Can the adults please have the keys back now?

After another dismal job’s report Barack Obama told the American people today that we need to spend billions more and we’ve got to start living within our means.
Come again?
President Obama’s remarks from the Rose Garden this morning:
Today’s job report confirms what most Americans already know: We still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do to give people the security and opportunity that they deserve…
…And over the past few months, the economy has experienced some tough headwinds — from natural disasters, to spikes in gas prices, to state and local budget cuts that have cost tens of thousands of cops and firefighters and teachers their jobs. The problems in Greece and in Europe, along with uncertainty over whether the debt limit here in the United States will be raised, have also made businesses hesitant to invest more aggressively…
…There are a few things that we can and should do, right now, to redouble our efforts on behalf of the American people.
Let me give you some examples. Right now, there are over a million construction workers out of work after the housing boom went bust, just as a lot of America needs rebuilding. We connect the two by investing in rebuilding our roads and our bridges and our railways and our infrastructure. And we could put back to work right now some of those construction workers that lost their jobs when the housing market went bust…
…Also to put our economy on a stronger and sounder footing for the future, we’ve got to rein in our deficits and get the government to live within its means, while still making the investments that help put people to work right now and make us more competitive in the future.
He’s so smart.

The stimulus was supposed to go toward repairing infrastructure but instead it went to state and local governments to pay their workers.

I had the unfortunate luck to be driving while his speech came on. Came close to wrecking the van on several occasions! I honestly think he’s having some kind of breakdown!
JimK commented:
Does he really think that repeating the same lies again and again will somehow break through and suddenly become true? Does he think that people still really believe those same lies?

honestly can this POS get any more stupid?????
thegoldman commented:
Then maybe he shouldn’t have given the stimulus to the unions…
If that money went out to bid on construction jobs and weapons replenishing A lot of people would be still working and we would have something in hand to show for it…
Granny commented:
I could have sworn that the trillion $ stimulus was for rebuilding our roads and bridges and infrastructure. Just how often do we have to rebuild things? And is he REALLY so stupid and unaware that he thinks two utterly opposite and irreconcilable statements (spend more trillions and live within our means) within 4 sentences of each other would go completely unnoticed by the listening public?
Meg – why didn’t you just turn the radio off?

( Hey moron, first of all, the construction workers that build homes, i.e… carpenters, plumbers, drywall hangers, & roofers, don’t build roads; secondly, even if they did, most of those jobs are now held by illegal aliens who have priced American workers out of those jobs.)
“The American people need us to do everything we can to help strengthen this economy and help make sure we are producing more jobs,” the president said. “I’m ready to roll up my sleeves.”
( Just go play golf jackass and STOP screwing things up!!)
vamoose commented:
What a bland statement by the president this morning. It was boilerplate Obama and could have been said at any point in his administration. “We didn’t get into this overnight (pause) and we’re not going to get out of it overnight.” How many times has he said that? His only idea for jobs is to put 1 million (probably union) home construction workers to work building highways and bridges. I don’t know much about construction, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen a worker hanging sheet rock on a bridge.
RedBeard commented:
There are only two possibilities.
1. Obama is a lying Quisling who wants to use the Cloward/Piven strategy to destroy the economy and implement his Marxist utopia on the ashes.
2. Obama is the most ignorant fool to ever occupy the Oval Office.
Of course, in order for #1 to be operative, there has to be a lot of #2 involved.
Chris in N.Va. commented:
Umm….letmesee here….
CARPENTERS and ELECTRICIANS and PLUMBERS and DRYWALL installers and CONCRETE workers and and FLOOR/TILE installers (just to name a few that I immediately think of) that comprise some of the unemployed housing construction workers = a pool of consummately skilled workers capable of building/rebuiling all of our nation’s roads, bridges and railways.
Uh huh. But of course. Now I see the immediate one-for-one job skill match up. Riiiiight…..
That line of Prezzidenshull mental mensa magic must be the result of inhaling too many pixie-dust-fed unicorn farts.

Headline on Fox: “Obama ready to roll up his sleeves” (to bring down the unemployment #’s)
Might someone explain to me just exactly what we have been paying this poseur to do for the last 2+ years if he is just NOW getting ready to roll up his sleeves?
Chris in N.Va. commented:
I see a couple of other folks have already posted some of the thoughts I was in the process of writing down.
If ol’ Obammie is ready to roll up his sleeves, perhaps he and the First Wookie (in her designer boot$ and trendy painter’s pant$) can show how “shovel ready” they are to actually do some of the manual labor required for all of this “investment” in (union-labor!) infrastructure work.
Yeah, that’ll be the day!

“I ran out of gas. I… I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!”
Let’s just call him “Jake” from now on.

SIDEBAR: You see the self-righteous COEXIST Sticker on this vehicle in the photo?
They seem to be everywhere there is some snarky, person who thinks they are so above it all.
Try this:
Walk up to them and tell them they should remove their sticker. When they obviously refuse, tell them that’s what YOU require to peacefully COEXIST with them. Tell them it offends you, violates your religion, whatever, but that they should remove it.
If they still refuse, suggest to them, they must have somethings they are just not willing to roll over for and thus they just proved what a load their bumper sticker is.
If they do take it off, tell them you will be over to pick up their wife that night for a date and for them to give you a couple of hundred to show her a good time.

The greatest over-spender of all time giving us a sanctimonious lecture on how we must learn to live within our means?? Puhleeeze! I think I’m going to go puke! This guy just needs to STFU.
toongoon commented:
His previous theft that he called a stimulus went to pay everything but stimulate America, including “Fast and Furious” which so far has gotten one border patrol murdered and we don’t know how many American and Mexican citizens.
When he talks about rebuilding roads and infrastucture, he means railroads and apartment buildings in the innercity.
I know I don’t have to tell any one here not to be fooled by this LIAR IN CHIEF.
dunce commented:
His first “we” was the royal “we” as in “we are not amused”. The second “we” meant “you”. After three years of cognitive dissonance, i am beginning to understand his alien language.

Americans do not give a flying sh*t about debt ceilings, Greece, earthquakes, green death boxes or shovel ready lies. JOBS and QUIT SPENDING!

Since when does the STATE not take in taxes to care for the roads? ALL ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS require at least three years of plannng and red tape to get started actually doing the job of repairing/rebuilding.
Obama is only talking to the fools who know nothing. Sadly, it’s become a big group. THERE WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH MONEY.

Another Obama administration economic planning session might sound like:
“We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses.”

The White House should just put this statement on a tape recorder, and press play 18 more times – once per job report between now and November 2012 elections – which will be forever dubbed “Shellacking II”

Yeeaaahhh, right!
And finish carpenters are supposed to chuck their craftsmanship to work on rough carpentry. Household plumbers forfeit their paying customers to tackle sever system construction? Out of work IT techs are supposed to grab a shovel and start digging. If everyone did that, this country would still be racing for Third World status with the incompetent Puppet President at the helm.
This all coming from someone who’s never even had a lemonade stand to run!

Obama is partially correct. .there is a lot of work to do to rebuild and restore America. . especially after Obama has made things so much worse. .
Bush may have broken it but OBAMA made it worse. . .
Time for the man-child & government to step aside and let real men and women in the private sector make things right. .
2012 Can’t come soon enough. .all I can say is the worse is yet to come. . .stay tuned. . this will be a dismal Fall after the Summer.

And Chrissy Matthews is still thrilled up the leg by the magnificence of The One. I’m curious; how, exactly, did a barely functional idiot get a job with a “news” network? Only by virtue of the management being composed of more barely functional idiots.
Of course, I’m using the word “idiot” not as a pejorative, but in the clinical sense. Merely a description, not an insult, you understand.

What scares me is the number of Americans who buy into this BS. They walk among us. They comprise the Casy Anthony jury. They find reason and logic distasteful.
They love Oberman and Joy Behar.
Maybe the end times are near.
