Don’t worry… Someone else will fix it.
The left destroyed the Wisconsin State Capitol lawn.

How much do you want to bet it will be a public sector union that will be responsible for repairing the grounds? Just saying.

And of course the “police” did absolutely nothing to stop this destruction of public property. They should all be fired!

Does this count as a job “created or saved”?

It looks as bad as the tsunami in places. I could not imagine a parent tolerating the extended school day thanks to the people that call themselves professionals. What I have seen are vandals and loiters that have no place educating the next generation.
I would love to suggest something for folks all over…say enough, and pull your children out. I have homeschooled now for 17 years, and the students I have educated are in service for you and me. One just returned from Afghanistan, one has been a volunteer fireman since he was 17 and is working on his EMS training, all have held paying jobs each summer since they were 12…the youngest at fifteen has been working on her associates degree.
Hard work-yes? Worth it? Absolutely! And why would homeschoolers go to a state building? To watch politics in action and learn about our government-not to destroy. What would homeschoolers do if they saw a problem with their government? Vote, and attend activities such as Tea Party’s like my family did last July 4th when Jim was the guest speaker in Las Cruces.

cloward and piven. Overload the front lawn with demands it can’t meet. This destroys the grass, then you come in and offer the solution. You hire more union workers to do the landscaping.
Order of chaos….. you create the problem, you then pose as the savior and offer a solution. Perfect method for despots and thugs.

Exactly. Standard tactics of anarchy leading to totalitarian takeover.

Bad as the Tsunami? Well in some very limited ways. There were over 100,000 people there on several days. It looks like it did years ago when they were redoing the streets around it.
Wondering Aloud commented:
The actual estimate of the damage is $350,000. The capital maintenence people thing that is a wildly high estimate.
Patriot Act commented:
By the way, I never saw any pictures to support the 100,000 turnout estimate. Has anyone here ever seen any? Probably a gross exaggeration by the complicit news media.

Nope – not even on the days of dueling demos with union goons bused in from out of state.

Actually, the correct amount has not been established.
To quote:
Wisconsin officials now say the cost to repair damage at the state Capitol could be as low as $350,000.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin officials now say the cost to repair damage at the state Capitol could be as low as $350,000.
Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch says the original $7.5 million estimate to repair marble damaged by tape was a “high-end” estimate. An updated report from DOA says a majority of the $350,000 would cover a crew to perform “very limited” restoration on the marble as well as landscape restoration.
DOA originally said it would need $7 million to repair damage and between 60,000 and 500,000 just to assess the condition of the building.
Huebsch also says they are concerned whether the number of people in the rotunda could have caused any structural damage or safety issues in the Capitol. Protester numbers inside the Capitol have peaked at around 5,000.

60,000 -500,000 just to assess the damage??
Must be unions doing the assessing. 500,000 dollars would only take of two or three union members for one year, after you total up healthcare benefits, company car, company telephone, pensions, paid sick days, union approved fitness center with jacuzzi and heated indoor olympic swimming pool with full time lifeguard on duty, union dues, democratic political contributions, union cocktail parties and picnics, union meetings, and advertising in favor of that union.
Opaobie commented:
Simple solution, just go to the HQ of the NEA and the other Unions responsible for the anarchy and “protests” and lift their lawn and replant it at the State Capitol….and if there isn’t enough grass to cover the damage, go to the lawns of all the Union leaders and lift their lawns, and if that isn’t enough grass, go to the homes of all the Union thug teachers and lift their lawns, and if that isn’t enough grass,……

How noble of a half million people to turn out for the children.
After all, what’s a few million dollars in damage to state property (paid for by state funds, i.e. TAXES out of a budget that’s already busted.). It’s FOR THE CHILDREN!

From this picture, it looks like the lawn will have to be totally torn out and reseeded. If the whole lawn is not done, it will look patchy and wierd. But no problem, just needs more time and money.

I forgot, but those union thugs are bad, all bad bad bad, all unions should be bansihed because they are baddie bad bad and we who are not are goodiie good good.
when fat disgusting bosses are raping your teenage daughter so she gets a decent evaluation don’t blame unions. He’s got the Tools he needs to get the job done.
Nope, 100% I’d bet my life on it. Abuses are going to run wild. Screw your stupid lawn, I threw grass seed on mine & waited a few years for it to grow in fully. Big deal.
It’ll do those Oinker six figure earning elite to look at dirt for a few years.

Why The Public Unions Can Afford To Defend The Indefensible
A friend whose son has autism sent me this absolutely horrific tale of abuse and neglect by New York State workers who are supposed to care for the cognitively disabled. These are unionized workers who are, like most of New York’s civil service, very hard to fire. Naturally, the union fought as hard for them as it could. And so rather than fire them, many of their supervisors simply transferred them to other homes, even though offenses included punching their charges, throwing them against the wall, and sexually abusing them. The man who was caught standing between the legs of his disabled charge with his pants down and her diaper off describes himself as just waiting until he can collect his state pension.

Suggestion: Governor Scott Walker should ask for volunteers to repair the turf at no cost.
For the citizens of Wisconsin, what would be a better lesson to teach your children than repairing public property after the wanton destruction done by union thugs? It’s your state and your property. Do not allow some union contractor to profit from his members’ vandalism.
