*Gulp* Only 2 in 5 Jewish American Voters Would Vote to Re-Elect Obama

Oh Boy… Obama won’t like this one bit…

The latest poll of Jewish American voters found that only 2 in 5 voters say they would vote to re-elect Obama.
Secure America Now reported:

In a poll conducted by Democrat Pat Caddell and Republican John McLaughlin for the non-partisan organization Secure America Now http://www.secureamericanow.org/ , American Jewish voters expressed admiration for many of President Obama’s personal qualities (honesty, leadership, intelligence…) they also expressed deep concern about the state of Israel/US relations and policies being championed by the Obama Administration.

93% are concerned about Israel being threatened by Arab nations and Iran that want to destroy Israel.
81% are against Israel being forced to return to its pre-1967 borders.
81% agree with the Administration as they oppose the UN recognizing a Palestinian State
76% are concerned about Islamic terrorism committed in the US by American born Muslims
73% believe Jerusalem should remain the united capital of Israel and only 8% support that the US should force Israel to give away parts of Jerusalem.

88% believes that a prerequisite for Palestinian Statehood is their recognition of Israel as a Jewish State.
And by a a 54-21 majority they feel that the Arab Spring has made the world more dangerous for Israel.

That this divide may have political consequences can be seen in the answers to the following: Despite a job approval rating of 63% for President Obama, only two in five Jewish voters (43% ) say they would vote to re-elect President Obama. The plurality (48%) would consider someone else and 9% are undecided.

Related… Former NYC Mayor Ed Koch yesterday urged voters in Queens & Brooklyn to vote for the Republican candidate to replace Anthony Weiner in the Sept. 13 special election — as a protest against the White House’s policy on Israel.

I don’t have any sympathy for the American Jews if they vote Obama back in. I’ll give them a break for their stupidity in helping elect him but first time, but if they vote for him again they are voting to destroy their own country.

I don’t understand the jewish people. 2 out of 5 is still enough to get him reelected. Jews prefer there liberal ideology over there own survival it seems. They hate the republicans so much even though the republicans always vote to support israel.

Wait a minute. Did I read that right? “Despite a job approval rating of 63% for President Obama?” Where are they getting their 63% numbers from when Real Clear Politics shows that Obama’s approval rating is less than 48% and his disapproval rating is higher than that?

Are they padding the numbers to give the impression that everyone else supports the Marxist in Chief?

Praying for these 2 out of 5 Jews to return to the fold/come to the right path, is what should be done at this point.

Its not the amount of Jewish voters in Obama’s corner but the amount of money he will receive from this group of voters. Obama has lost most of his Jewish supporters because when Obama talks about his dislike for Israeli Jews they believe he is talking about American Jews as well. There are certain states like Pennsylvania and Florida where the Jewish vote can win or lose the state for the Dems. But in the final analysis its all about the money.

I learned a lesson last election cycle while working for a Jewish law firm, and I’m not being antisemitic.

Despite all their complaints and dissatisfaction before the election, it’s a completely different matter when they step into the voting booth. Faced with a choice of voting for any Democrat or any Republican, no matter how badly they’ve been screwed over by Obama, the Democrat is going to get the vote.

I don’t think it’s unfair, racist or even unrealistic to say the same thing about black voters.

As a long time reader of Commentary and other publications with Jewish writers, I can say that some of the very best conservative thinkers/writers are Jewish.

But in general, American Jews are screwballs, politically speaking, and never so much as when it comes to blacks. Blowhard can threaten Israel with war, put a Hezbollah sympathizer on the Supreme Court, and most Jews would still vote for him. I’m sure this poll is wrong.

In 2008 ABC exit polling estimated the 78% of American Jews voted for Obama making them second only to blacks at 90%. If Obama cannot hold the Jewish vote, he loses Florida and New York, 54 votes in the Electoral College. Big problem.

It is a mystery to me why my Jewish friends voted for Obama. They knew about William Malley, Samantha Powers, Susan Rice attitudes toward Israel. I suppose Hillary wasn’t any better and they can never vote for a republican.
