Wisconsin Officials Says It Will Cost Up to $7.5 Million to Clean After Protest “Slobs”

Wisconsin Republican State Senator Glenn Grothman is not the only one concerned about the “smelly” leftist “slobs” who are turning the state capitol into a “pig sty.”
Hallis Mailen sleeps on Sunday in the rotunda of the Wisconsin Capitol as a round-the-clock protest continues over the proposed budget and bargaining rights. (Post-Gazette)
State officials today announced that it could cost up to $7.5 to clean up after the leftist protesters in Madison.
FOX6 Now reported:
It could cost as much as $7.5 million to repair damage protesters have done to the Capitol Building marble say officials in Madison. Fixing posters to the marble with tape and glue appears to have done the bulk of the damage.
During testimony Thursday, a representative from the Attorney General’s office said a contractor estimated it would cost $500,000 to remove all of the posters and garbage. He says it would cost $6 million to restore the marble inside of the Capitol building and another $1 million to touch up the marble outside of the building.
Officials with the Department of Administration say the marble must be restored immediately. They say normally, tape isn’t used on the walls of the Capitol by rule because of the historic nature of the building. Easels are normally used for signs.

Garnish the union dues from state workers’ paychecks for as long as it takes to come up with $7.5 million plus interest. The interest is because it will take a while to collect all of that from union dues, and the state will have to borrow the money in the meantime.
Diverting the union dues will also cripple the unions themselves.

What this whole thing comes down to in the end is a bunch of losers and misfits being used by the agitators and their true believers. It is a classic case of a mass movement on the move. Why would anyone sleep on the floor of a public building with dirty feet? What a bunch of losers. Where are the teachers, about whom this is supposedly about? They have all gone home. I would really like to see a very detailed bill for this because marble is very durable. I think these claims are grossly inflated. Since WI supports their prisoners in high style bring them in and let them earn their keep by cleaning up the capital!

The Department of Administration now admits that they really had no idea how much the “cleanup” cost would be. Now they say maybe $350,000 – that based on hiring “art restoration” specialists. The blue “painters tape” is approved for use on marble. And now, the painters union contractors who have taken care of the Capitol marble for years have volunteered to do any cleanup for free. So the estimate has been reduced form 7.5 million to, well, zero.

Well the representatives can deal with it. When you mess up that bad and propose a bogus bill of this magnitude and you get a response of this impressive size, its your fault. You brought it on yourself, so I dont really care. I was at the protests. It isnt dirty, it isnt filthy, and the only slobs I have seen are the tea partiers who were throwing things at the peaceful union supporters. Sorry Walker, but I wont stand for you raping my education and pocketbook because you dont know what you are doing. Go back to school and graduate this time.
