A New Low… Obama’s Job Approval on Economy Slides Below 40%

In Obama’s final ad of the 2008 campaign he asked,
“Are you better off now than your were 4 years ago?”
“Defining Moment” highlights that the question is not “are you better off than you were four years ago?” We know the answer to that. The real question is will our country be better off four years from now?
The correct answer is “no.”
A new poll shows that Obama’s overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time.

Now, comes a new ABC News/Washington Post poll with a whole harvest of revelations, among them, strong indications that Obama’s liberal base is starting to crumble. Among the nuggets:
Despite those hundreds of billions of blown stimulus dollars and almost as many upturn promises from Joe Biden, 82% of Americans still say their job market is struggling. Ninety percent rate the economy negatively, including half who give it the worst rating of “poor.”
Are You Better Off Today Than Jan. 20, 2009?
A slim 15% claim to be “getting ahead financially,” half what it was in 2006. Fully 27% say they’re falling behind financially. That’s up 6 points since February.
A significant majority (54%) says they’ve been forced to change their lifestyle significantly as a result of the economic times — and 60% of them are angry, up from 44%…
…Obama’s overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time, with 57% disapproving. And strong disapprovers outnumber approvers by better than two-to-one.

After watching that gag-inducing performance last night, I hope they DO! He’s acting like a has-been Community Organizer from South Chicago trying to gin up the mob: SEIU, ACORN, Black Panthers, the usual suspects. It was remarkable to watch a supposed “president” of all the people trying to incite riots. If he’s successful, this will truly make us a banana republic.

It’s only a matter of time. The calls from the Socialist Left to primary Obama are getting louder. If Obama does the right thing and gives into the people’s demand on immediate massive spending cuts, they will completely abandon him. If he doesn’t, he will take FULL BLAME for the economic disaster. Obama’s arrogance let him get sucked into a trap the GOP set for him, and there’s no way out that doesn’t include an approval rating in the teens by this time next year.

Whoever the GOP nominee ends up being, that person better hit hard with the “are you better off than you were 4 years ago” line. It’s doing my right wing, conservative heart such good to see more and more people starting to wake up to what BO and the Dems have perpetuated on this country over this last 5 years. One question I would like for the GOP and candidates to ask is….Are you more or less free now than you were 2.5 years ago??? Then ask or show all the laws passed restricting your freedoms, increased taxes, fees, regulations, gas & food prices etc etc etc
We need a list of taxes fees, and laws or regulations that limit freedom?

Fast food limiting bans( ie happy meals in San Fran)

…and clearly, once again approval numbers are mostly a measure of the overall media coverage — tv, movies, news radio etc. That he’s at or near 40 shows how huge the bias is…should be zero for his (mis)handling of the economy.

Just as there are physical laws, there are economic ones as well. Perhaps people are connecting the dots. I’ll wait to see if this is a blip or a real trend.
Frankly, other than the THC consuming commie rejects who were burning college campus buildings in the 1960′s (in retrospect I have to wonder if had they succeeded we wouldn’t be better off in that regard), I don’t know of any moron who would approve of this clown.
