AP: Obama Lied About 80% of Americans Wanting Tax Hikes

Of course he lied.
This president is one of the most dishonest politicians this country has ever produced. This was nothing new. What’s new is that the state-run media actually confronted him this time.
The AP reported:
You might say President Barack Obama cut himself some extra margin of error when he claimed 80 percent of Americans want the debt crisis solved with a mix of tax increases and spending cuts.
Polling does suggest, as Obama said, that Americans overall and even Republican voters are open to higher taxes as part of the solution. But claiming support from 8 in 10 people was a reach.
The AP article points to the Quinnipiac and Gallup polls from this week. Of course, they “forgot” to include the Rasmussen poll that shows that 55% of American voters oppose Obama’s tax hikes.

Pass. I can’t think of anyone who is more dishonest than him in a position of any kind of power. (I have met people like him who can’t stop lying but it didn’t matter because they weren’t in control of anything more than the remote to their television.)

What you just wrote is the reason Obama will be a one-term President. Most of us are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Hope and Change was nothing more than a carnival gimmick. A friend had said to me she was going to vote for Obama in 08 because it felt so good to hope. Now she feels hopeless as her expectations for Obama fell way short of accomplishments.
