Confirmed: GOP & Dem Leaders Both Asked President Wonderful to Leave Room… At White House Meeting

“We’d really get more done without you here.”

(Mattalgren)

Leadership.
Congressional leaders were forced to ask President Wonderful and his aides to leave the White House meeting so that they could get something done.
The Hill reported:

GOP aides and lawmakers, speaking on background, portrayed Boehner as the calm negotiator who repeatedly exasperated President Obama.

Boehner last month asked the networks to televise his response to Obama’s address to the nation, a request which infuriated the White House, Republican sources said.

On July 23, they claim, the White House called Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), telling her not to participate on a call with Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Pelosi informed Reid, who declined to participate, and the call was canceled, the Republican sources said. (A Pelosi spokesman could not be reached for comment.)

Later that day, the four leaders met with Obama at the White House. At one point, GOP officials said, the Democratic and Republican leaders asked Obama and his aides to leave the room to let them negotiate.

A tentative deal was subsequently struck, but Obama privately threatened to veto it, the sources said.

He’ll feel better tonight when he gets some cake and ice cream and all the Mercedes Marxist line up to kiss his butt and get “their fair share” of his new 2 trillion dollar slush fund. So how many “green factories” do you think we’ll see created for 2012 ads only to be closed down once they’ve run out of Bernanke Bucks?

OK, so Obama was asked to leave so that negotiations could progress. Good for the Congresscritters.

Now when will people who truly represent the American People ask the Professional Politicians to leave so we can get our country back?

  • Bill Mitchell

After Obama leaves the White House next year, he should write a book called:

“HOW TO APPEAR COMPLETELY CALM KNOWING ALL THE WHILE EVERYTHING YOU ARE SAYING IS COMPLETE BULLSH*T”.

    The man is a master.

But seriously now, even Clinton looked guilty as sin when he was lying. Obama looks almost angelic. I fully expect Obama to at least develop a nervous tic or something within the next few months. I don’t care how amoral you are, constantly lying eventually takes its toll.

    @ #11 – I hope so, too.

@ #12 – “Adolt.” LOL! I like that. If it wasn’t intentional, you should claim it was just the same. It describes Barky perfectly.

I don’t know which tickles me more: Barky being asked to leave the meeting or Pelousy being asked not to participate in the Senate and House Leaders’ conference call. I think of that pic of her, smiling ear to ear while carrying the gavel across the lawn on the day they signed the health scare bill and how that had to have wiped the sh!t-eating grin off of her face and it makes me smile ear to ear.

  • AuntieMadder

By the way, this tells us who was really the “terrorist” who was holding this deal hostage…and he ain’t no TEA Partier.

And your head is empty if you keep saying that line in a public forum. It implies the threat of violence if you don’t get your way. I know you don’t actually intend violence but it is the wrong rhetoric to use and plays right into the left’s hands of portraying us as terrorists. You are violating the #1 rule of debate and negotiation – never make a threat you aren’t prepared to follow through on. If you aren’t then you should not say it, if you are then you should not say it. Find a new catchphrase.

To me this was a sure sign that Cut Cap and Balance should have been the only option. Raising the Debt Limit $2.4 Trillion dollars the other day was a reckless and dangerous thing to do for a man who doesn’t take it seriously, hasn’t presented a budget, and lied about where his looting of the Treasury Bill aka Stimulus went.

Those that negotiated this deal and those that voted for it, have all done a horrible, reckless thing. I’ve come to the sad conclusion that those that voted for it are either not smart enough to be there or are evil and shouldn’t be there.

John McCain graduated last in his class at the Naval Academy. He lost five airplanes in the Navy, because he apparently couldn’t keep them where they belong, in the sky. He is the one believed to have caused the horrible incident on the USS Forrestal. His father was an Admiral, and this is why he has gotten away with everything for his entire life

His judgement has, and still is horrendous. He has the gull to read an article from the WSJ on the Senate Floor calling Americans “Hobbits.” Senator McCain, you’ve gotten away with your POW title your entire life. Did you cause the accident on the Forrestal? Were you hotdogging, Mr. Maverick?

Look what you’ve done to the country? What happened to “Generational Theft?” What happened to “Mr. No Earmarks?” The Earmarks were the only thing you’ve done right. As a mother, I’ll never forget you signing off on this debt debacle. Senator Scott Brown? I don’t think he’s particularly smart. I really don’t. I think he’s just a chump who goes along to get along. I’d love to see his grades and IQ. We know we have to get rid of Snowe and Collins. They are socialists parading around as Republicans. They both voted for Obama’s phony stimulus bill, and they both vote for this. They are irresponsible, reckless people.

    Senator McCain,
My brother flew FA-18 Hornets for twenty years in the Navy. He flew in the Gulf War. He would have never, ever pulled a stunt like this.

“Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately ‘wet-started’ his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his A-4. ‘Wet-starts’, done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft.

“134 sailors were killed on the USS Forrestal in 1967.

It is believed by many crewmen and investigators that John McCain deliberately ‘wet-started’ his A-4E to shake up the guy in the plane behind his A-4. ‘Wet-starts’ shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft.

In McCain’s case, the ‘wet-start’ apparently ‘cooked off’ and launched the Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that touched off the explosions.”

Is it true Senator? Did you cause this? Shame on you, you should have retired. You’ve damaged babies yet to be born with your latest antics. Signed, Hobbit, Mom, Taxpayer.

    Bill Mitchell,
I think we’re all intelligent enough to know the difference. With all do respect, I used to watch the Bugs Bunny try to blow up the Road Runner. Somehow I knew it wasn’t right to actually do it.

Allow people the luxury of venting, by saying things like this, OK. It’s only a figure of speech. Free speech wasn’t meant to protect “Have a nice day.” It was to protect phrases like “Powder is dry.”

I understand your frustration at the attacks, but they can go to hell. We’ll say what we want. Obama is supposedly tied to three murders. Two people from his Trinity Church, and the man who accessed his passport file. He was shot in the head while he sat in his car, in front of a church in Washington, DC. He and the left are in no position to talk about civility, or what or what not to say. I’ve had it with that. I’m not going to have the “Word police” on the left, dictating what we can or can’t say anymore. If they don’t like it, POUND SAND!!!

They were calling taxpaying Americans “TERRORISTS” the other day?

They’re darn lucky we haven’t following in the father of our country’s footsteps and really loaded our powder. Gee, they would have really thought George Washington was a terrorist. He actually carried a gun, and used it. After all, America wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for him, would it. They don’t like what we say? TOO DARN BAD.

“A tentative deal was subsequently struck, but Obama privately threatened to veto it, the sources said.”

And in the end, the final deal was one that was voted at a level that would override an Obama veto.

Obama’s real problem is that going forward, he will not be involved in negotiations.

  • Rancid

I have asked him to leave both the Presidency and America, so far no luck.

  • @AprilNovember811: Many on the Lovely Left do indeed consider George Washington and all the colonial upstarts TERRORISTS. And that perception is being taught in many public schools today. Scratch a Lovely Leftist, more often than not, and you find an America hater, all done in the name of Love, they claim. Sad but true…

  • The veto threat is proof positive that we have a petulant marxist in the White House. Maybe mommie should have told him “NO!” more often. Perhaps if she had been a better parent he would have learned how to behave in public.

  • Valerie

I had expected better from this President, even though I did not vote for him. I am grateful for the wisdom of our founders, who placed the powers of government in many different hands.

The debt ceiling had to be raised: this was a consequence of spending that had already happened, plus the lack of recovery of the economy after all that enhanced government spending sucked the resources from our private resources.

There are Democrats, including at the national level, who are dismayed by the results of the recent spending spree. They will, in all probability, remain Democrats, but they will be Democrats that recognize that the Republicans and Tea Parties have a point.

That’s a win, for one battle.

The next debate is likely to revolve around the question of whether raising taxes equates with raising the revenue stream from those taxes. President Obama’s speeches have yet to distinguish between tax rates and tax revenues.

  • Sandy

OMG this is really funny. And yet the podium was set up in advance so Obama could pop out like a demented cuckoo clock ready to take the credit for whatever deal was made.

  • Obama has already been unmasked as NOT very smart; an inferior intellect. No worries after next week Aug 8th at the Hawaii Dept of Health. At 10 AM Hawaii, lawyers and investigators, armed with a VALID court subpoena will examine the Obama birth certificate, IF it really exists. In the next few weeks, Obama (aka Soetoro) will once again be asked to leave the room — except he will be in handcuffs under the jurisdiction of US Marshalls.

HIS BC is a forgery; his SS # is stolen; he has violated the US constitution many times. Obama is a common street thug, who has been propped up by SOROS and others. After Aug 8th, the party is over. Can’t seem to find this FACT of this VISIT in the MSM. ps — look for the distraction of the 2 American hostages in IRAN being released to steal the media spotlight away from the Hawaii event. 311 million people in USA; 309 million dumber than dirt — useful idiots for a revolution. Watch Hawaii carefully on Aug. 8th.

Someone please explain to me why Obama is even included with negotiations in regard to a Congressional Bill.

The Constitution clearly states that The Legislative Branch makes the laws. The Executive Branch has no business in this process.

Like Boehner said “As I read the Constitution, the Congress writes the laws and you get to decide what you want to sign.

    http://beforeitsnews.com/story/859/014/Boehner_Reminds_Obama:_Congress_Writes_Laws,_You_Decide_What_To_Sign.html

  • ExExZonie

This confirms exactly what Ulsterman said last week that a deal was done without Obama because he (that is, Valerie Jarrett) was gumming up the works.

  • Mahdi Al-Dajjal

Truth be told… Actually Boehner asked Obama and his staff to leave the conference room because he simply didn’t want anybody to see him with his pants down around his ankles being bent over a conference table by Harry Reid. I mean… John Boehner does have his political future to think about, you know.

  • They didn’t really need to ask him to leave. All they had to do was start negotiating, and wait for him to storm out of the room slamming doors. The effect would be the same. Child is banished, adults run Washington.

Rep. Eric Cantor (R., Va.) tells National Review Online that President Obama’s negotiating style leaves much to be desired. “He’s overly sensitive to someone differing with him on policy grounds,” Cantor says. And he’s isn’t persuasive. “There’s never any sort of economic argument that he can make for his position. It always reverts to that social-justice end,” Cantor argues. Not that Obama uses the phrase “social justice.” “It’s ‘fairness.’” What’s more, Obama’s prickliness is “directly opposite” Cantor’s experience with Vice President Joe Biden………………

The republicans are only a little better than the dems. The truth is our Liberty lost is the fault of both parties simply because both parties have progressives. There is a sign at the end of my street that says be progressive where your seat belt. What a f**king joke. I felt like taking my seat belt off when I saw that. I wear my seatbelt and always have for safety reasons, nothing progressive about it. ANY politician or American who believes in social justice and hate crimes is unAmerican. America is equal and blind justice or that it what it is in the Constitution. Social justice my a**, once you have it someone gets screwed. Justice is about truth not special treatment. OK I have had my rant and I still feel like crap about America.

My plan for America. Oil, coal and gas, get it where ever it is in the USA. If you are of working age and able body, go to work. Go to the fair tax. Get rid of the FED and the UN. Only help foriegn countries that are on our side. Bring our troops home from places they have been in for 30 years or more. Tell the Afghans and Iraqi people since you hate us you had better step up to the plate or Muslim terrorists will take you down, because we are leaving in 2 years. Find, stop and prosecute all medicaid, medicare, social security, welfare and government fraud. We can take some of the laid off IRS agents we will have from the new fair tax and offer them a job. Police the workmanship of federal employees. Bad teacher? your gone. Performance base all federal workers. Drug test congress.

    Does any of this matter?
Every day this tyrant usurps the other branches by imposing through regulations (named such in order to give accoplice judges cover to sidestep Article 1 requirements of laws coming from Congress) what he cannot achieve through the legitimate legislative process. It is all aimed at imposing his own brand of marxism upon us.

  • Wish we the people could ask him to leave and not have to wait till 2012. That’s enough time for him to finish this country off. Times Magizine says people feel China either is or will soon be the BIG POWER instead of the USA. Thank you Clinton for signing the fair work bill and thank you to all the greedy manufacting companies for sending American jobs out of the USA Thank you Obama for taking our freedom away from us and making us support all the illegals coming into what was once our country. Just hope all of you are planning to leave the country you helped bring down to go to green pasture, “CHINA,”
