This was pathetic in so many ways…

US Vice President Joe Biden speaks to students at Sichuan University in Chengdu on August 21, 2011. Biden is in the southwest manufacturing hub after talks in Beijing during which leaders of the world’s second largest economy expressed confidence in the ability of the US to overcome its present fiscal difficulties. (Yahoo)

VP Joe Biden apologized to the Chicoms for not speaking “Chinese” during meetings this week. The democrat also bragged that he’d met every major world leader over the past 38 years.
The Telegraph reported:

And so the thing that I’m most embarrassed about in my career of 38 years of having an opportunity to literally meet every major world leader in the last 38 years. I was elected as a 30…29-year-old, young man from modest means. And I’ve had that opportunity. The thing that always embarrasses me is – and in the back of my head, I’m embarrassed in front of you – I’m embarrassed I can’t speak to you in Chinese. I would – seriously – I would rather be able to honour you and show my respect for you by speaking your language, as you honour me by speaking mine.

Mandarin is the official language in China… Not “Chinese.”

    The whole thing is so uncalled for. And I am sure there are translators who surely can translate to Mandarin. But in Biden’s case I hesitate to think what he is saying.

    Biden needs to see if Comedy Central is hiring. China was literally scolding Biden because of all the printing of money in U.S. and are horrible debt. Should have sent Perry.

    I am worried about the Vice President. A long trip across the world and a busy schedule may have worn him out and endangered his health. He needs rest. Perhaps his slip of the tongue was due to low blood sugar. Mr. Biden needs a check up. He could have untreated diabetes.
