What is he… A black nationalist?
What about the rest of America?

Nothing to see here folks. Move along.

Eric Holder told the House Appropriations subcommittee that the New Black Panther voter intimidation case demeans “my people.”
The Politico reported:

Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.

Holder’s frustration over the criticism became evident during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing as Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding a club stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia.

The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culberson read in which former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.

“Think about that,” Holder said. “When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, and to compare what people were subjected to there to what happened in Philadelphia—which was inappropriate, certainly that…to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line, who risked all, for my people,” said Holder, who is black.

  1. I wonder if Mark Rich is one of your people.

  2. FREE OJ, it demeans his people!

  3. concreteblue, you fn moron. Do you mean his social justice department??

  4. Ahh, poor concreteblew. You got dumped.!!

  5. Holder violated his oath of office to apply the equal protection of laws. He should resign or if he refuses to do so, he should be removed.

  6. Holder’s crooked justice demeans my country.

  7. now comments that tell the truth are scrubbed….how typical

  8. My people? WTF? Is Holder from Kenya?

  9. The DOJ has gone totally off the deep edge.
The ACLU has replaced legal authority. This is insane!

The leftist civil rights group that serves as a de facto branch of Obama’s Justice Department is ordering California law enforcement agencies to stop arresting illegal immigrants and ignore federal detainers usually placed on those with criminal convictions or deportation orders.

There is no way that statement could be interrupted to mean his staff, IMO.

  10. I thought he was the A.G. for all the American people, not just “his people”. It is shameful that once again the race card is laid out by this administration. This has nothing to do with race, they clearly broke the law.

  11. Post racial period my ass. That comment alone should be enough to remove him from office.

  12. I wonder what Holder has to say to the elderly black women who were prevented from voting in the 2008 caucuses because they were not Obama supporters?

The Obama campaign had ACORN intimidating voters.

From the documentary: We Shall Not Be Silenced.

  13. Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.

    ++++
I think Holder is right and he has every right to be fed up .
He did not go easy on the NBP thugs because they are black,
he went easy on them because they are
    MUSLIMS.
DOJ = Department of Jihad , the house of AlQaeda 9

  14. He was talking about his Justice Department staff, morons….

  15. The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culberson read in which former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.

“Think about that,” Holder said. “When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans…

Typical Obama tactic, distorting what his opponent said.

Bartle Bull said it was the most serious act of voter intimidation HE HAD WITNESSED in his career. He wasn’t comparing it to what blacks endured in the South in the 60s.

Holder, like Obama, is instinctively dishonest. He can’t help it, apparently.

  16. So happy there was someone who kept pushing and pushing this back into the news. Thank you Congressman Culberson.

  17. I thought justice was blind…guess not! What he’s doing is justifying lynching back in the day.

  18. Ok, so now it is clear that not only do we have a Justice Department that will uphold only those laws that Eric Holder, and Obama, feel are Constitutional, we have a Attorney General who will not uphold the law due to past injustices.

We are no longer a republic; we are a kingdom.

  19. Beachcomber, let’s not forget who Bartle Bull is. He was a prominent lawyer who fought for civil rights in the South and was a state campaign manager for Bobby Kennedy’s run for president.

Bull testified that in all his civil rights work, he had never seen a case of voter intimidate as severe as the New Black Panthers case. Yet, Holder decided to dismiss a case that WAS ALREADY WON in the lower courts.

Our Department of Justice is now irrepairably corrupt and the only way to clean it up is to make Obama “one and done.”

  20. He was talking about his Justice Department staff, morons….

Liar. Anyone with half a brain can see that he was talking about blacks.

…to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line, who risked all, for my people.

You’re saying Holder is talking about people who put their lives on the line and risked all for the Justice Department staff? Who, exactly, are those people who risked everything for the Justice Department staff?
