Why is Obama helping Al-Qaeda in Libya?
Why is America helping terrorists who fought against the US in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Does a country run by Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists run more efficiently than a country run by an anti-American megalomaniac?
Do we have any assurances that Al-Qaeda will not end up in control of Libya?
Did Obama ask any of these questions before he rushed into war?
Yesterday we found out that the rebels we are helping in Libya are linked to Al-Qaeda.
A 2007 West Point study showed that the Benghazi-Darnah-Tobruk region in Libya was a world leader in Al Qaeda suicide bomber recruitment. (Mathaba)
The leader of the Libyan rebel forces fought against the US in Afghanistan until he was captured in 2002. He also admitted that his fighters have Al-Qaeda links.
The Telegraph reported:
Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi’s regime.
In an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Mr al-Hasidi admitted that he had recruited “around 25″ men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, are “today are on the front lines in Adjabiya”.
Mr al-Hasidi insisted his fighters “are patriots and good Muslims, not terrorists,” but added that the “members of al-Qaeda are also good Muslims and are fighting against the invader”.
His revelations came even as Idriss Deby Itno, Chad’s president, said al-Qaeda had managed to pillage military arsenals in the Libyan rebel zone and acquired arms, “including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries”.
Mr al-Hasidi admitted he had earlier fought against “the foreign invasion” in Afghanistan, before being “captured in 2002 in Peshwar, in Pakistan”. He was later handed over to the US, and then held in Libya before being released in 2008.
More… Several of the rebel leaders remain anonymous. We have absolutely no idea who these fighters are that we are assisting.

Many commentators have voiced anxiety because of the mystery which surrounds the anti-Qaddafi transitional government which emerged at the beginning of March in the city of Benghazi, located in the Cyrenaica district of north-eastern Libya. This government has already been recognized by France and Portugal as the sole legitimate representative of the Libyan people. The rebel council seems to be composed of just over 30 delegates, many of whom are enveloped in obscurity. In addition, the names of more than a dozen members of the rebel council are being kept secret, allegedly to protect them from the vengeance of Qaddafi. But there may be other reasons for the anonymity of these figures…
…Almost one fifth of the foreign fighters entering Iraq across the Syrian border came from Libya, a country of just over 6 million people. A higher proportion of Libyans were interested in fighting in Iraq than any other country contributing mujahedin. Felter and Fishman point out: “Almost 19 percent of the fighters in the Sinjar Records came from Libya alone.

Problem is, impeachment is solely the leveling of charges and is done by the House, which is controlled by Republicans… however any impeached official must then be CONVICTED, which is done by the Senate, which is controlled by Democrats.
Impeachment is one thing, impeachment and conviction is another… the latter can’t be done unless the crime is so egregious that both parties turn on the accused, or unless one party controls both houses of Congress.

Targeting Hunger doesnt work in US; FDR already tried it and failed. Too many capitalists here in the US, willing and able to bring in food from where ever they can get it.

Qaddafy duck was protected for awhile because of his close ties with Calypso Lou and his trump need to not piss off his base with a war, but everyone of Malibu’s moves in the Mideast have a common thread, empower the caliphate. oh yeah, I know about the regulation – but that is more of a long term building block and wont play into this round of communism-push orchestrated by the left.
Right now, if they tried to starve the public into submission they would fail miserably because of 1) the gigantic sum of food exports (we export about twice as much food products as we import) which would be ceased 2) the still large amount of business men with the capability to import food in huge quantities. Currently, they cant hinder our huge amount of production/export because we would be killing thousands in places like India which receive the food. And they havent (yet) been able to regulate enough capitalists out of the US with the means to bring in even more if need be.
Food shortages might come -after- we go commie, but it wont be the means by which we move in that direction.
Energy and the Stock-market/debt are the two biggest threats right now – and they are the two they are pushing like crazy knowing they are the best bets to bring problems. And with our newly-appointed Repubs targeting Unions and State separation from the Feds, it will drastically decrease the possibility they are successful. (although, it could set off mass protests which hopefully dont have enough support to reach the revolution level – so far, so good on that front though as it looks like very few are sympathetic to the union whining)
As far as a New World Order, well… The UN, NATO and even the extremely young EU are falling apart right now, world organizations never work and each are showing themselves to be failures currently. The wildcard is the extreme likelihood we end up in a massive war with Muslims – a situation which would strengthen finances around the (civilized) world, but also possibly bring countries together into a new replacement for the UN (much like it replaced the League of Nations). Luckily, Obama will likely be out of office at any wars outcome, and if its at the hands of a republican, then hopefully we end up avoiding the push for global government.

I just don’t see food playing into the plans -yet. We currently produce twice as much as we import, meaning they would need to cut our production by 25% or more to have much of an effect in a crisis situation. Plus, we are a very rich nation with even most of our “poor” able to pay big costs for food – unlike most of thhe world where “poor” really means “poor”. Going after our food supply will just mean the mass killing of people in the third world, and a big inconvenience for us, but one we could endure.
