Michelle Obama thanked the media for their support and kindness today.

CNN reporter: “How’s the family ready for this [the election]? It’s going to be quite vicious, isn’t it? How do you prepare for that?”
First Lady Michelle Obama: “You know, it’s … we’re ready, you know. Our children, you know, could care less about what we’re doing. We work hard to do that. Fortunately we have help from the media. I have to say this: I’m very grateful for the support and kindness that we’ve gotten. People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband’s policies or what have you, they care about children and that’s been good to see.“
But, as Politicons reported, the First Lady must have forgotten about the state-run media’s brutal treatment of the Palin kids.
Really? The media absolutely hates Sarah Palin and they attack her children more viciously than anyone (Besides Sarah).
For example: Katie Couric attacked her children, Wonkette made fun of her down syndrome child Trig, or even when they attacked her 10 year old daughter Piper. To say that the media loves children is a compete understatement. You should have said, the media loves my children.

Obama has never told the media to cease and desist wrt his opponents kids. During the campaign, he said the kids are off limits, and he meant his. When Palin’s kids were savaged, Obama remained silent. Since then, his silence has continued as the media does an Alinsky on the Palins’ kids with Obama’s blessing. I loved it when the reporter was coming up behind Sarah Palin at one stop. and Piper saw that and body checked him enough to vector him off with his strength,i.e a tad off balance.
Sarah explained to her later that he was just a reporter and Mom was ok. but not before Piper wlaked in front of him again!

BINGO, Obama when it was revealed Bristol was preganant, ONLY ONE TIME, said hey my mom was pregnant with me when she was very young as well.
BUT…. that same day, it came out in news reports, that David AxelRod was plotting with his team how to exploit this with coordination with the American press corps.
This disgusting woman is scum, they couldn’t give a chit about other kids, she could have once said, kids of all politicians are off limits, BUT NO. She along with her loser husband approve of attacks on palin’s kids, they probably encourage it, why not? everything is fair game in their books, including innocent kids of people who oppose their crap.

my personal action item for media hypocrisy is to send an email to every company that advertises at a particular network or newspaper that is guilty of lying, blatant prejudice against conservatives, and willful denigration of conservative politicians and tell the companies that I am boycotting their products since they chose to advertise with that network/paper.
while it may not scare those companies enough to pull their ad dollars from the guilty network/paper, given time, and if more conservatives do so, we will turn the tide and actually hit these state-run media network/papers where it hurt. if we believe that conservatives are a majority in this country, we can make a difference if each of us demand that companies stop supporting prejudice networks/papers against conservatives.

Thank you for pointing out that the media did the same thing to Chelsea Clinton.Rush even held up her picture and said the Clinton’s had a new dog.He did apologize later.But Chelsea was always attacked even after she was a grown woman during the 2008 primaries,David Shuster said the Clinton’s were pimping her out.Of course Amy Carter was made fun of too as well as George W. Bush’s twin daughters.Ron and Patty Reagan were not spared either.So this begs the question,why does this press make a difference with the Obama daughters.I don’t believe any child should be attacked but why is there a hands off policy with Obama’s?
