Obama’s Radical Energy Secretary Stephen Chu Implements Program to Indoctrinate School Children on Global Warming (Video)

It used to be that the mission of the Department of Energy is to ensure America’s security and prosperity by addressing its energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges. But that was before Obama. Now it’s all about indoctrination and junk science.
Barack Obama’s radical (green) Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he didn’t think average folks had the know-how or will to to change their behavior enough to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions. So, like a good socialist, Chu proposed indoctrinating the nation’s youth on global warming junk science. And he’s not shy about it.
It looks like his indoctrination program is in place.
P/Oed Patriot reported on Chu’s new indoctrination program complete with instructions and lesson plans and quizzes:
PROCEDURE
1.Distribute the Energy Awareness Quiz.
2.Have students take the quiz and discuss the correct answers given below. Ask them what answers they disagree with and what answers surprise them.
3.Tell students that the environmental problem that gets the most attention these days is global warming and the green house effect. Ask students to list ways that everyone contributes to the amount of carbon dioxide and other green house gases entering the atmosphere.
4.Have students complete How Much CO2 Do You Spew? Debrief with the following questions:
a.What changes, if any, would students consider making in their consumption habits after doing this activity?
b.What statements can students make about our consumption and GHG production as compared with other countries? (It is much higher than most countries’.)
c.Which energy topics would students like to find out more about?”
(This quiz goes as far as to say that Global Warming is a “fact” and goes on to use scare tactics to get kids to fall in line with the idea of reducing their Co2 output.)

After many investigations, it is now well-documented and accepted as fact….Sometimes things like the greenhouse effect seem far away—the same as troubles in the oil-rich countries of the Middle East (they presently, but not always, sell us all the oil we can pay for).

Also, there is NO scientific evidence that CO2 causes global warming. In fact, elevated temperatures predate higher carbon levels.

Probably the best way to argue with people like Chu is to adopt a mitigationist approach. Concede global warming. There’s no reason not to. In fact, there’s a good reason to — it lets you point our how REALLY stupid these people are.
They wish to REVERSE global warming. They wish to do so by unilaterally destroying Western economies, even as third world, emerging and Asian economies will lag far behind in CO2 reductions. In short, reversal is a fool’s errand and failure to mitigate in at-risk areas will be a disaster.
This is a lose/lose scenario even if we accept their premises. In short, even by their own logic they’re insane.
Sometimes folks can be shown to be insane by beginning with, not denying, their own premises.
Never doubt the value of a reductio ad absurdum — especially where climate change is concerned. It’s easier — and more fun — to dispense with the prospect of being called a “denier,” accept their premise, and then chomp through their ideological rib cage from the inside — like in Alien.

The atmosphere on Earth contains 0.038% CO2 according to Wolfram Alpha. Why should an increase of this cause global warming? Yes, Venus has a problem, but the atmosphere on Venus has 96.5% CO2 (same source). Chu is peddling junk science.

What people forget with Venus is that Venus is very close to the sun. Mars also has a high concentration of CO2, but is pretty cold. Why? It’s far away from the sun. This is basic physics, basic laws of thermodynamics. The farther away an object is from a heat source, the less heat energy it takes up. Simple, basic physics.

There’s just one problem. Nothing has doubled.
Let’s use the Mauna Loa to show the utter madness and massive lies used by the AGW fanboys.
A few words on it before I start with the math:
Mauna Loa is used because that is where such measurement began. Initially as a hobby by Charles Keeling. But the record is the longest. It is a good situs, even if within 15 miles of an active volcano, Kilauea Iki. However being upwind, the effect is minimal, and when the wind shifts, the volcanic CO2 is easily detected. Mauna Loa, as was determined early, is ideal. It is far from urban influence, is high enough to get lower atmospheric readings of pure atmosphere, such as it is.
There are of course now other sites. Ironically, some also close to volcanoes. But the readings are uncontradicted: the measures from Mauna Loa are pure accurate data and CO2 is indeed increasing.
It lends itself for the measure of other atmospheric components, both natural and introduced and began the trend of high astronomical observatories serving as climate science sites.

Today’s seasonally corrected Mauna Loa CO2 April 2011 = 390.49 ppm
The seasonally corrected Mauna Loa CO2 value 50 years ago , April 1961 = 317.27 ppm
317.27 x 2 (a doubling over 50 years) = 634.54 ppm
Hmmm, I seem to lack some 244.05 ppm somewhere.

Yes, Mars has 95.3% CO2 according to Wolfram Alpha and they need global warming as the max temperature on all surfaces is -5C and average temperature of -47C.
For comparison: Venus has an average temperature of 460C!

According to NASA, 168 billion metric tons (BMT) of CO2 are added to the atmosphere annually. 100 BMT are emitted by oceans. 30 BMT are produced by decaying biomass and another 30 BMT by animal respiration. One BMT is generated by forrest fires. Another BMT is released by industries such as smelting, baking and fermentation. Only 6 BMT (or 3.57%) are caused by burning fossil fuels.
The Green House Gas theory as pertains to climate change was refuted in the 18th Century, because it violated the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics and because its CO2 does not exhibit the physical chemistry characteristics modeled in the IPCC computer predictions.
If, however, one would make a case that GHG absorbs reflected solar energy, water vapor – a GHG not modeled in the simulations – is 1,000 times more effective that CO2.

I exhale approximately one third of a metric ton of CO2 per year, a practice I intend to continue. This CO2 is absorbed by plants through photosynthesis, a process which emits Oxygen (O2).

If humans ceased all use of fossil fuels and reverted to the Stone Age, 96.43% of atmospheric CO2 entering the atmosphere would continue to be absorbed.

I would ask environmental extremists to present a thermodynamic analysis of their theory accounting for the energy.

If you can’t do it, you teach it, except now they don’t even teach it. More time and money is wasted by the public schools on trying to teach things that don’t prepare kids to be productive individuals. I’m friends with parents who home school and their children are brighter and more polite. They hold conversations about world events instead of the latest Gaga video. All is not lost, but this tool is making the survival of the country a lot more difficult.
