelosi (Schumer and Barney Frank too) would have the same effect of restoring our AAA rating!

stop telling the truth! television and the truth parted company forty years ago. the only people in washington that wanted to cut spending were the tea party people. certainly not the democrats and neither did the RNC republicans.

“We’d be BBB without the tea party!”

well that sure got the message across, and good for him!! :-)

    however..

Lindsay Graham did an excellent job of putting all the raging
anti-Tea Partiers in their place, including Axlerod and Dean..

[Graham: Well you can’t be fourteen trillion dollars in debt unless both parties are working together to get you there. And the tea party is a result of what’s wrong in Washington. They didn’t create all this mess. It was an energy created by people seeing the country slipping away and wanting to do something about it. The tea party’s for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, so am I. I don’t have any faith that either party is going to change things until they are made to do so, we need a balanced budget amendment. The truth of the matter is if President Obama, if he was in the Southeastern Conference, he’d be fired as a coach. He would not have his contract renewed. Everything is worse. Unemployment is up by 18 percent. Gas prices are up by 93 percent. Everything, housing prices are down by 12 percent, he’s had a chance, we’re three years into this and he’s failing. It’s not the tea Party’s fault, what was hope and Change is despair and confusion. People are not creating jobs in this country because they think Howard Dean is going to raise their taxes. If you want to create job, don’t raise anybody’s taxes. Try to lower spending like the tea party and other people up here want. So the tea party is not the problem, Washington was broken before they got here. I hope they can help us fix it.]

“He also responds to the argument that we have a revenue problem by comparing it to if his wife spending 30% more money then telling him to get 2 more jobs.”

Why people can’t see and understand this simple argument just astounds me! When Barry says it he means tax more of the people who are already paying taxes. Now, I really wouldn’t mind paying a percentage more in taxes if the money was actually going to pay down the debt. But we both know that won’t happen. Instead of paying off the credit card with that money he’d use it to go out and buy a new driver and a new bag to go with the set he already has sitting in the closet bought! Now that I think about it, he use the money to buy a set of clubs for his buddy Trumka.

How about we only increase taxes on newspapers, TV news and reporters, MSM, Hollywood and Anthletes. . .andpoliticians too. . .

The Tea Party came into existence AFTER the spending was out of control and it was high time our government started practicing some good old fashioned fiscal restraint. Now they’re being blamed for the downgrade to the credit rating that both political parties ruined. That dog won’t hunt.

Obama and the Dems arguments make no sense when put side by side.
    1) S&P was wrong. They are frauds.
    2) S&P downgraded the tea party.
    Which is it? 3) neither

[Many commonsense Americans like myself saw this day coming. In fact, in June 2010, Rick Santelli articulated the view of independent Tea Party patriots everywhere when he shouted on CNBC, “I want the government to stop spending! Stop spending! Stop spending! Stop spending! STOP SPENDING!” So, how shamelessly cynical and dishonest must one be to blame this inevitable downgrade on the very people who have been shouting all along “stop spending”? Blaming the Tea Party for our credit downgrade is akin to Nero blaming the Christians for burning Rome. Tea Party Americans weren’t the ones “fiddling” while our country’s fiscal house was going up in smoke. In fact, we commonsense fiscal conservatives were the ones grabbing for the extinguishers while politically correct politicians and their cronies buried their heads in what soon became this bonfire.]

yes, indeed a great read, thank you..

Obama isn’t the genius that the MSM tries to portray him as, but he isn’t stupid, either. He has a chip on his shoulder about America, as Rush has said frequently. He hates America, Americans, the rich, the middle class, and everyone but his chosen victim groups. Community organizers understand how to cause chaos, and that is exactly what he is doing.

It isn’t bumbling. It’s a well though-out plan to bring down America.

That’s perfect. My big caboose of a wife spends her day partying it up with Whoopie,Oprah, and Beyonce. She lavishes money on Billionaires and millionaires. She spends us into bankruptcy and has the nerve to turn around and tell me that I better get two more jobs to support her lifestyle.

Rick Santelli is some one that a lot of people could get behind….

  • Spider

I’m still a little amazed that Santelli can still speak the truth on the network he’s on.

Gives me a little hope that sanity will win out in the end.

  • Old Fan

Rick Santelli is outstanding, period. We all need more like him, especially in media circles.

The original Tea Party protests were essential (for the record – I participated in them). Really cannot say those who have taken over the image of the impressive grass roots protests have been the “only adults in the room”. I have seen some truly misguided conceptions from those who exploited the Tea Party image – making some questionable formal Organizations, adopting the ‘Tea Party’ name. Certainly many have positive intentions, and no one is perfect.

Democratic Partisan attempts to blame the “Tea Party” are as mindless as their policies.

But I do know we have to join together to end this Democratic Partisan madness, to unite strongly to win in 2012. It is this Nation’s only “hope”.

  • Tom in CA

Blaming the Tea Party is stupid to us, but it works for them. A good friend and sharp businessman just called me and ranted against the S&P.

People unfortunately listen to that drivel.

I really fear for our country.

I’d vote for Rick Santelli in a heart beat to become our next president. He has more passion for America’s well-being than all the announced-candidates have put together.

And he tells the truth — no holds barred.

Good for you Rick Santelli. Obama can stand there and blame the Tea Party, The Republicans, G. W. Bush and S&P but in the end he is the one who spent us into this mess and he is the reason our credit rating was down graded. He thinks if he raises taxes on a nation in free fall that he can then spend 7 trillion more. He doesn’t inspire the American people — he terrifies us.

A BBB rating seems appropriate for a country that elects a subprime grifter who blows out the nation’s budget with the recklessness of your average hip-hop artist or NBA athlete.

Rogers: “Bankrupt” U.S. Will Never Pay Back Its Bills

The U.S. government deserves the downgrade Standard and Poor’s slapped on its ratings, because the country has run up so many debts it will never get out of the hole, say famed commodities investor Jim Rogers. In fact, the S&P is being too nice, as Washington probably doesn’t even deserve the AA+ rating, Rogers tells CNBC.

I would say that Santelli is the father of the tea party movement. I was watching the day he went off and said we needed to have a “tea party”. Once again, he states the obvious to all of the adults while the children argue with him. Liesman is an idiot if he doesnt see we have a problem.
