Obama Lies Again… Blames Bush for His Historic Debt and Deficit (Video)

Obama tripled the deficit his first year with the failed Obama-Pelosi stimulus plan.
In Obama’s second year the deficit topped a trillion dollars again.
It was unprecedented.

The Obama deficit this year may reach $1.29 trillion. (The Captain’s Comments)

Barack Obama and Democrats also added over One Trillion Dollars to the Federal Budget in the last 4 years.

That’s at least a 30% increase in federal spending in just 3 years.

Despite this, the Whiner-in-Chief blamed Bush again today for the record debt and deficit.
Via FOX Nation:

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: It turns out we don’t have to do anything radical to solve this problem. Contrary to what some folks say, we’re not Greece, we’re not Portugal. It turns out that our problem is we cut taxes without paying for them over the last decade. We ended up instituting new programs, like a prescription drug program for seniors that was not paid for. We fought two wars, we didn’t pay for them. We had a bad recession that required a Recovery Act and stimulus spending and helping states, accumulated, and there’s interest on top of that. And to unwind that, what’s required is that we roll back those tax cuts on the wealthiest individuals. That we clean up our tax codes so we’re not giving out a bunch of tax breaks to companies that don’t need them and are not creating jobs. We cut programs that we don’t need and we invest in those things that are gonna help us grow. And every commission that’s been out there has said the same thing and basically taken then same approach within the margin of error. So my general view is that if the American people looked at this they’d say, “Boy, some of the decisions are tough, but they don’t require us to gut Medicare or Social Security. They don’t require us to stop helping young people to go to college. They don’t require us to stop helping families who have a disabled child. They don’t require us to violate our obligation to our veterans. And they don’t require us to stop, quote/unquote, ‘job-killing’ tax cuts. They require us to make some modest adjustments to get out house in order. And we should do it now.” With respect to Senator McConnell’s plan, like I said, I think it is a … it is constructed to say that if Washington operates as usual and can’t get anything done, let’s avert Armageddon.

For the record… Bush reduced the deficit from $412 billion to $162 billion in 4 years with tax cuts.

And, if Obama was really concerned about “instituting new programs that were not paid for” he never would have rammed through Obamacare.

me thinks most Americans (on both sides of the isle) are
damn tired of Obama (et al) “beating around the Bush”..

    WAKE UP!!

and i don’t mean “we the people” for a change,
i mean both CONGRESS & THE WHITE HOUSE..

Does Obama even know how big a 1.6 TRILLION dollar budget deficit is? If he was borrowing one third of his household budget every year, putting it on credit cards, would that matter to him? It is reprehensible that the libtard press doesn’t challenge these incredibly false statements by Obama. If he were a corporate CEO and made these kinds of false statements the democraps would want to tar, feather and frog march such as CEO. The Bush cuts paid for themselves because the deficit went down from 450 billion in 2002 to 161 billion in 2006, the last year of a republican congress. While Bush could be blamed for not vetoing the democrap Congress’ budget busting bill, he probably did that to salvage whatever consensus he could manage on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and did not want to further alienate Congress then in control by the democraps. But appeasement doesn’t work, especially with democraps who act with other people’s money like addicts act with crystal meth or crack.

“It turns out that our problem is we cut taxes without paying for them over the last decade. ”

So we should have “paid for” tax cuts by….. increasing taxes?
He’s so intellectual, I can hardly follow.

  • Chris in N.Va.

We cut taxes without PAYING for them?

Let’s do some math (anathema for Libs/Dems in the current discussions):

Suppose I have $2000/month income and $2000/month living expenses ($500 of which are not survival related, but are wholly NON-essentials). If my income (in Demspeak, “revenue”) is REDUCED by $500/month, my first instinct is not how to “pay” (Demspeak for confiscating someone else’s money) for my previous lifestyle expenses — I simply STOP SPENDING in those non-essential areas.

Ahhh, but here’s where the analogy totally breaks down — there are NO “non-essential” government expenditures in Demspeak since that’s what buys the votes that keep them in power. Ergo, every Dem-directed government expenditure IS, by definition, essential to maintain their rule/control over the populace.

So silly of me. How utterly obvious.

    Please pass the peas……

and how convienent that all of a sudden he’s telling us what the Constitution says, WTF? and explaining what a BBA is to us like we’re to stupid to understand, to that I say: F@%K YOU, u lying piece of sh%t! Odumbo has got to go!!!

  • Multitude

Barry, regarding your strange and unintelligent claim that government “cut taxes without paying for them” these Bush years, we’ve been demanding you “pay for” those “spendings in the entitlement code” all along. I’m pretty certain that’s what Boehner and others are telling you the people have demanded now.

2010 said it’s time to cut the spending. Pay down the debt by eliminating that from the entitlement code.

We knew you were slow, but damn… a Harvard degree must just be a matter of having the right references.

  • Fed Up Citizen

Typical response from a Democrap, no truth answer to an economic problem because they just do-not-know-how to provide a solution without upsetting those taking free handouts, period.

Trigger the finger to a previous POTUS to take the blame as usual, especially a Republican one. Quite frankly it’s so tiring it’s like listening to a broken record repeating the same thing, “It’s Bush’s fault, it’s Bush’s fault, It’s Bush’s fault…”

With interrogation tools like that who needs Guantanamo Bay? Driving us nuts with lies and it’s working so far.

Enough is enough. Get the job done Obozo… now!

Baghdad Bob is no place compared to Barky, in terms of dishonesty.

    Wow. He’s dishonest? Who knew?

Oh, yeah. Those of us who have heard him spew lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie… for 3 year now!

Joe Wilson knew what he was talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Others are just figuring this out.

““Boy, some of the decisions are tough, but they don’t require us to gut Medicare”

The Congressional majority wants to pay for its $1 trillion to $1.6 trillion health bills with new taxes and a $500 billion cut to Medicare.

“We ended up instituting new programs, like a prescription drug program for seniors that was not paid for.”

And what about the new programs you’re wanting to institute now that are not being paid for and that’s the whole F’ing reason you’re wanting the Debt Ceiling raised?

    Liar in Chief

  • Hedgehog

I say shut down all non-essential government agencies. Who would miss the Department of Education? Department of Energy? HHS? Department of Pigford Reparation Fraud? Grants? Subsidies? Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler? Give me about two days, a red pencil and a copy of the Federal Budget, and I could balance it, and then some. Oh, I forgot. There hasn’t been an actual budget since Comrade Obamaski began “ruling” the country. No budget, no problem. Right, Comrade?

  • Betsy Ross

    Revenues = TAXES

sheesh…we knuckle-draggers are too busy clinging to our guns and Bibles to know that, I guess.

I have heard that Barry walks around the WH, and on the golf coures, singing:
To the tune of “Duke of Earl”:
    Bush, Bush, Bush’s fault
    Bush, Bush, Bush’s fault
    Bush, Bush, Bush’s fault
    Bush, Bush, Bush’s fault
    Bush, Bush, Bush’s fault
    Bush, Bush, Bush’s fault
    …repeat ad nauseam.

It is a shame that the American people in the past have been so preoccupied with unimportant stuff like their own lives for so many years, that thay have let Washington get by with so much lying. With the this presidents propensity for stretching the truth, I sure hope a great many people are starting to take notice now. If not we are doomed nation. I’m sick and tired seeing this president make excuse after excuse and the lame stream media back him up 100%. Thank God for bloggers like you and FOX.

  • kato

    This messiah has no clothes.

Just remember the names of the papers and networks that tried (and are still trying) to pass off this third-rate hack as a leader par excellence.

  • Larkin

If only I could just slap some sense into the smart-asses that voted for this poseur, and those that continue to buy into his crap.

(“WHAT? obama lies? B-b-b-but what about GEORGE BUSH? obama is such a well-spoken colored boy. Not like that doofus GEORGE BUSH!”)

Then I would turn to the lamestream media and kick some real a$$. They should all be tarred and feathered for facilitating this charade.

Well, duhh! Parsing this statement makes my head hurt. How in the world does one pay for tax CUTS? What our inept, clueless Maoist Manchurian Candidate Puppet President means the Federal Government merely ‘cut the rate of spending’! “Not enough revenue? Shucks, those morons in fly over country will still foot the bill!”

In November 2012 – replace every ‘Professional Politician’ with people that have actually WORKED for a living. Give them the mandate to drastically SHRINK Leviathan!

Republicans call Obama Jello and you can’t make a deal with wiggly wobbly jello. What happened to that stimulus package which was supposed to cut unemployment down to 8% and cost 1 Trillion dollars? Ah and then there’s Obamacare which will cost another 3 Trillion. Bush didn’t do that Obama did it wid his own lidda hands.

  • sandy

One thing about Jello is that its just colored water. Once you get through jiggling it the trill is gone — like Obama.

I want a meat and potato President — I get so tired of feeling empty.

  • gus

So if we cut taxes we need to pay for that. But if we spend what we don’t have, we don’t have to pay for that???
The debt this mutherfu**ing idiot wants to raise. MUST BE PAID FOR. TAXING THE RICH doens’t do that. TAXING THE RICH KILLS THE ECONOMY. Who pays for THAT??

  • Emulatides

As a detached observer of most things political and all things economic, I must say that I believe President Obama is correct. Inertia doesn’t apply only to physical science but also to economics, and Bush and his Admin created a rolling momentum that naturally takes years to resist. Bush’s regrettable presidency created an irresistable force that aren’t immediately solvable.

  • Molon Labe

Once a crack head, always a crack head.

#24….I do not believe you and all you said is crap. I just hope you are not another of those shouting RINO. You need to look at that chart.

I said it all through the Bush years but our elected officials wanted all stink to only stick to Bush. Bullcrap. If a half dozen of them had stood up and called their good friends across the way, they could have stopped a lot of it. They would not have lost Congress.

This chart puts lie to Obama and the Dems. Why am I not seeing the Repubs holding it and pointing to when Pelosi showed up?

Can you believe the gall of mentioning the drug plan? Dems wanted much, much larger plan. Bush did right. Old, old, poor, poor people can NOT afford the price of drugs today. I hate when I hear this come out of the mouths of Repubs. Hate it.

excellent catch, and a perfect example of OBAMA’S TRANSPARENCY,
which is always “hidden in plain sight”, or should i say “ear shot”..

The bold fact is that excessive spending, burdensome regulations, and taxing the middle class (whom Obama calls millionaires) are of little concern to Obama. He does this very well. The objective is to turn the US into “nothing”….

Why can we not get rid of this BUFFOON before it’s too late? Isn’t the VOTER responsible for electing an idiot like this? $87,000,000.00 & counting- to 2012- railroad this pinochio dummy out of office & donate the funds back to social security that the govenment PILLAGED so long ago!! They rape, plunder & pillage anything not bolted down. When will we see a politician, ANY politician take a cut in salary or give up some of those double & triple dipping perks? REVOLT! REVOLT!
