Weird Pep Rally Continues… “Together We Thrive” Bus Benches Pop Up in Tucson

If you thought turning a memorial for six victims of mass murder by a left-wing pothead who hated Bush into a pep rally was weird…
You won’t believe this.
“Together We Thrive” bus benches are popping up in Tucson.
This bench was spotted near the corner of Speedway and Tucson — near the university.

My first thought is that this is a retooling of the Celebrate Diversity” identity politics game, i.e., stifle and silence dissent through political correctness by implying that the dominant conservative culture is backward, racist, hate-filled, etc. and the only way not to be associated with this is to join the liberal bandwagon. Jim, please keep us informed about who funded this. As an Arizona resident, I will be outraged if some of my tax dollars funded this crap, particularly if it was through the University of Arizona. It’s bad enough for federal dollars to be funding criminal organizations such as ACORN for political purposes, but if U of A funded this blatent leftist/Obama propaganda, my representatives will soon be hearing from me.

Folks, face the facts. By 2012, the right will need a real platform to run on and not anti-Obama sentiment. Clinton was in worse shape in ’94 and look what happened. If the right continues this way, Obama will win in a walk. Repeal the heath care reform? Fine, if it can be done (and it probably cant’) but what then? Time to stop shouting and get down to work because without positive results in the eyes of the center, 2012 could be very bad for conservatives.

Okay, it’s a weird *ss memorial slogan. But maybe it’s a typo. Yeah, the printers forgot to put in spaces. It should read “To get her wet, rhive!”. I still haven’t figured out what “rhive” means, perhaps it’s Egyptian. Wait, it’s almost like they misspelled the word “river’.
Yeah, that’s it. It’s supposed to read, “To get her wet, river Tucson and Arizona.” Yeah, it’s from the Arizona Department of Tourism promoting Arizona’s famous river system for boaters. You know, for kayakers, riverboat cruises and such. Yeah, that’s probably it.
Anyways, those are some plausible explanations for such a stunning award winning graphics piece.

If someone I loved had been killed in this mindless massacre, I would be infuriated with the “Together We Thrive” slogan. I would rather see nothing, but “Together We Grieve” would be much more appropriate.
The families are likely still in shock and/or denial, but at some point the pain and grief will begin in earnest. This “Thrive” business seems to just ignore the deep sadness and anger that has to occur before any healing can begin. It’s a version of “just move on and get on with your life” and is the wrong statement at the wrong time.

The shirts, previously printed for use by the University of Arizona chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s margarita-laden wet-t-shirt contest during fall rush, went unused when the local chapter of “Womyn of UA Stop Sexism (WUSS)” put a stop to the planned party.
Deflated, but relieved, the fraternity recovered their money when they sold the “GetHerWet” shirts to the University.

If unity of spirit was the desired affect, then print the inclusive messaging:
“Tucson, America”.
But the leftist Alinsky point instead was to target, isolate and ridicule Arizona from the rest of America.
And in that segregated isolation making Tucson the outcast, on Obama’s terms only can anyone “thrive” via open borders with the butchering Mexican drug cartels permeating our lives while DHS performs authoritarian and absolutely ineffective humiliating strip searches and toxic scans. You don’t have to be a Mexican citizen to “belong” to a Mexican drug cartel. Wittingly or not, US citizens, whether drug dealers or users, provide services for the cartels’ use.
These cartels have already effected the piracy of Mexico, coming and going at will to terrorize decency. They come day and night, breaking into homes, beating and kidnapping fathers, raping mothers in front of the children, and dragging the bodies of their mutilated victims to rot in the desert near the US border. This is a broken record in Chihuahua. Where it is illegal to own or use a firearm, the thugs rule in terror. Pirates. “Yes We Can” murder and plunder. “Together We Thrive” refusing to either recognize or enforce rule of law.
For years unfettered by the US and Mexican governments, these thugs have rampantly violated the USA. Already, Phoenix was called the kidnap capital of the USA according to FBI statistics. And along with the crimes committed by cartels, the violations of US immigration laws have been encouraged by both the Mexican and US Governments as official policy.
Although Gabrielle Giffords supported congressional leniency regarding illegal aliens, she presented a threat to the cartels with congressional plans to get tough. According to Tucson’s local tv live coverage at the scene, Sheriff Dupnik failed for three hours to secure the scene of the Tucson shooting spree, while Obama ordered FBI Chief Mueller to oversee the investigation.
Obama with AG Holder are not simply prosecuting the State of Arizona in order to prove that unconstitutional political policy has precedence over constitutional duty to protect the nation’s borders, interior and citizens. (What states are joining the AZ defense?) Obama is altering the content of the 9th federal judicial court at this very moment in preparation for his policy refusal to uphold the US Constitution law suit v. The State of Arizona in dire need of the POTUS to enforce constitutional law.
