AWOL Left-Wing Antiwar Hero Plots Massive Attack on Ft. Hood – Media Silent

The AWOL soldier and left-wing antiwar activist was charged today in court for plotting a major attack on Ft. Hood.
Army soldier Naser Jason Abdo shouted the name of a military psychiatrist accused of a 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, during his first appearance in court on Friday.
It wasn’t that long ago that the AWOL soldier who was arrested yesterday for plotting the massive attack on Ft. Hood was a major left-wing hero. But, if you thought the media would point this out you would be wrong, after all, he’s not a conservative.

The 21-year-old soldier arrested today for allegedly plotting to attack Fort Hood appears to be the same “conscientious objector” who was viewed as a peacemaker by anti-war activists last year, after he refused to serve in Afghanistan or Iraq because he claimed it violated his Muslim faith.
When Pfc. Naser Abdo applied for CO status last year, the utterly discredited Iraq Veterans Against the War organization posted a message in support of him on its website, and asked readers to donate to his legal defense fund. And Kimber Heinz, a writer for the far-left website Truthout, unluckily chose to profile Abdo in a 2010 article entitled, “One Year After Fort Hood: The Missing Story of Muslim Peacemaking.”
“We must lift up the stories and ongoing work of Muslim peacemakers like Naser Abdo,” Heinz wrote.
CNN and Al Jazeera also both featured glowing segments on Abdo’s quest to obtain CO status.
Despite his fan-base we haven’t seen headline after headline on this kook being a left-wing Muslim antiwar hero, have we?
Funny how that happens.

It’s clear, actually unbelievably clear, that the MSM, the left, and Democrats want the destruction of the USA as constructed by the Framers (explaining of course the soft spot for the religious cult (Islam) that can do no wrong). It’s no secret that they would in a heartbeat do away with limited government and the constructs of diffusing power all over the place.

I am effing sorry I renewed my subscription. Today’s WSJ article on the arrest of AWOL PFC Naser Jason Abdo makes no mention he is a Muslim; no mention he applied for CO status because he refused to make war against Afghan or Iraqi muslims; no mention of jihad; no mention of “soldier of Allah”; etc.

The American Islamic Forum for Democracy blasted the Army’s September 2010 decision to grant the man CO status. In a statement, the group called Abdo a traitor with an interpretation of Islam that “is dangerous and part of radical Islam globally.”

This is another example of how far out of touch our military leaders are. When this country had the draft I could understand why some would be conscientious objectors, but in an all volunteer military this is a joke. Refusing to go into a war zone is an act of cowardice and a court martial offense. To add insult to injury, this guy would not kill in combat but would kill on a military base in the states. Time to get rid of the politician generals and promote officers that believe their job is to win wars not promotions. This is what “Hope and Change ” has done to our fighting forces.

I realize that there are probably Muslims that are true Americans, but I would not turn my back on them in battle against other Muslims. God continue to keep his hand of protection on our military.

Abdo had amassed enough materials in his hotel room for two massive, powerful bombs he planned to use at a restaurant frequented by Fort Hood soldiers. He also planned to shoot those who survived and tried to escape.
Nobody is drafted or forced to join the military in the US, so why do we still have a conscientious objector status? Isn’t it clear that our military kills people that we are at war against?
Lately it seems to be used to impose a political view on the military. Gay rights, left wing views, now Islamic privilege. Prior to Viet Nam CO status merely meant that you just volunteered to be a front line medic, where many COs served heroically.
This guy asked for Conscientious Objector status AFTER he heard he was going to Afhganistan. Up until then he was fine with being a soldier. Which makes you wonder. We’re conducting two large combat operations in Islamic countries. Where did he THINK he was going to go? Notice also that his chain of command denied the CO status but some Assistant Secretary of the Army overrode that decision.
When he elisted in the army did he not know that we had a war against Iraq? Did he not know that we are in war against his Moslem Brother Usamah bin Laden? Did he not know we are at war in Afghanistan? What is this nonsense he is telling us?!?
