ST. LOUIS TEA PARTY STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH TRENT HUMPHRIES AND THE TUCSON TEA PARTY

Dr. King once said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice, everywhere.” It’s sadly ironic that on MLK Day, the gross negligence and unjust reporting of the mainstream media, Sheriff Dupnik, Paul Krugman, Markos Moulitsas, MSNBC, and CNN has led to the techno-lynching of an entire group of people for the actions of one seriously disturbed individual – Jared Loughner – who, as it turns out, is not a tea partier and who has no ties to the tea party…whatsoever. Dr. King would have been appalled to see such bald-faced bigotry and evil.

On Saturday, Tucson tea party leader Trent Humphries was threatened during a live town hall meeting. The event was hosted by ABC. While Trent was speaking, an audience member, Eric Fuller, screamed, “Trent Humphries, you’re dead!” Fuller was arrested and escorted from the meeting. On the way out the door, Fuller screamed again, “You’re all whores.”

But this isn’t the first time Humphries has received death threats in the wake of the Giffords shooting. In fact, Humphries receives death threats daily. It seems that the constant media frenzy to indict, try, convict, and hang the Tea Party for the viciousness of Jared Loughner has taken its toll. Thanks to the efforts of the mainstream media, the tea party has been convicted in the court of public opinion for a crime it had no part in. And this, all because the media has maliciously disregarded journalistic ethics by jumping the gun. Whats more, the media continues to perpetuate the myth, and the techno-lynchings occur daily.

“Suddenly anyone who believes in the constitution, belongs to a tea party organization, or owns a firearm is now a de facto terrorist,” said Jim Hoft of the St. Louis Tea Party.

Across the country in St. Louis, Bill Hennessy and Ben Evans of the St. Louis Tea Party experienced bigotry as a result of this media malpractice. A day after the shooting, Hennessy and Evans, having been identified as tea partiers, were accosted by an irate motorist who slowed her vehicle to a crawl to scream “F**king Terrorists!” at the men. A number of other tea partiers all over St. Louis, all over Missouri, and all over the nation are experiencing similar discrimination and hatred. This is what happens, though, when the truth is forced to ride in the back of the bus.

The Left is still slinging hate while accusing the Right of same. It’s revolting to listen to these people accusing all of us who just want to live our lives peacefully.

What they are doing, however, is angering the Right. We’re human, too, and nobody enjoys being accused of things they didn’t do. Believe me, the anger the accusations is engendering is stiffening spines all over the nation. Politicians may cringe (they have no spines anyway) but ordinary people are quietly furious. It is my opinion this assault is going to backfire big time.

You see, we know what is behind it. The Left, with its slavering hatred and demands that the Right moderate its “tone” is telling the Right to shut up and go along with them. It is no more complicated than that.

Real Liberals believe in an honest search for truth, care in assembling facts that are meaningful, and rigorous analysis. Real Liberals respect Conservatives, and recognize that the concerns of Conservatives are legitimate.

bg, I’ve only seen excerpts, but I just checked the Michigan E-Library (MeL), which combines all the public libraries in Michigan. I want this 4-DVD set, and they don’t have any loanable copies. I’ve read extensively about it, and it’s all interviews. No footage from the 30′s, just interviews with video and subtitles. The sadness, anguish and unbelievable remorse is seen in every frame. This is what every person in America needs to see, and they need to see it because we are on the cusp of this happening again, but in America. I don’t know how many “leaders”, per se, are represented in these interviews, but there are more than nine hours of interviews on these discs, covering everyone from German officers to Polish peasants.

I am friends with a family from Poland, and when I asked what they knew about Treblinka, they grew quite morose and obviously this was a very, very hard subject for them to speak about.

When my tax returns come back (if Obama hasn’t stolen it all this time), I think I’m going to buy this Korean set from Amazon, (huge discount from the original, but only subbed, not overdubbed in english), because I’ve been wanting to see it for quite some time. It would be a better use of my tax returns than another useless XBox game or two.
