It begins… A Florida school not only banned Christmas but banned everything associated with Christmas including Christmas colors…
Because someone might be offended.

FOX Nation reported:
A school in Florida has not only banned Christmas – but everything associated with the Christian holiday.
Teachers at Heathrow Elementary School have been ordered to banish images of Santa Claus from classrooms – along with traditional Christmas colors like red and green.
“You can’t use red and green,” one outraged parent told WESH. “It’s ridiculous.”
The parent, who serves as a volunteer room mother, said she was recently given a list of guidelines that listed the holiday restrictions.
She said the basic theme of the letter was, “We don’t want to offend anyone who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or the Christian beliefs.”

Here is a school that is ready for a bitch slap via a lawyer.
Sorry to inform them but discrimination against christians is just that,
DISCRIMINATION. This is going to be good.
Granny commented:
Santa Claus is hardly a “Christian” belief. Have they also banned blue, white and silver for Chanukah and green for Eid? Or are they one of those schools who provide prayer facilities for Ramadan.
alan commented:
I think you can stop saying “it begins” now.
It started a while ago.

One word-
Festivus.

red and green are ok Heathrow Elementary School. It’s any referrence to CHRISTmas they oppose.
redc1c4 commented:
they left “…but we don’t mind offending Christians.” out of the announcement.
Chisum commented:
Wow, is this an example of the “tyranny of the minority”?

What is their position on the color orange for the religious holiday of Halloween?

You’ve got to be kidding me.
But similar crap has been happening over here for a while. St. Martin stuff is banned in some kindergartens. St Niklaus isn’t allowed to enter some kindergartens anymore. Etc.
I’m so getting annoyed by this crap.
“We don’t want to offend anyone who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or the Christian beliefs.”
That means: we don’t want to offend mohammedans and zealous atheists.
Buddhists won’t complain. Shintoists neither. Heck, Christmas is celebrated in Japan. It has no meaning there, but it’s cute and nice and thus it’s done. Nobody’s bitching.
Magnum commented:
alan is so correct. “It begins” should be “it continues”.
I don’t believe in Obama, yet I’m forced to look at him on the news as well as on bumper stickers and t-shirts. I’m offended by him daily. Where is my relief?
Muffin commented:
Learning has also been banned at that school. PUBLIC SCHOOLS = FAIL
Sally commented:
What is the name and address of the school? If they ban Christmas, then they also need to ban all holidays as not to offend others. Holloween offends me and I know many others. Let’s start getting equal attention here. Merry Christmas to everybody!!!
succotash commented:
Well now I’m offended. More PC..BS. I’ll bet they would let them wear red and green burqas.
Insufficiently Sensitive commented:
Why is it trumps for the social Nazis to ban things that MIGHT offend someone, while those whose beliefs embody the First Amendment, and are actually OFFENDED by such autocratic prohibitions, are forced to shut up and sit in back of the bus?
Garrett commented:
The obvious solution is to resist. Send your children to school dressed in red and green. Take cookies to class shaped like Christmas trees. Wish people Merry Christmas in cheery tones in the hallways.
wildboyscout commented:
Every parent that has a child at that school should take them out until christmas is re-enstated, schools get thier mony based on kids in school each day
Dianne commented:
Yeah, folks, and in Sarasota, Florida, they’re selling “Angel Trees” and “Angel Decorations” this year, NOT Christmas Trees, nor even Christmas decorations either.
right4us commented:
As many parents as possible should ban together and stop sending their kids to that school. Find any means possible to either home school, enter them in another – or just hold them out and demand the reversal of this idiocy, and the removal of all involved in this leftwing lunacy. Make a scene of this. Call the idiots out to defend themselves and their moronic, chicken sh_t capitulation to the intollerant “true” bigots.
TheTriGuy commented:
And Granny, don’t forget places to wash their feet as well.
I’m sorry but this just shows the absolute stupidity of those on the left. They have no belief or faith (except belief and faith in themselves or the government) otherwise they would know that Santa Claus is a pagen belief. No, it is not a variation on the theme of the three wisemen bearing gifts. So is red and green and just about everything else associated with Christmas except the Nativity.
Now, if they said they don’t want to celebrate Christmas because of the commercialism involved and the feeling that some poorer kids might be hurt emotionally because of the advertising involved, I might go along with that. But this isn’t about that. It’s about “Let’s get as much as we can done while Obama and his Justice Department are in power.”
BurmaShave commented:
Of course, they do not believe in Santa Claus; they do not have any snow either.
My suggestion for this wretched school: Do not have a Christmas holiday or break because, you are secularist who deny the divinity of Christ. Do not have a Winter holiday or break because you do not have a proper winter. Just work straight through to New Years Day, which is perfect as a holiday for Secularists.
