Barack Obama spoke to reporters this morning after the dismal jobs report was released.
The far left president blamed: earthquakes, tornadoes, state budget cuts, gas prices, local budget cuts and Greece for the latest spike in the unemployment rate.
FOX Nation reported:

Via FOX Nation:

A year after the WH proclaimed “recovery summer,: and two years after a trillion dollar “stimulus” program, the President blamed a series of “headwinds” for what he described as a “rocky” “recovery.” Obama said Greece, natural disasters, high gas prices, state budget cuts and uncertainty about the debt ceiling were prohibiting the economy from creating more jobs, which critics called just more finger-pointing from the White House. “Streamlining the patent process” and new infrastructure spending were a few solutions to the jobs crisis offered by the President this morning, leaving many economists scratching their heads. Looking detached, Mr. Obama plodded back into the White House with his head down, without acknowledging any responsibility for the economy for the struggling economy and appearing to some critics extremely out of touch.

Rep. Michele Bachmann disagrees.

  1. Coward

  2. Wow. At least he didn’t blame Bush.

  3. One more time:
When you point your finger at others there are always three fingers pointing back at you.

  4. The only reason there is no recovery is that Dick Obama still has his job.

  5. I guess that is one way to try and pass the buck. I thought at least with all those czars on the payroll, some more imagination would be involved. He must truly believe we the people are stupid. Or could it be that he is “acting stupidly” in his assessment of the economy?

I guess this means (to him) that since what has happened is “beyond” our control, keeping the debt growing and the spending in high gear is still OK. Now, that would be “acting stupidly”.

  6. Imagine if Bush had blamed Katrina and Rita for 2008. The left would have gone NUTS!

Also, it’s curious to me that we apparently have never had earthquakes (wait, did we have an earthquake in the U.S.?), budget cuts or gas prices before.

  7. what did Bart Simpson say: “not me, I didn’t do it, you can’t prove a thing”!!!

  8. Seriously does those idiot @$$clown shake a magic 8 ball before he comes out to try and see what bulls**t he can try and blow up the Americans ass? Just picture this….stupid ignorant @$$clown shakes 8 ball…..what appears? “Talk about all your cool ideas”……yeah yeah that’s the ticket….I got cool ideas……..shakes 8 ball again……”talk about how you can get people jobs with rebuilding the infrastructure”…..yeah yeah I’ll look like a ***king genius………@$$clown shakes the 8 ball once more……….”blame it on the previous administration”……winning……….

  9. It is worse than what is being told . One of my best friend, his wife is a 20 + year IRS employee and she works in the 941 form department. 941 is a Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return that I and every other business files. She normally gets laid off every year at the end of the year as companies wind down for the year and then rehired 1st quarter as business starts the year off once again – She just got laid off last month, as too many business has closed shop, and the very few 941 forms that was coming in, have the “F” on them, meaning this is the Final 941 for that company as they are going/gone out of business. Which of course means more lost jobs – Went to the Post Office yesterday and seen the Electric Company that probably had 15 or so employees (I am guessing based upon the number of trucks that used to be parked there) had closed up their business – Facts are facts, this “leadership” has totally screwed this country’s business folks, well, right out of business

  10. Coming soon:

    It’s the summer heat wave!

  11. Wait, this all sounds familiar.

  12. I find it interesting that the WH has (purposely) allowed O’s hair to go gray, such that it has.

Is that to give the appearance of a concerned elder statesman and the toll he is paying for supposedly working soooooo hard? Where’s my nine iron?

Now once he begins to court the younger vote during his reelection bid will he once again pull out the Grecian Formula for Men? Stay tuned.

  13. Well, you know, it’s always somethin’.

  14. That’s RAAACIST

  15. Obama now blames “natural disasters” for continued joblessness – when back in 2006-2008 the Dems attributed Bush’s relatively good jobs number on the fact that Katrina had “created” the “temporary” spike in employment numbers. Which one is it, fellas????

  16. Hey! Isn’t it about time for another Obama family vacation?

  17. The dog are my homework.
    “streamlining the patent process”????

    B.S.

  18. It’s so harrrrrrd being President! I once worked (briefly) for a super liberal CEO of a small company who would regularly whine on any failed benchmark, “If it were easy, it would have been done already.” Whine whine whine.

  19. COOKED BOOKS!

The non-institutionalized population was up 176,000. But, so sayeth the data, the Labor Force dropped. In fact 272,000 workers worth of drop.

“If the population is up 176K and workers is down 272K then WTF, how does the rate stay at 9.2%?” you wonder.

Simple! You go to the CES Birth/Death Model and create 131,000 jobs including 21,000 new construction jobs and 76,000 in leisure and hospitality.

Then, in Table 15 (Alternative measures of Labor Under Utilization), we see the U-6 rate popped from 15.8% in may to 16.2% in June, seasonally adjusted.

“Still, shouldn’t the rate have gone up?”

Nope: The icing on this statistical cake is revealed on Line 8, Table A where the Labor Department dropped more than 2-million Americans as not in the labor force, compared with June 2010. Most don’t have jobs, but they don’t count. Capiche? http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.a.htm
