Far left Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) stood by his comments today that tea party patriots want to hang blacks from trees. He made the outrageous comments during a speech last week in Florida.
Democrats can’t stand that the tea party stands between them and taxpayer dollars.
Political Ticker reported:
As members of the Congressional Black Caucus converged in Los Angeles for its final national job fair series, one of its ranking members responded to his own previous inflammatory comments in Miami about the tea party, comparing their movement to Jim Crow laws that segregated and marginalized African Americans in society.
A video surfaced Tuesday on TheBlaze.com, a website run by conservative host Glenn Beck, that shows Rep. Andre Carson, D- Indiana, who holds a leadership role in the CBC, at an August 22 event in Florida.
“Some of these folks in Congress would love to see us as second-class citizens. Some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me … hanging on a tree,” Carson said, according to the audio.
On Wednesday, Carson told CNN he stood by those remarks.
“Well, I wasn’t talking about the entire tea party. I think the tea party is absolutely right when they call for increased transparency in government, when they call for a cutback on excessive government spending. I am deeply concerned about some elements of the tea party who are extremist and who have reflected a mentality going back to the John Birch society, going back to George Wallace’s Dixiecrats,” Carson said.
Tea party officials have previously renounced characterizations that their movement is racist. Carson said he believes the vitriolic political environment has encouraged increased attacks on minority groups.

Why should we be surprised that liberal black Dems are trying to stir up hateful passions in their constituents? Don’t you see? It’s a sign of their utter desperation. They’re absolutely TERRIFIED that these constituents will look at the 20%, 30% and 40% inner-city unemployment rates — brought about courtesy of President Zero’s DISASTROUS policies — and stay home in droves on election day. I’d be tempted to do exactly the same thing if I were in their shoes.
kato commented:
The crude racist remarks by members of the Black Caucus are not hurting the tea party one bit. But they’re hurting Obama, especially because he hasn’t distanced himself from any of it.
Keep it up, Black Caucus. Keep it up, Obama. Keep it up, flash mobs. You are all opening the eyes of the slow learners in this country.

Allen West is considering leaving the CBC because of this crap.
Well, that’s what he is saying publicly. He might just be tired of having to clutch his wallet so tightly during the meetings, since so many of the members are known crooks.
Carson and the other race pimps HAVE to keep racism alive. Without it, their constituents might consider why they are sending such thieves and idiots to Congress.
Patty commented:
The representatives of late who are screaming obscenities at the Tea Party members of Congress and others are too old to be representing Americans.
Democratic party was against Civil Right reform in the day. Apparently, they are still living in the very dark ages. Carson believes that the Tea Party will take rights away. Rights? really, he should thank his lucky stars he has the right to free speech.
I am sick of the lies and innuendos deliberately for Political Purposes because he and others can’t manage their districts. Seems the work of the people is being kicked to the curb as we don’t need a dinosaur representatives. We need people who are going work in today’s world not dredge up discrimination and use it as an untruthful example of The Tea Party.

Really? I believe the real grip with the hateful black leader, and use the term loosely, is they are upset because of Obama’s failed policies and less blacks will turn out.
This is an absolute. They won’t turn out. They have been snubbed, ignore in the minds.
Americans are furious and we all, no matter what color are irritated to death with Obama.
But those of us are not asking for more handouts, we just want government to leave us alone and there is the divide between blacks like Carson and us.

Instead of whips and chains, they spread lies and spin stories to frighten blacks into staying on the plantation.
Tell me, what has Obama done for ya?How has the Obama helped the black community with his economic policies? Has he made gas, food, and electiricity cheaper?Has he made housing more affordable? Are black teens able to find jobs? Are blacks more empoloyable and better educated?Has government hindered or helped job creation?

[It’s the Ideology!
First just review some of the activities and commentary of Beltway Islamists since the transition and the Inauguration. On January 8th, the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association sent out an email announcing that they would be hosting an inaugural gala titled, “Muslim Inauguration Gala”. Guests included Congressman Keith Ellison, (D-MN), Cong. Andre Carson (D-IN), “Representatives of the Obama Administration”, Rev. Walter Fauntroy (DC-Delegate), Zaid Shakir and Hamza Yusef (of the Zaytuna Institute), Fmr. Capt. James Yee, Senegalese President Abduolaye Wade, CAIR Michigan Director, Dawud Walid, and Johari Abdul-Malik of the Muslim Alliance of North America. This list reads like a Who’s Who of leading Islamists in the United States, all of whom share the ideological framework of political Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood. One need not look far to see the types of ideas shared by these Muslims. For example, Mr. Johari Abdul-Malik spoke just last year at a July 2008 London conference of the “Radical Middle Way”. This Radical Middle Way, sadly British government supported, is an ideological outgrowth of the ideas of Sheikh Yusef Qaradawi, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Abdul-Malik stated the following about the Obama campaign and Islamist activism in a speech entitled “Can Muslims Trust Obama?”]

What is disturbing is that Tea Party supporters would get into a debate with these people, such as oh we renounced that kind of thing. Or Tea Party groups saying, those bad signs were a tiny minority, etc. The signs if they existed were plants. Stop talking about it, period. Racism in 2011 does not exist unless a person has serious mental issues. Or if they are black and buy into what’s been sold to them about whites by the Obama administration and others. The Tea Party movement will kill itself by giving these people credibility. People should remember the John Lewis spitting accusation and that the media ran with it 24/7 for weeks, damaging the country and the Tea Party–even though it was not true and there was never any proof.
D. Walters commented:
@32 Gus,
I can’t speak for Carson but I can say this about certain elements of the Tea Party. Over 40 yrs. ago (-in high school) a classmate of mine regularly espoused racism, handing out KKK & John Birch Society literature. We attended a segregated school, and the cafeteria workers were mostly black women. The day of Dr. M.L. King’s funeral this classmate who is now an active organizer in his local tea party entered the cafeteria as the ladies were watching the funeral on TV (-the wanted the day off, but the school system allowed them to watch it on TV as the worked). In a voice meant to be heard by these ladies, he said; “Let’s watch ‘em plant the nigger”. Not all Tea Party members have his mindset, but enough do that worries me.

SANDY commented:
99ers, 99ers, 99ers… Will Obama Mention the 99ers in Sept 8 Jobs Speech?
Chances are the President will use the term “long term unemployed…” No. He should use the phrase “99ers.” Why? Because this is a speech on jobs and more specifically: Unemployment. Fully half of the long term unemployed have been out of work for more than two years. The White House has been dancing around certain specific areas within the multi-layered unemployment problem. Time for that music to stop. They have tried to argue in the past the situatuation is “improving” because of the growth in private sector jobs sincee George Bush left office.
Now it’s time to get real. The President is at his best when he gives a commonsense and blunt talk to the American people directly. If the President and his handlers have problems with the first black President appearing “too black” for fear of alienating independent voters in 2012 then he should at least mention the 99ers — nothing specifically racial there. Though I think everyone is adult enough to understand that mentioning the highest long term unemployment sector (blacks, black males, black teens) is no biggie, mentioning the 99ers is an easy option. By mentioning those who have already exausted unemployment benefits he’d be putting focus on the constituents of all members black and white Democratic and Republican, rural and urban. The President should attempt to put the House Republicans on the defense on the issue as so many of their constituents are 99ers. The President should commend House Majority Leader Eric Cantor for meeting with H.R. 589 author Rep. Barbara Lee and he should push the issue into the center of whatever his legislative requests are
