Breaking: Weiner Seeks Leave of Absense From US House (Video)

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) will take a short leave of absence and seek professional treatment.
But he won’t resign.
The AP reported:
Under fierce pressure from fellow Democrats to resign in a sexting scandal, Rep. Anthony Weiner announced Saturday he was entering professional treatment at an undisclosed location and requested a leave of absence from Congress.
An aide for the embattled New York lawmaker made the disclosure in a statement shortly after several Democratic party leaders demanded he quit for exchanging messages and photos ranging from sexually suggestive to explicit with several women online.
“This sordid affair has become an unacceptable distraction for Representative Weiner, his family, his constituents and the House,” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the party chairwoman, said in a written statement calling for the 46-year-old married lawmaker to step down.
The House Democratic leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, said Weiner “has the love of his family, the confidence of his constituents and the recognition that he needs help. I urge Congressman Weiner to seek that help without the pressures of being a member of Congress.”

Gabriel Giffords constituents have not had any representation since she was injured. That’s a sad case, she certainly didn’t deserve what happened to her, she’s a innocent victim of someone else’s criminality, but it’s a fact she is currently unable to carry out her elected duties, and the Democrats won’t lift a finger to fix that – they hold the seat in limbo expressly to keep it Democrat, for Democrat Party purposes, not for any genuine consideration for Giffords, hoping to transition it to her husband, who’ll need time to establish AZ residence status first in order to segue in legally.
So that’ll be TWO Congressional districts without active representation until whenever. Just the Democrat machine making sure its interests are preserved.

Man, we are witnessing the behavior of a Class A Coward. Surely the concept of personal responsibility cannot completely escape Democrats. Rather, I believe their sense of entitlement exceeds any personal shame or indignity.

There is no such thing as “rehabilitation” for people of bad character. Weiner’s level of maturity is not commensurate with his age and on top of that he’s a lecher, liar, arrogant fool and a person of ineptitude.

Experts will tell us that there is only one treatment for an individual like this, and it’s called a jail cell. I’ll bet he met with some dems and they told him that he absolutely had to get out of the news spot light. By going to rehab, he is effectively taking himself out of the spot light. No one will bother him while he is in “rehab”, that just wouldn’t be right.
Look for him to re-appear in a month or so having turned over a new leaf, feigning piousness and seeking sympathy. Anyone hounding him after he has gone through “rehab” will seem like they have no decency. Like the song, Eminence Front says, “It’s a put on.”
