The libs at The Politico think it’s his “message.”

Hat Tip Keder
For the record…
** Real US GDP has risen 0.8% over the 13 quarters since the current recession began, compared to an average increase of 9.9% in past recoveries.
** Obama’s trillion dollar stimulus failed.
** The unemployment rate is still above a 9%.
** Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression overseeing the worst housing downturn since the Great Depression and the worst slide in home prices since the Great Depression.
It’s not the “message” that’s the problem.

No no no. This is the greatest communicator EVER.
Everyone understands EXACTLY what zero is saying. His words mean NOTHING, it his actions that describe him PERFECTLY to a TEE!

The “message” would resonate if the facts backed it up.

ron @ #1,
I thought BO had all the answers? He promised to “heal the Earth and slow the rise of the oceans”. I would think fixing the economy would be a snap for him.
Aren’t you embarrassed by a man (BO) you obviously support who promised these wondrous things blaming his predecessor (GWB) for his (BO) poor/non-performance?
Obviously you aren’t embarrassed since you are here humping the same old discredited DNC talking points. Keep plucking that naked chicken.

Look, it is long past time to admit that YES Bush is responsible for where we are in large measure. Don’t just shoot back at questions like that, let’s answer them. So, it’s Bush’s fault. If the Rons of the world want to fully absolve Obama, that is fine. For now. But let’s examine that assertion. What POLICIES of the Bushies have been so devastating? No, it was not his meager tax rate cuts. These INCREASED federal revenues as marginal rate cuts tend to do. But even if the Left persists in lying about that, certainly this wasn’t the only problem. What about the housing crunch? Yep, that happened, or began, under Bush but what were the relevant POLICIES? These of course were the loosening of qualifications for borrowers and responsibilities for lenders. Bush was not against this but it was a Democratic project in conception and in the cronies that administered it so disastrously for the nation and so profitably for themselves. Bush put Republican fingerprints on the unworkable fraud of Medicare with his Part D boondoggle but of course the Dems objected to this from the LEFT! Their preferences would have only made it worse in deficit terms which is the same thing you could say about any of the ill-conceived monuments of the Compassionate Conservative. As for the wars, well, if you object to them for costs or whatever reasons you should work to elect some anti-war legislators and a President. Sounds like Kucinich is your man there. Maybe HE will run in ’12. And wouldn’t that be lurvely?

Chisum,
ronnie didn’t get the Debbie Whatshername-Shitz memo that the dims own the economy. His new cycle must consist of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
Bill Hennessy commented:
Obama’s message is part of the problem. People are beginning to recognize that Obama’s message–bigger government, more corporate welfare, and ridiculous debt–is making it worse.
In fact, that IS Obama’s message: “I made it worse.”

Idisagree. It is the message. Attacking the free market, the constitution, the police, America is not the message that the American president should deliver.
But then we have a Kejnyan Muslim.
Remember 2012!

yes if the greatest speaker ever to occupy the white house could just find a better way to lie to the american people things would be great. no matter how you package the lie it is still the same old pact of socialist policies meant to enslave the people.
i guess if the myth could just find a better way to convince the american people to work harder to support the politicans the economy would boom. i wonder when the liberals are going to realize that the politicans are suppose to work for the people. you can’t punish people for being sucessful and reward people for not working and expect people to work hard. people want their freedom, economic and otherwise. people are not going to work hard for an economic system that punishes hard work and rewards laziness. it hasn’t work in other countries and its not working here either.

Wait just a minute. Earlier this week Fed chairman Bernanke said this:
“We don’t have a precise read on why this slower pace of growth is persisting.”
IOW, the Fed doesn’t understand what’s happening with the economy. If the Fed doesn’t know, Obama for sure doesn’t know. How can you have a message when you don’t know what the flip is happening?
I think that in the last 10 days the President and his advisers have reluctantly come to the conclusion that the economy is not going to turn around before the 2012 election. This is a severe setback to his reelection chances and the only way to deal with it is to change the narrative. This is the beginning of a long-term strategy on dealing (or failing to deal) with the economy.

The problem is not Obama’s message. The problem is the mess he made. He owns it and should be impeached.

You know the bumbler is in trouble when the DNC talking heads are monitoring this site and are the first one’s to comment.
They are fooling no one at evidenced by the 2010 election cycle. The American people are tired of being lied to by these thieves and will sweep them under the rug in 2012.

the debt ceiling is vital to the Obamanites. They want the cushion to spend to prop up the stock mkt. I don’t know who it goes to but those “market makers” will buy a lot and the market will rise as a whole. Then billions will go into the housing, I think the banks will buy and own with the funny money and parcel them out to sub-prime folks as REO entities. somehow the banks will be seen as making a deal on their own inventory so that will not be a real sub prime snafu. It weill look like real salesand that market will rise, also.
So then Obama looks pretty good for a better economy.
So if the Gop shows guts and keeps the debt ceiling fixed… then we are ok. If not we get Obama for at least 4 more years. Imo, it is a simple as that.
Carolina Kathy commented:
Ron,
Please give me that rotten old Bush economy. PLEASE.
Before the democrats took Congress in 2006, our economy was growing, our retirement funds were safe, our dollar was worth something, our houses (which for most of us are our primary investment) were worth twice what they are now. The horrible ‘jobless recovery’ the democrats accused GWB of creating had a dismal 5% unemployment at its worst. College graduates had jobs instead of moving back in with parents… We were paying for two wars not FOUR (or is that two regular wars and two non-hostile wars?) or has the number gone up, I can’t keep track…
GWB shouldn’t have gone along with TARP, even he admits. He abandoned Republican principles to do it. Imagine if he hadn’t engaged in that folly trying to appease the Left.
Either way you look at it, democrat policies got us into this and they are making it worse every day they have any control over the government.
Perhaps the American people could give them the benefit of the doubt if they accepted any responsibilities for their policies which exacerbate recovery, but stupid is as stupid does, and progressives double down for more failure, learning NOTHING.
This taxpayer isn’t going to fund their forays into prolifigate fantasyland anymore, and I’m not alone. Since democrats take no responsibilities for failures over the last few years, the taxpayers will have to take it for them. And just how do they do that? Replace Obama that’s how; replace democrats in Congress and republicans that don’t support sound fiscal policy. No more democrats or democrats-lite masquerading as republicans! Hey Maine – I’m talking to you. You have a great R governor, now give us some reliable republican Senators.
Jim DeMint is right. Those republicans who hike that debt ceiling and relent to higher taxes will go out with the refuse democrats in a year that will make 2010 look like the tiniest precursor for the larger tide.
The electorate is still angry, Ron, and GWB has been gone a long time. Some of us may even wake up to the fact that he takes a lot of blame for economic disaster precisely because of his compromise with devastating policies of democrats. That drives the electorate even further right…
Politic0 and Joun0listers should be worried. Words don’t put food on the table or gas in the tank or pay the rent, and it doesn’t help them that they are drowning in stupid words over there.
Rant off/

Social justice as he defines it is every body has equal wealth so as he sees it all his policies are working. The poor are still with us, but greedy peoples hard earned wealth is being destroyed, evening out the rewards on average. He never uses the word earnings because he believes those with much money ( over $250,000 ) must have cheated poor people out of their fair share rather than being very productive . Remember the debate with mccain when he asked him what he thought rich was and asked for a number. It does not matter what he answered because it is not the job of govt. to decide how much is enough for anybody or every body.
